That someone, her fiance Leon Stanton, turned out to be someone she didn't really know . A killer and a thief and now he's after her because of what she knows. He will stop at nothing to keep her from sharing what she's discovered about him. Not even the strong forces of a tornado can stop the chase. Amish man Micah King is struggling to get inside his barn when a red car comes hurtling through his wheat field and lands on its side inches from him. As the storm subsides he checks the car and discovers a small dog and a Englisher woman inside, who is badly hurt. He must help her the best he can. Little does he know what lies ahead for him and his siblings. This gripping suspense story kept me on the edge of my seat and glued to the pages. I liked how the story played out and I thought the two main characters had strong wills and personalities. No matter what they tried to do to keep Samantha away from Leon he always seemed to be one step ahead of them every time they made a move. I thought the book was entertaining and unpredictable. Along with all of this action, romance also became a part of this story. I recommend Amish Country Secret to readers of Suspense Fiction, fans of Lenora Worth and readers of Love Inspired books. It's the fifth book of the author's Amish Seasons series. It can be read as a stand alone but characters are bought over from the other books in this series. I purchased a copy of this book from Amazon. A favorable review was not requested. All opinions expressed here are my own.

They were secondary characters,Kyle being Harleys younger brother. In A Precious Gift Kyle and Gabby are the main characters. Gabby faces a life changing situation in the first chapter of this book. Nothing will ever be the same for her again and she can't go back, only forward. This could end her relationship with Kyle. What will her mother and brother think? What is she going to do? Kyle is very happy in his relationship with Gabby. In fact he thinks that he loves her. His brother Jim thinks he should break it off with her because she isn't Amish. Kyle tells him to mind d his own business and the two argue. What will his Amish parents and family think about his growing devotion to an English girl? Will they try to talk him into ending the courtship? I enjoyed this story because it was very realistic. I did feel that Kyle had wonderful parents who stood behind their son. Kyle seemed like a responsible and caring person. I liked how protective he was of Gabby and her feelings. This novella drew me in quickly and kept my interest and attention to the very end. The book also gives readers a sneak peak into The Protective One, the next book in the series. This book would be ideal for all fans of Shelley Shepard Gray and for readers of Amish fiction and Christian Fiction. I highly recommend it for your reading pleasure. I downloaded a Kindle ebook version of A Precious Gift. A review was not requested. All opinions expressed here in this review are my own.

What I love about this was that it is a mystery about a beautiful necklace that turns up inside a hidden drawer of an Amish made dresser, that Diane Weatherly had purchased used, from Samuel Yoder. Also there's a second mystery about the disappearance of a well known author. And how does Claire Weatherly fit into all of this? Well you know our Claire. She won't rest until she locates the owner of the mysterious necklace. All she wants is to return it to its rightful owner.
I thoroughly enjoyed this mini mystery. Drew me in at the start of the book and kept me to the last page. Even though it's a short read it was every bit of what readers have come to expect from a Laura Bradford cozy mystery. Although no one was murdered in Plain As Day this reader was not disappointed and felt the book fulfilled my reading needs and expectations. All readers of Cozy Mystery and Amish Fiction will love this book. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have. I downloaded a Kindle ebook copy of this book from The Ohio Digital Library. As I was browsing ebooks on Amazon this beautiful cover called out to me. I couldn't pass it by. Being familiar with the author's writing I purchased the ebook. I should mention here, and as you will know by the books title it is a Christmas romance story too. From the first Chapter it quickly became edge of seat suspense and continued on that way to the last chapter. I so love a book that pulls me in like this one did. Alisha Braxton, who was on her way home to spend Christmas with her grandma Willis , made a quick stop at a town festival hoping to find some last minute gifts in some of the shops there. Pulling into a parking place she witnessed a double murder and the killers knew she seen them do it. She became the only eye witness and from that minute and on into the following days, her life became a living nightmare as she fled from the killers who were pursuing her. She called out to private investigator, Nathan Craig for help. Now they are both fleeing for their lives. These killers are smart and ruthless in their Chase. Will Alisha and Nathan be able to stay one step ahead of them? Amish Christmas Hideaway will capture all readers of Suspense thrillers. Although the two main characters are not Amish the plain people do get into the story so readers of Amish Fiction would like this book too. Tricia decides to go to the family cottage near Walnut Creek as a get away. Her family is vacationing in Florida but she choose to stay home. Unfortunately the weather takes a turn for the worse as a blizzard blows into the area trapping her at the cottage without heat and power. In desperation she calls her brother Andy for help. This novella mainly focusses on Andy , Tricia and Logan. In book one Andy has already died . The author wanted her readers to get to know Andy in this short story. Andy has always been the person people have turned to for help. He's a born leader and all his friends have always looked up to him. Can he get help for his stranded sister before it's too late? This is a nice short read to kick off the Walnut Creek series. I didn't want to miss reading it. Actually I've read the first two books of the series. All fans of Shelley Shepard Gray will want to read this novella before reading into the series. It's a story about how friends stick together and help each other in times of need. I down loaded a copy of Friends to the End from Amazon. A review was not requested. All opinions shared here are my own.

Miller’s Loves Journey in Sugarcreek series. Although it is an older book it was my first time reading it. I loved all the characters which made the book come to life. It was a mixture of Amish and English characters. There were some edge of seat parts to the book that kept me turning the pages. I gave it five stars because it was entertaining, unpredictable, original, easy to read, inspirational, and yes I like to see that in a book. I thought it was realistic because the main characters had good and bad things happening to them during the coarse of the book. I’m definitely wanting to read book three and four of this series.
Rachel and Joe get married and together with Bobby become a family. Rachel gets pregnant and Joe finds out he’s penniless. A new character enters the story , Carl Bateman and readers get to learn about why he plays an important part of this book. Rachel has a hard time finding forgiveness in her heart towards someone who has hurt her deeply. Darren Matthias , Joe’s brother returns and readers get to glimpse his good side. Bertha, Lydia and Anna, Rachel’s three aunts are still running the B&B and are a big part of this story. Near the end there’s an unpredictable twist to the story that you won’t want to miss.
Readers of Amish Fiction and Suspense Books will find this book to their liking. It is part of a series but it could be read as a standalone book. I would recommend reading it in order because characters from book one are carried over into this book.

I have always been very curious about the Amish and their lifestyle. Linda Byler had added nuggets of gold to this story about the Amish lifestyle, for readers like me. I have read the first book that introduced readers to a very young Lizzie so I enjoyed this book that bought me up to date on an older Liz. I thought the characters were realistic and the author is truthful in this book when she gives her characters good and bad personalities. I was drawn into the story and loved it. Liz Byler was engaged to be married to Ray three years ago but he broke her heart when he called off the engagement one month before the wedding date. He wasted no time in dating Liz's best friend and then marrying her. Liz has guarded her heart for the past three years to protect herself from being hurt again. When her new boss Matthew Zook shows interest and wants to spend time with her Liz struggles with trusting him or any man for that matter. Matthew Zook is very handsome but Liz is very insecure and doesn't want to open her heart only to be hurt again. All the women at work flirt with Matthew and he seems to enjoy it. Wouldn't it be best to just stop seeing him and go back to being just single Liz? I recommend this book to readers of Amish Fiction. It can be read as a stand alone. I received a complimentary arc copy of this book from the Author and Publisher through Netgalley. A favorable review was not requested. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I throughly enjoyed the humor the Author added through out the story. This book had me Laughing out loud in the first chapter. There are other emotions that come to life in the book and I feel that is what made it such a great read. I loved the characters with their many different personalities that added so much to this story. The story plot was original and kept me flipping pages to the ending. A new Amish neighbor moves next door the Yoder farm. It isn’t long before he lets the Yoders know that they have been using six acres that belong to the farm he just bought. He wants their fence moved and the acres returned to him. Ada Yoder and her Dad Mervin Yoder feel the acres belong to them because no one has lived on that farm or kept it up for twenty years. Ada will do what it takes to keep those six acres even if she has to fight her new neighbor to keep them. Handsome Enos Hoover refuses to let the matter drop and the fight begins. Enos not only has to fight Ada but also his disgruntled angry mother who isn’t the least bit happy to be living in Colorado . Tabitha Hoover wants nothing more than to see her son’s plans fail so he will move them both back to Lancaster. Ada just wants to see things go back to the way they were before sneaky Enos Yoder moved next door. I thought this book was Author Diane Craver brings her Amish Adoption series to a close with a heart warming and realistic finale, A Journey for Amy. I thought this book was the best one in the series. It is romantic, emotional and unpredictable. There are happy times and some very sad times which I felt made the story seem more real. I appreciated that the Author refreshed the reader’s memory by briefly sharing some glimpses from the first two books. Readers who have not read the other books are able to be introduced to the characters and not be confused or lost in the story. This book was about making life changing decisions and learning to trust God to help you find the path that He wants you to follow. The book was an easy read and definitely a page turner. I loved the ending and felt that it was a great finale to a wonderful series. This entire series has been about Amish triplets who were separated shortly after their birth. Book three is Amy Yoder and Joe Barrett’s story. Amy has a huge life changing decision that she must make. Will she make that decision based on what her adoptive parents want her to do or will she go in the direction she feels that God is leading her to go. No matter what way she decides to go someone will be hurt. Once she makes her decision there will be no turning back. I highly recommend this book to readers of Amish Fiction, Christian Fiction and Women’s Fiction. If you have read the first two books of the series you won’t want to miss book three. If you read this book out of sequence I would recommend that you read book one and two because it will draw you more into the series and you will get to know the characters better. Good’s Surprised by Love series and it’s my favorite book in the entire series. The first part of this book was much the same as book six, Dating an Amish Flirt except that it was Anna Mary’s side of the story. We see her in a different light in this book. One of my favorite characters in this entire series is the eccentric elderly lady Mrs Vandenburg. I absolutely love this lady who brings so much into this series and she played a big role in this book. Anna Mary Zook learns to trust in God to handle an impossible situation in her life. In fact God handles two different impossible situations with the help of Mrs Vandenburg of course. Things just seemed to go from bad to worse as the story progresses but nothing is impossible for God to handle. The ending is a happy one for all the characters who learned to be patient and wait for God’s perfect timing.
I thought this book was entertaining, romantic , captivating, a page flipper, and inspirational. The kind of book I enjoy reading. I’m looking forward to reading more books yet to come in this series.
I highly recommend this book to readers of Christian Fiction, Sweet Amish Romance, and Woman’s Fiction. I think it’s one of the most heartfelt books by Wanda Brunstetter that I’ve read. It made me sad for the characters and my heart ached for Elsie Petersheim as she grieved so much for her missing daughter. Not knowing whether Rosa was alive or dead. Did she leave her family on her own or was she abducted as she made her way home after dark from a young people’s gathering? The entire Petersheim family lived their lives day by day praying that Rosa would walk through the door and be with her family once again. Norman was the oldest son and deeply felt the responsibility of protecting his family. He felt guilty that he hadn’t been able to protect Rosa the night she disappeared. The book was emotional but there was happiness at the books ending. Readers don’t get to find out what happened to Rosa so this mystery will continue on into book two. I thought this book was very realistic as it helps readers understand what families go through when a loved one disappears. The Petersheim family wanted closure but they also needed to place their faith in God and try not to solve the mystery without His help. I was glued to this story and my interest was peaked to the very last page. I highly recommend this book to readers of Amish Fiction and Christian Fiction. This is the first book in the Mifflin County Mystery series. If you enjoy mystery then you will like this book. I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. I was first drawn to the book because of the title. I’m no stranger to Shelley Shepard Gray’s books so I knew it would be a good read. I thought the cover was beautiful. I found the story to be an original and I was completely drawn into the book from page one. The ending was sad but with a hint of happiness to come. This is book one of the Amish ABCs series so it’s the best time to read it. Book two will be B Is for Bonnet and it releases in January 2025. It will pick up where book one left off. I loved this book and I’m delighted that I got to read it. A Is for Amish is a series about four siblings that live in the city of Cleveland Ohio. Their Father was raised Amish but he jumped the fence into the English world and married a city woman. The children spent summers with their Amish grandparents when they were growing up. Now they are educated and working in the city. They can’t forget their summers spent with their grandparents and feel drawn to their Amish heritage. They wonder what it would be like to live a plain life. Like moths being drawn to the light they decide to spend a year living with their Amish grandparents. They want to live the plain life for a year and find out if they might be more happy if they were to be baptized into that faith. This is their story and their experiences will be told in this book and the following books of this series. Can they find true happiness in being Amish or will they go back to live as Englishers when their year of adapting to a different life style is over? I highly recommend A Is for Amish to readers of Amish fiction and Amish romance. Readers of Christian fiction will enjoy this book. I borrowed a digital copy of this book from the Hoopla Library. I have been honest in my comments about my reading experience with this book.

Two hurting souls are bought together when they try to fake a courtship in order to make a little girl a permanent part of their lives. They had to learn the hard way that one lie leads to another and soon they get caught in their lies. What they didn’t count on was falling in love with each other. This is their story !
I felt the pain of the three main characters of this book. There are a lot of mixed feelings and emotions. There are also happy times as the characters find purpose in their lives. The ending was beautiful and made me cry . It was an easy read and I loved the story plot. I found it hard to put this book down. It goes on my favorite shelf.
I recommend this book to readers of Amish Romance Fiction and to fans of the Author. It can be read as a standalone.
I purchased my own copy. All thoughts and opinions shared here in this review are my own....more

She really hasn’t given much thought to romance or marriage in her life because of her limitations. When Doctor King steps into her life they become good friends but soon they are smitten with one another. This can’t become a relationship because Mary is a baptized member of the Amish faith and Reuben is English and worldly. If God didn’t want them to be together why did he bring them together? Could it be that He will make a way for them to have a life together? And what part does Mary’s Calico have in this story? Could the cat be Mary’s Hope ?
I enjoyed reading this warm hearted story. I loved how the community stuck together and helped one another. I thought the book was realistic because there was both good and bad times in the story . Two characters had decisions to make concerning their health and both needed to learn to place their faith and trust in God. I was drawn into the story and it kept my interest till the ending. This is my first time reading a book by Anne Blackburne and it didn’t disappoint. I hope in the future to be reading more of her books.
I recommend this book to readers of Amish Romance and Christian Fiction. This book is scheduled to be released on 6/1/24. It is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.
I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions shared here in this review are entirely my own.

In the beginning it starts off slow but the pace picks up quickly and at times it will become an edge of seat read. The apprehension of knowing Tabitha Yoder’s ex-husband was hiding out nearby, planning to make good on his threats to kill her made my hair on the back of my neck stand straight up. I found myself flipping the pages and not wanting to put the book down. I enjoyed reading the teaser intro page for the next book of the series tucked in at the back of the book. Tabitha Yoder and Seth Zimmerman were the main characters. They both were outcast of the Amish of Crittenden County Kentucky. Outcast though not banned. Circumstances from their past put them both in this standing in their community. Secondary characters were Bethanne Hostetler, Lott Hostetler, and Melonie Zimmerman. The villian in the book is Leon Yoder. Seth was a gentle kind man who helped Tabitha when she most needed it. His character has been carried over from The Rumors in Ross County Series. Tabitha lived in fear that her past would catch up with her again someday.
I recommend Unforgiven to readers of Amish romance and suspense. Fans of Shelley Shepard Gray will love this first book of a new series. This book is scheduled for release on 5/21/24.

The story reminded me of the old saying “When it rains it pours.” This book focuses on two Amish families who went through some very hard times bought on by health issues and physical handicaps caused by family genes. But when things get tough the Amish stick together and help one another. In spite of hard times a new romance becomes part of the story and there are a few matchmakers who want to get the young couple together. The main focus is the Miller and the King family. They are facing some serious and heartbreaking challenges. There are sad times and happy times. This book was definitely a page turner. The ending was beautiful. The main point of the book is that God wanted the characters to “ Rest in Him”. I recommend this book to readers of Amish romance fiction and fans of Author Kelly Irvin. Though this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. Matters of the Heart is scheduled to be released on 7/16/24. I received a complimentary copy of this book. As far as this reader is concerned Dating an Amish Flirt is the best book of the Surprised By Love series. This book captured my heart from the first chapter. I loved the characters and especially the two main ones. Rachel Glick was my favorite character and I felt her pain because of the rejection she received from other students at school. Forgiveness and trusting God was the center point of the story. I thought the book was emotional and unpredictable. It was romantic and realistic. This book touched my heart and I’m glad I read it. Dating an Amish Flirt is Rachel Glick and Josh Yoders story. The two grew up together and were life long friends until after the death of Rachel’s brother. For some reason unbeknownst to Rachel, Josh suddenly grew cold and distant to her. Rachel was a very pretty girl and all the boys in school wanted to court her. This made the other girls at school very jealous of her. They thought she was a flirt who was out to steal their boyfriends. Rachel was the most disliked girl and also was the most misunderstood girl at school. Actually she didn’t like all the attention from the boys . She was lonely, hurt and rejected. She was talked about both in school and at the Amish church meetings. Rachel had a good heart and was a caregiver for her disabled mother. She was used to being hurt and talked about behind her back but the person who hurt her most was Josh. Josh Yoder grew up being the brunt of his older brothers cruel treatment and practical jokes. He was friended by Rachel Glick and her older brother Tim,when he was younger . He loved being with Rachel and Tim more than he did being with his own family. Then something terrible happened in his young life that made him walk away from Rachel’s friendship. He kept a secret from Rachel and it had to do with the way her brother died and why he died. He could never be Rachel’s friend again and she must never know the truth. I recommend this book to readers of Amish Fiction and to fans of Rachel J. Good. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Dating an Amish Flirt is scheduled to be released on 4/23/24. I voluntarily read an advanced reader’s copy of this book.
