I've never been a huge fan of this author and this sequel (that can be read as a standalone), opposites attract movie star romance just felt way too over the top and didn't have the emotional depth I look for in a good romance. Edie had to constantly figure out how to fit in as the girlfriend of a famous actor and negotiate rumors, lies, misunderstandings and the media constantly harassing her. Not a big fan of the narrator either. Definitely skipable in my opinion. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

She also has an anonymous online friends to lovers romance going with a teen movie star. Geeky chic, this was funny, fun and just a plain good time. Great on audio too! This was a funny modern Jewish Pride & Prejudice retelling filled with messy family drama, lots of laughs, a disaster main character, misunderstandings and a swoony Darcy esque male lead. I enjoyed this but not quite as much as I was hoping to. Perhaps listening as an audiobook impacted a bit of my enjoyment since I didn't love the narrator. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review. Recommended for fans of Bridget Jones' Diary and Jane Austen retellings. Overall a solid debut and I look forward to reading more by this new author!

This final book was opposites attract, small Florida island, forced proximity perfection!!
Full of humor, heart and emotional depth. I absolutely am OBSESSED with Dax and his bad boy ways that really just masks a heart of gold. Anyone who is discounting a whole genre of romance because it doesn't have open door sex scenes are really doing themselves a disservice!
Cindy Steel is a talent like no other who can truly deliver spine-tingling swoons with her amazing kisses and tender words. I gobbled this up and especially enjoyed the audio narration by Marli Watson. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!...more

This story follows secret best-selling romance book author, Capri, who writes under the pen name, Sunny Palmer.
Capri has had a crush on her next door neighbor, Tristan Palmer for YEARS and when they both find themselves back on the island Capri is nervous that Tristan will discover she's loved him all this time. The chemistry between these two was top notch and I loved all of their banter and interactions.
Great on audio narrated by Ellen Quay, this might be my favorite in the series. Technically the third book, it can be read as a standalone with no problem but does feature cameos from some of the other characters in the series. You can't go wrong picking all seven up this summer if you want fun, low angst, swoony, kissing only romance reads.
