It was predictable (and not in a good way), overdramatic, and I just didn't see their connection beyond the constant sex. And then the whole thing with his ex, whyyyyy. So so so overdramatic and toxic, like he was also part of the problem in how he'd handled the whole situation in the years since (just constantly picking up her calls and giving information like that??), I don't know why Eloise was okay with that. Also Eloise's family treats her like shit and that was never really properly acknowledged or addressed, it was just very oh well they do that because they love me.
Everyone raved about this one and I have to be honest, I didn't really like it. ...more

And he was so cute with Drake - when he calms the baby so she can sleep, I die!!! Hot men + babies is honestly the way to my heart. And the nickname honey?? Turns out that really works for me.
Memphis was a fun character to follow, although I do think we could’ve seen her backstory have a bit more influence on her. How did she go from spoiled rich girl to being like the best cleaner ever?? She seemed relatively well adjusted to her new tax bracket and all the trials and tribulations that come with it, and that felt a little unrealistic. But I thought her story was interesting and I liked her as a character (we love to see a woman standing up for herself!!), and really liked her with Knox.
All that to say, this was cute!! And defs much more romance than book one, I would say this is actually a romance book as opposed to book one which I felt was more romance b plot. I’m a little cautious going into book three because from what I’ve heard of the plot it is noooooot for me. But I’m hoping to be proven wrong, and I’ve heard very good things about book four, so fingers crossed! ...more

I wouldn’t say this was bad, just not for me. Felt very YA and a lot of telling what they did or talked about rather than me just experiencing it as a reader? Weirdly I felt like I was reading a piece of writing that probably would’ve gotten a good grade in a high school English class but wasn’t actually like a proper novel.
I think a lot of people will enjoy this but it’s just not my cup of tea. ...more
