Temperance is an ogre born in the Mist and raised up by a gang of witches. She is taken care of by Grissette, her grandma, who feeds her a lot of pumpkin soup and teaches her kung-fu.

But pumpkin is also known of keeping the big and terrafying mist away. They all know that once the mist swallows you, you are as good as dead and lost forever. So when the mist attacks them anyway, Temperance is the only one with the courage to fight it off and save an old witch from their village.

Then Temperance, Grissette, Asma the leader with another witch + a cute human girl called Helen leave together in a long adventure to fight the mist and its enemies once and for all. But less they know this adventure will cost them to be attacked by The Lost Ones and find out terrafying secrets that were best kept hidden. Temperance learns more about herself and bonus points: she will get an adorable unexpected kiss from a character.

I really liked this graphic novel! It was fast-paced, lovely, funny at times and kept me glued. There were a few points that were left out (maybe we'll get to know those in the next installments), hence the 4 stars. But overall it was enjoyable and the illustrations are a combo of gothic and colorful. The story is beautiful and the cliffhanger killed me! I need to know more and I cannot wait for the next one (no info on Goodreads yet, though).

Anyways, I recommend this one if you love: Graphic novels; Witches; Forest setting; Funny and comical characters; A strong female main character; The chosen one trope....more

The book is pretty awesome and action-packed, but I simply cannot pay attention to it and there's that. There are other books for me out there, waiting.

One more book to go and then I need to wait until 2024 for the last installment. I can't believe it will end. I'll definitely re-read the series one day....more
The story is getting intense and I'm loving the progress. Unfortunately I don't own the next book, but maybe I 5 stars and the plot thickens even more!

The Viscount who Loved me by Julia Quinn is the second book in the Bridgertons series and it's Anthony's love story with Kate.
When I read the first book, I really liked Anthony. He was a great and protective brother. But in this book he somehow seemed more annoying. Even so, he was perfectly matched by Kate, who was so badass and I loved her so much!
As in the first book, the first half was so entertaining and fun, and the second one was less enjoyable, right after they got married. But compared to the first book, this one was more enjoyable and fun. And my favourite scene is by far the one where they played Pall Mall.
The ending is, of course, a happy one. A little too much drama, but still, this one had some great side characters and I laughed so much throughout.

The Ancient Magus' Bride volume 1 by Kore Yamazaki is Not my first manga, but it is the first one I read translated in Romanian by Nezumi (by Nemira).
The Ancient Magus' Bride volume 1 by Kore Yamazaki is also the only one I read in the series so far (I still need to buy the rest). I read reviews where people complain this was inappropriate, an underage girl called Chise bought as a slave for a head-skull guy, later telling her that (view spoiler)[he wants her to be his wife (hide spoiler)].
Maybe it seemed like a weird relationship, but I didn't find it that way. I don't understand his motive yet, but I'm really curious about her whereabouts.
The end of the first issue was confusing, so I might have to re-read it before continuing on (which I won't mind at all).
4 stars and looking forward to the next ones....more
