Honestly, I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I came with super low expectations but high hopStarted for the spice, stayed for the mystery.

Emily lost touch with her best friend Amber years ago, but when Amber called her out of the blue with a code meant to say when they need help, Emily is trying to find her. Only, Amber is nowhere to be found, and the last person she's been seen with is Reeve.
Reeve isn't a man you mess with, but Emily is set to find her friend or at least some answers, so she going to use the only way she knows how to attract men, and seduce Reeve.
Beyond everything, the author's writing is so good. She pulls you into the story, making you keep reading. And with the mystery going you can't keep down the book, as you find out only what Emily finds out and you keep guessing with her.
As I said, I started this for the spice, but I didn't like it that much lol. Some parts where too much to me and I didn't like them and sometimes I even skipped. There were good parts, of course, but the spice didn't end up the reason I kept reading.
Emily isn't perfect, and there were so many times I got upset with her and wanted her to be stronger, to not give up on her search even if she's catching feelings, but she's still a good heroine that's entertaining to read about and through her eyes.
I loved that some parts of her and Amber's past were added to the story. It gave us so much more insight on who they're as a person and what their relationship has been like, and what they've been through together.
Also I absolutely thought it was a standalone until it ended with a cliffhanger. Which is funny since I contemplated between reading this or fantasy but I didn't want to start a new series, so I chose this... Yet here I am going to read the sequel.....more

I keep searching for fbi or undercover cops and all I ever get is some people who call themselves cops but clearly got this job by accident. If you remember how I bashed the cop from Too Late and I said how he's so bad at this job and should switch careers, well meet Arabella, him in a female. She's also the worst cop ever. She gets to a new town and instantly get this undercover job no one involved in except her and her boss even though she's the worst liar and she goes to a club owner and completely forget her actual job because he's so sexy. She starts working at his club to find information but all she ever does is get hot over him and she doesn't even have a game plan so she just.. works there.. that's it. At least in this book she actually quit her job. Well, I'm not sure she did because I dnf it, but I'm pretty sure it was leading up to that....more
