The heroine makes certain assumptions (view spoiler)[she thinks Marco is her potential father's lover (hide spoiler)] but had sex with him regardless. But if you can get past that it's actually a pretty good story. After all, not everything is as it seems. It was original and the sex scenes were hot. Everything was resolved too quickly and neatly for my taste but, overall, I really liked it....more

Evie (Pixie) and Abel met as young teens. Abel moved to town to live with his uncle after his parents died but everyone knows who he is. He's a monster - the product of two sinners and their unnatural love. (Yeah, it was taboo but the town overreacted. Yeesh.) Abel and Pixie have a connection from the start. She's determined to be Abel's friend no matter the cost. But as the years pass their friendship turns into more.
Jesus Christ this book was sexual. Where's my fan? The dirty talking and even dirtier fucking made me blush. It felt a little uncomfortable coming from barely legal teenagers. In fact, their entire relationship seemed unhealthy and unrealistic. But I think Evie did the right thing in the end. Didn't hate it but it's not my favorite from Kent. ...more

Wow. Ladies and gentlemen that's how you end a love triangle trilogy. Amazing. It's no secret I've been Team Trace but I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed no matter who Danni chose. And I wasn't. My lips are sealed. Don't peek! Read it through and enjoy the experience.
I wasn't sure how to feel when I first started reading. The situation felt contrived and a teensy bit cheesy but it quickly got back on track. Loads of sexy times. And prepare to cry the entire final thirty percent. It was beautiful. Bravo....more

Layla is on the path to getting over the unrequited love she feels for her best friend, Caleb. She hasn't seen him in two years and she blames herself for the loss of their friendship. But while at college she becomes obsessed with Thomas. He catches her eye and her old patterns of fixation start to come back. Thomas is a victim of unrequited love himself as he is in love with his wife but she doesn't return his feelings. This makes Layla believe they are meant to be.
I loved the way Kent wrote Layla. She was fascinating. I've never read a heroine like this before and I'm a huge fan of originality.
And talk about erotic. I think the sexual tension was even more filthy than the actual sex scenes. Mercy. But the depth of the story provided a nice balance. I'm in love with this book. Well done....more

Holy f#@k this book was a punch in the gut. And I loved it. Danni was a great heroine. She's so confident and open with her heart. Several years ago she went through hell but she's finally ready to move on. That's when she meets Trace. He's grouchy and high-handed and just what she needs. If you're a fan of Godwin you know you're in for an angst filled ride with sexy times. And even though you can figure out what's coming it still hits you like a freight train. I have no clue where book two will take us but I can't wait to find out. Amazing....more

Wow. That was highly erotic. I dare you to get through this book without needing some relief if you know what I mean. But some of the scenarios tested my comfort levels (the minotaur, fisting, etc.). They made me cringe a little, to be honest. But that's what Tiffany Reisz or rather her character, Nora Sutherlin, does. She likes to bulldoze boundaries.
Mona is the owner of The Red, an art museum handed down to her from her recently deceased mother. The Red is on the verge of bankruptcy and Mona vowed she would do anything to keep the doors open. That's when she meets Malcolm. They strike a deal and every six weeks or so they reenact an erotic scene from a painting. The story delves into the paranormal and taboo. And the ending left me wanting to know more.
I don't know if I can say I liked it but I was definitely riveted. ...more

This short story is the priest's (Roark) pov from the time he spent in his bunker with Eve from Dead of Eve. I strongly suggest it's read first but if you choose not to you can still easily follow.
Since Eve is the last female on Earth, Roark has made a vow to protect her. Not just from the creatures but also from men. But being in confined quarters is seriously testing his vow of celibacy. When he finally gives in it's HOT HOT HOT!

What a great story. I really shouldn't like it. Sam is a peeper (amongst other things, worse things). But he's also this vulnerable little boy that you just want to hug. Jones did a great job of making him highly likeable.
After seeing the sweet way Vesper cares for her handicapped brother, Sam goes against his m.o. and takes Vesper with him to keep for himself. Vesper is a people pleaser, a caretaker, but she also has this secret need to be a man's sole obsession. They're oddly perfect for each other.
There are dark themes in this book. It's definitely not for everyone. But I was very happy with it. Well done. ...more

If you're a fan of J.J. McAvoy, Amelia LeFay is her pseudonym. I see why she wanted the separation. This book is extremely erotic and a bit different from what we're used to from her.
M/M/F relationships aren't new. Hello, Double Time by Olivia Cunning, Beyond Eden by Kele Moon, and many more I'm sure. But LeFay still does it well. The sex is smoking hot and the relationships are endearing and believable - The way the three feel about each other as a whole and the way each of them feel about the other two individually.
Plus, there's just a great storyline. I must say there's a killer cliffhanger. I'm usually okay with a cliffy and I knew there would be one but I still had a tantrum at the end. Lol. If you're okay with it pick this book up ASAP. You won't be sorry. Well done. ...more

I was wondering how Fantome was going to pull off a worthy follow up to the brilliance of Best Laid Plans but she totally did. The story begins months later after Lily has picked herself up after Marc stood her up.
She's in search of Kingsley to help her train and fulfill her revenge plan against Stankovsky. The state she finds Kingsley in makes my heart hurt for him. He's such a complex man and I hope we get his story from his pov someday. I like that Lily is refocused on her original goal and not necessarily on finding Marc.
The action sequences are as big and bold and clever as in BLP. They play out in movie form in your imagination just as vividly. Marc and Lily's reunion was priceless. And there's a new hottie introduced - Damiano Ledo - ally or enemy? You have to read to find out.
I really liked Marc in this book. He has the same swagger and bless his heart you know he meant well when he ditched Lily. Through the whole beginning you're looking forward to him seeing Lily again and you're singing, "You're gonna get your ass kicked." Lol. And Fantome delivers. But I especially loved Marc's transformation. He learned to stop treating Lily as a delicate flower and let her be the badass that she is.
In BLP, Lily's revenge plan was kind of a pipe dream. We weren't sure if Lily was going to see it through. But with Marc and Kingsley's help, that she's finally learned to accept, it's become a reality. I thought Fantome was very creative with the plan and all of the technicalities involved. There was a definite OMG moment in there that will make you gasp out loud.
I'm very impressed with the originality of this series and I'm very sad to see it end. Well done!
