I thought it was really good. I did have the ebook and the audiobook which was really fun. It helps me concentrate if I read along with the narrator and this book had interviews from the survivors. The book is about a theme park, a huge one with pirates in one section, faeries in another, one other. When a hurricane is approaching no one is very concerned because the park was miles away. Not true. The people were bussed out but many people remained in the park, no transportation for them.
They had plenty of food and water but when the power went out, all was dark and of course being Florida all experienced extreme discomfort from the heat.
All should have been ok, but fear and anger from so many people created a very dire situation. Think Lord of the Flies on steroids.
I enjoyed the book a lot and do recommend it to people who like something different from typical horror....more

Good story! Heather never gave up. It starts with Heather and her husband and two step-children going to Australia. Tom, the father, is a doctor and is attending a conference, planning to teach the there. They take a day and go on an adventure, taking a ferry to remote Dutch Island. It is actually off-limit to visitors but they pay money to be able to go. They hope to see koalas on the island. The children hate Heather and treat her with absolutely no respect.
There is no contact on the island with the mainland and have no way of getting help after a shocking accident. Things become very scary, goes from a unsettling situation to a complete nightmare.

They fall in love but due to trust issues and other things, not really knowing what she wants, they end up thinking of divorce. It was a marriage of convenience butt they did love each other, though Nina could not admit as much. Loved it!!...more
