Original review for volume 5- This series definitely takes a bit to get into and the art is a bit out there sometimes. But OMG it gets so freaking good! This started out as a 3 star series and has now advanced to a 5 star, I really hope it continues to be 5 stars! If it wasn’t 4am right now I would definitely continue right this second. Unfortunately sleep is a thing. Rude.
Original review for volume 6- The amount of times the characters said ‘oh’ was oh so excessive and oh so annoying. This volume was very slow compared to previous volumes and definitely felt like a ‘calm before the storm’ kinda book, so wasn’t 5 stars like I was hoping, but I definitely think the next volume has 5 star potential!
Original review for volume 8- OMG this volume was so messed up and so good. Made me feel all the emotions in such a short amount of time, disgust, horror, sadness, hopelessness, hope, happy, ugh this was so freaking good! Why oh why has kindle unlimited only got volumes 1-8?!!? I could cry, I wanna continue so badly! Probably a good thing I can’t continue right now since it’s almost 3am, but still! Ugh
Original review for volume 10- WOW! This series was so unbelievablely good!! It consumed my every thought, and all I wanted to do was read it. I haven't felt this way about a series since reading Chainsaw Man. There were so many highs and lows with this series, but I wouldn't change any of it; all the lows are needed to make the highs amazing. Ugh, so good. If you like vampires and horror, I would very highly recommend this series!...more

Definitely questionable and gross regarding some things and relationships. I'd really only recommend this series if you want to read everything Tatsuki Fujimoto has written, like me. But if you haven't read any Tatsuki Fujimoto yet, I definitely recommend the Chainsaw Man series over this one. 'Goodbye Eri' is also really good if you are looking for a standalone manga from him. ...more

I don't understand the hype for this one. Hated the characters. Art was mediocre at best. Hated the writing. Hated the plot until the time skip, even though the plot got good after that, the characters were still not good. A lot of things were stupid and just did not make sense.
I need to like the characters or at least 1 character and for things to make sense to me in order to like a book. This failed that for me.
Also I heard someone compare the humor in this to the humor of One Piece. NO, LMAO. I mean Joe's character was a littttttle funny at the start but eh. Don't compare this to One Piece. Lol...more

For some odd reason it takes me a while to pick up the next volume in this series after I finish one. When I see it sitting there I’m really really not motivated to pick it up and I think it will be boring but literally every single time I give every volume 5 stars. So far I consider this series to be in my top 3 fav comic series, so it’s really odd lol. Once I’m actually reading the volume I absolutely fly through it and can’t stop reading. It’s just going from one to the next that takes a while. Maybe it’s because I don’t really like Western type things and this is exactly that? So when I look at it I’m demotivated? Idk haha....more

I thought I would give it like 3 stars, it's not generally the type of thing I would pick up. I picked it up because I've read from Cullen Bunn before and loved his work and to complete a reading challenge I was having trouble with. Happy to say I will definitely be continuing on with the series as soon as I can get my hands on them from the library....more
