But on this beautiful Sunday evening, I finally got to read it. This poetry collection is one to cherish and I absolutely love it. It found me at the right time and I got teary so many times while reading. Kirsten’s writing is so raw and so gentle. I just want to hug her and say THANK YOU for writing this. As someone who’s gone through a lot these past years, these poems really made me feel seen and heard. There are so many emotions that I’ve finally understood after reading Kirsten’s poems. She explained to me the feelings I’ve felt. I know it took me so long to read it, but I think I am meant to read it this particular time.
Good part: The story kept me guessing and curious. So I managed to finish it. Also, the plot twist ✨ . I kind of suspected something in the 2.5 stars.
Good part: The story kept me guessing and curious. So I managed to finish it. Also, the plot twist ✨ . I kind of suspected something in the middle of the story, i was right but it went deeper, so that’s great.
Negative: Our main character, Bel, is so rude and just unlikeable. I get that she had some abandonment issues and other issues but she didn’t get to react that way. She swears a lot and it made my ears itched. I almost DNF’d the book because of her… but I kept going because I was again, curious. She is unbearable and sometimes she treated everyone bad for no reason, for example: made fun of people just because someone wear something different. She is bossy, wanted to be understood, and obnoxious and no one tells her off.
Also 400 more pages? Like.. i think it would be better if it’s shorter, so that we don’t need to read about Bel for that long.
So that’s that.
If you are looking for a fun, good twisted and dark mystery book and don’t mind a rude and obnoxious character, go head pick this one. ...more

The story tells a beautiful story about a kid and her family lives in the round house. It is really a lovely concept and still gives a beautiful reminder about the nature around us. However, the way it’s written just felt flat.
I picked this book without expecting anything though the summary grabbed my attention right away. However, I did nOne of my favourite read this year.
I picked this book without expecting anything though the summary grabbed my attention right away. However, I did not expect that I would love it this much. The writing of Mr. Yagisawa is very simple, feels innocent yet tender. I just love everything about this book. The settings, atmosphere, the family relationship between uncle and niece.
I cried few times reading this book and I know that this book found me at the right time....more

This book is EVERYTHING. I don't know why it took me very long to read it properly. But this story is a one that I will cherish forever. The nature, the writing, the sense of family, the positivity, the value of Faith and how it made me cry many times, the characters, the settings, Heidi's perspectives and how much they taught me. This book spoke to me and yes, I read it slowly, because I didn't want it to end.
What I am trying to say is this: I. LOVE. THIS. BOOK....more
