I liked Eleanor and Logan. I liked how loyal she was to her family home. I liked how much he liked her intelligence. Together they had some great conversations. Her family and fiancé were all crap and the dog was absolutely the best part.
Plot wise it was okay. There’s more inner monologue than I would have liked and loads of telling, not showing. I didn’t quite get the leap from friendship to lust to love. After all of the imprisonment, browbeating, and starvation, I wanted more of a punishment for her family. And while the HEA was great, I still wanted even more from the ending.
Overall, it was the characters that kept me reading. I am mildly intrigued to see who the previous stories were about and may go back to read them.

I loved Jess and Noel. She’s well read and smart and looking for control. He’s charming and loyal and looking to relinquish control. Together they have instant chemistry and enough banter to choke someone. Seeing the rest of the Union was fun and I’m really hoping we get to see a certain lady in an upcoming story.
Plot wise it was good. There are loads of scenes with Jess and Noel together. I was absolutely living for their conversations and the longing filled glances. Of course there’s the inevitable break up, but the angsty times weren’t that bad and the epilogue is perfection.
Overall, it’ll definitely be a story I read again and I can’t wait to catch a glimpse of Jess and Noel in future books.

I absolutely loved this premise and was excited at the idea of finding a new series to start.
I really liked Eliza and Thomas. She’s sweet and maybe a little feisty and he loves pushing her buttons. I enjoyed their history and friendship and the banter. There are a few other characters, but no one stole the scene like Eliza’s daughter did.
Plot wise, it was okay. There was a lot of drama for the sake of drama. All of this could have been fixed with a bit of conversation {instead of incessant inner monologues}, especially when there were a minimum of two people who knew about their feelings for each other. The monotony of the push and pull got a bit old and honestly, I felt bad that Eliza was ignoring everything.
Overall, it was a decent storyline with characters I could easily root for. I definitely wanted more from the ending, but I’m eager to see who is going to be in the next book.

I loved Mia and Caden. They're both snarky and strong and just really good people. I enjoyed how loyal and protective they were to each other. The connection between them came quickly and it was easy to see.
The story was fast paced and fairly believable. I enjoyed the action, but I loved the sweet moments even more. And the epilogue was perfection. I'll definitely be checking out the next book.

I ended up devouring it and loving it so much, I had to sleep on it before writing this review.
I loved Georgia and Eli. They're both so loyal and loving and the connection between them is absolutely palpable. The friend group is wonderfully supportive and I loved the scenes with everyone together.
Plot wise, it's so good. There's a lot of history between the MCs and reading Georgia navigate the current situation with Eli while reminiscing over past hurts really fleshed out their relationship. I loved the tension and the UST and the chemistry for days, but especially how they fell back into the easy banter.
Overall, I woke up thinking about this book and even read the last couple of chapters again. I can't wait to read the entire story again and this is definitely one of my favorites of the year.

I'm fairly new to loving baseball, so I really appreciated this premise.
I really liked Daphne and Chris. Their meet cute isn't so cute and I thought I'm fairly new to loving baseball, so I really appreciated this premise.
I really liked Daphne and Chris. Their meet cute isn't so cute and I thought it was a clever start to the story. Daphne and Chris are both smart, loyal, struggling. They find something in the other while messaging that resonates and it was a delicious unfolding in the story.
Plot wise it was good. I'm not usually a fan of the catfishing slash secret identity thread, but this one felt like an innocent accident that spiraled out of control. I loved reading them text and then see the juxtaposition of the in-person actions. Of course there's blowback, but there needed to be. And while I wanted more from the epilogue, it was set up to tell me where they're going.
Overall, this fell like a sort of love letter to baseball and it was easy to root for these characters.

I loved Daphne and Miles. They seem wonderfully opposite until you scratched the surface and find they're a lot more alike and compliment each other well. This group of secondary characters were a lot of fun. I could easily read more of Ashleigh and Julia.
Plot wise, it was a delicious unfolding. These two have such an organic building of a relationship from acquaintances to friends to more and I was here for every page. I especially loved how the Peter/Petra situation faired.
Overall, this one could be my favorite book from Emily and I can't wait to read what's next from her.

I don't know how I feel about Hannah. She's unfulfilled in life and her inner monologue was (at times) a struggle to get through. To me, it read like she didn't want to take responsibility for anything and instead does a woe-is-me about things being unfair. All of the other characters in this story are seen through Hannah and no one was really fleshed out.
Plot wise, it was boring. There's absolutely no tension or build up and the reveal was unsurprising. The last chapter was a bit of a flash forward and while somehow fitting, it also seemed unfinished. (Perhaps that was the point?)
Overall, I love the idea of this one, but it was way too easy to skip around and I could have left it unfinished.

I liked Cora and Leo. They're both good people, settling into a marriage of convenience...and then had to wait a very long time for any sort of chemistry to show up. I liked the small portions shown of Cora's sisters, but this was firmly the story of Cora and Leo.
Plot wise, it was a bit boring. There's basically no conflict, there's a lot of telling instead of showing, and by the time these two figure their shit out, the book is over. It was a very slow meandering that felt repetitive at times.
Overall, it was good, but likely not memorable. I am definitely here for the next in the series and hopefully more of Cora and Leo's HEA.

Too many characters, too many backstories, not enough tension. I did skip to 85% and read for all of the reveals. I was intrigued, but it wasn't enough to get me to read the middle of the book.

I've liked Nicole from the first time she was on the page. She's smart, knows her worth, and speaks her mind. Emmet is protective disguised as crunchiness and I was thrilled to finally get his pov. These two have respect for each other, and while they aren't always the best at openness, they know what the other one is feeling.
Plot wise, it was good. I liked the story arc and all of the moving pieces kept me wondering. One of my favorite things is how at the end, the POVs switch around to give a full aspect of what is happening. It's maddening and fantastic at the same time.
Overall, this is a great addition to the series and with the set up at the ending, I'm wondering if it's now complete. I'll just be over here, hoping for more.

I liked Amerie and Vincent. They're both loyal and good people who love whole heartedly. Together they have so much potential and it feels like we just scratched the surface between them. The best part of this book is the relationship between Amerie and her BFF Gina.
Plot wise, it was okay. I could have done with a few more open conversations between Amerie and Vincent. I wanted so much to fall in love with them, yet there was something holding me back from being able to.
Overall, this was a cute story, but it was really easy for me to set it down. I do look forward to future books from Etta.

I really loved Clementine and Iwan. They were both so easy to root for and get invested in. I loved Fiona and Drew and the friendship the three of them had.
Plot wise, it was the slowest of slow burns and it took me some time to settle into the story. I'm still a bit disjoined at the timeline, but I can't dwell on it too long.
Overall, this was comfy and confusing and satisfying. And I know this review makes no sense.
