Nobody knows how to deal with grief, trauma, rejection, anger- let alone a scared 15 year old girl. This does a pitch perfect job of giving voice to Charlene, a grieving, overwhelmed big sister who has been separated from her younger sister, lost her mother and been placed in the foster care system.
It’s also a wonderful addition to the book world of craftivism. There is power in focusing on the smallness of yarn and knitting and creating.
