This was my first book from Kaylee Ryan but it won't be my last. I enjoyed these characters and setting and read through it in one sitting. This sweet romance had me smiling and swooning.
I liked Mike and Jamie. I liked the realness of their relationship. I liked how the author handled their differences-city girl and small town boy, the physical distance between them. Again, it made their relationship so much more relatable. There is chemistry between them from the start and I loved following their journey.
The supporting cast of characters were interesting and fun enough to me that I want to go back and read the first two books in this series just to see their stories. I absolutely enjoyed Southern Attraction as a standalone, though, and had no issues following the plot or characters.
I thought the writing was fun and engaging. As I mentioned, once I started reading I didn't stop. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it. I look forward to more from this author.

I'm not a fan of Hollywood books but I'm a fan of Natasha Madison's so when I saw this blurb I thought, ok, I'll give this a try. I'm so glad I did! This story was smart, realistic (in my opinion) and just plain fun to read. This book made me laugh and sigh and I really enjoyed it.
Jessica is one heck of a strong heroine. She's bold and witty and doesn't hold back in her opinions of Hollywood celebs, especially not Tyler. She's not where she thought she'd be career wise so that was an interesting part of her journey for me. I think it's very relatable. She took this job to tide her over after college and just never left. I loved seeing her break out of her comfort zone.
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about Tyler. I liked that the Author didn't sugarcoat his playboy status, and that he embraced it but didn't necessarily flaunt it. I loved how he had deeper roots than I was expecting. I enjoyed getting to know all the different sides of Tyler and I definitely fell for him. He's a great book boyfriend.
These two have such energy between them that it just bounces off the page. I felt like I needed popcorn while reading; just watching the two of them spar back and forth verbally. Then that first kiss? Wow. I loved seeing them open themselves up to one another and letting the other truly see who they were.
This is the start of a new series for this Author so we got to meet some secondary characters who will be featured in their own titles soon. I love how this Author weaves them together without letting them overshadow Tyler and Jessica.
The writing here was strong and witty. The plot moved well and I was invested right from the start. I'm telling you, pop some popcorn and grab a blanket while reading this book. I definitely enjoyed this title and recommend it.

This was my first book from Maria Luis and it won't be my last. I'm a sucker for the story of falling for the best friend's sibling and add in a fake relationship? Well, that sounded like a fun read to me. This story had me laughing in spots and sighing in others. I really enjoyed this title.
Mina was fun and feisty. I can honestly say I've never met a heroine quite like her. She was brave and bold but oh so vulnerable underneath all that. I loved getting to see her vulnerability and enjoyed watching her come into her own. She had her own issues to overcome and I think she did so in a way that stayed true to her character. I really enjoyed meeting her-she's someone I would want to call a friend.
Nick? Well, Nick is a darn good book boyfriend to me. He's hot and sexy. He's smart and kind as well. He's loyal and I thought that was one of his most admirable qualities. I loved the sense of protectiveness he had for Mina, even if he didn't always understand why that was always there under the surface. This is definitely a man I'd fall for in real life; I absolutely fell for him in the book.
I loved the banter between these two right from the start. I thought they just played off each other perfectly. There was history between them and watching them deal with that and navigate their present situation was very gratifying to me. I was hooked and rooting for them from the beginning. They had great connection and I totally believed it. The sex between them was hot and steamy, but watching their relationship develop outside the bedroom was really great to see.
The supporting cast of characters here added to the fun. I don't think they overwhelmed our main characters in the least. There were definitely some moments where I felt like I was watching my big fat greek wedding in book form-and I loved it. There was one character I wanted to shake but I think the way the Author handled it was even better.
The writing was strong and engaging. I was pulled into this story and didn't want to stop reading. I look forward to what this Author will give us next. I recommend this title.

So this is a standalone novella, but if you've read Kendall Ryan's Sexy Stranger then these characters will be familiar to you. I admit, I've been chomping at the bit for this story and overall, I enjoyed it.
I truly liked Duke and Valentina. I felt their connection, and their hesitance to act on it. That felt pretty believable to me. I mean, Duke's twin is married to Valentina's best friend so neither of them wants to chance messing things up, but it was great seeing them finally go for it. They had hot and steamy sex, yes, but they did develop outside of the bedroom as well. Given the length of this novella, that's no easy task!
This novella was a flirty and fast read. I sighed at the end strictly because I wanted more; I wasn't ready to say goodbye to these characters. I enjoyed this novella and would recommend it.

This is a standalone book but it deals with characters that as a Louise Bay fan I've met before. I've wanted Darcy's story since first meeting her and I have to say that it was worth the wait. I enjoyed this book and the perspective it showed.
I really truly liked Darcy. I liked her spirit and spunk. I love how fiercely protective she was of her village and way of life, even as the realization as to why she was so protective made me a bit sad. I just wanted to hug her. She's the type of character I would definitely be friends with.
Logan had me captivated from the first moment he was introduced on the page. I wanted to know more about him, to figure him out like a puzzle. Because he was a bit of a puzzle to me at times but I loved seeing all the pieces of him fall into place. He was a sexy, smart and kind man.
These two have chemistry that just drips off the page, even when they desperately didn't want to. I loved watching their journey from enemies (sort of) to lovers and seeing them figure out different things along the way. They weren't expecting each other at all and sometimes that makes for the best story.
I enjoyed briefly catching up with some past characters from other Louise Bay titles. The supporting characters here didn't overwhelm at all, they enhanced Darcy and Logan. I loved this setting. I loved seeing how this plot unfolded and thought the pacing and writing were spot on. I definitely enjoyed this book and would recommend it.

I'm really enjoying these Man of the Month books from J. Kenner. I love a good second chance romance, so I had high hopes for this story. It was hot, sexy and definitely left me with a smile on my face.
All Night Long gives us the story of Easton, a respected attorney who wants to be a Judge, and Selma, a local distillery owner with a wild streak. There's an attraction there, and you can't help but feel the heat between them. I truly enjoyed watching them together, seeing them figure out what they thought they wanted from each other. They're opposites in some ways, sure, but they balance each other and ignite each other in a way other's couldn't.
Yes, this story takes place outside of the bar for the most part. But that's ok, this book stands on its own while still staying in the Man of the Month series. If you haven't read the other books I do recommend them as well, but they aren't necessary to enjoy All Night Long.
This book was fast, sexy and I did enjoy it. The writing was sharp and the pace was good. It moved a little faster for me than some of the other books in the series but that's ok. I enjoyed this book and recommend it.

I'm not a huge secret baby trope fan, but I do love second chance romance. So I dived in as soon as I could.
I really liked Phoebe. She had a tough start for sure, but once she found her place she flourished. I thought she was strong and smart. I like, and understood, her protective nature and I loved how she stands up for others. She's someone I could respect and like.
Jake was not quite what I expected-but I really liked him! He has a tough past as well, and honestly is just trying to hold it all together and balance everything now. Seeing Phoebe after all this time throws just another thing into his mix....but in a good way. I liked how he overcame his struggles and was his own man.
These two already had a history and I liked them finding their way back to one another. There wasn't the drama that you would expect there, and I liked that. They felt authentic and very realistic to me. They just worked.
There was a bit of drama involving another character, and I didn't feel that was necessary. It was a bit predictable and I just didn't love it. But otherwise, the writing was good and the pacing worked.
Carly Phillips continues to be an author that I truly enjoy. I know when I pick up her books I can escape the real world for a bit and just enjoy the story. Overall, I enjoyed this title and would recommend it.

Kendall Ryan is a one click author for me for several reasons. I know her books are going to be fun, hot and sexy. Misadventures with the Boss was definitely all of those and I truly enjoyed it.
I love the way that Piper and Jackson initially meet one another. It absolutely set the tone for me to see who these characters were and what they wanted, or what they thought they wanted. It was scorching hot and the connection between them was immediate and absolutely worked. There was a sizzle that just seemed right for them.
But of course things don't end there. I had to grin when these two realized they'd be seeing more of each other. Watching them figure out how to handle an office romance-when that isn't what either of them wanted-was a lot of fun. The way the scenario played out in this book seemed plausible. It fit these characters perfectly.
This was a fun, fast read for me. I thought the pacing worked well and I really liked the characters. I liked the plot-office romances aren't hard to come by but well written ones can be-and this is definitely well written. I recommend this book.

Best friend's sister stories are always a favorite of mine. Add in to this that it's set in an work environment and I was all in. I've read Lili Valente before but this was my first book with Sylvia Pierce. It won't be my last! This romcom was hot and fun, while still touching on some serious issues.
I liked Ellie. She's smart and really driven and I can appreciate that. She's willing to do what it takes to get the job done! I love that her strength and determination. I think we all have an Ellie in our lives-or I hope we do-the one that's willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
Jack was mostly fun too. There were a couple things that had me shaking my head with him, but overall I liked him. I enjoyed the fact that he had a crush on Ellie too and seeing him handle that.
There is definitely lots of good banter and a strong connection between these two characters. Honestly, that's part of what draws me in to the friends to lovers trope, as well as the best friend's little sister aspect. These characters know things about each other already and I love seeing how their feelings play out.
I'm always leery when authors collaborate-I never know quite how well the story will mesh. I shouldn't have worried here, as it flowed very well. The plot was fun and unique. I enjoyed this story and look forward to more from these authors. I recommend this title.

I'm a huge fan of Carly Phillips. When I see that she has a new book coming out I know I'll be checking it out and Fearless was no exception to that. Overall I enjoyed this new standalone from this author.
I fell for Kane pretty quickly. He's such a good guy. He has a lot of things that he's juggling and he doesn't want to juggle another woman who is just passing through his town. He's been burned in the past with situations like that so he keeps himself distanced. I understood his struggles and related to them a bit. I absolutely loved him.
I can't lie. Hayley broke my heart a bit. I really, really felt for her. There were moments that I wanted to cringe-because I know events like this happen. I loved her growth throughout this book-it felt right for her. There were some moments I wanted to shake my head...but it worked for her.
There's chemistry between these two for sure but there's a deeper connection. I felt it between these two and I believed it. I rooted for them from the beginning and I think it was because I believed so much in what they had to offer one another.
I read through this book quickly. I always do when it comes to a Carly Phillips book. The story flowed well and I enjoyed it overall. I would recommend this book.

I need to start this by saying I'm not a fan of cliffhangers. At all. But the cliffhanger here worked-and the fact that the next book is out soon? Well that didn't hurt either. This book was a darker read than what I usually gravitate towards but I enjoyed it.
I liked Maddie and Tyler. These aren't people who I could easily relate to but they were characters I came to understand. I liked that they both were flawed, I honestly wanted to root for them to find SOMETHING good in their lives. To realize they were worthy of that goodness.
I love how these characters complement and balance one another. There is chemistry-and the sexy times are sexy, I'm not going to hold back on that-but there's more. There's a deeper connection than I think either of them were prepare for, or that either of them wanted.
I enjoyed the writing style here. Sometimes collaborations can be difficult and it's easy to spot where one author left off and another begins. That is certainly not the case here. The pacing of the book worked well for me as well. I know I mentioned this is a cliffhanger, but the books are coming out rather quickly so I'm ok with that. I want to know what happens next and look forward to the next book in the series. I recommend this title.

This isn't my first read from this author and it won't be my last. I'm a sucker for second chance romances so that alone sparked my interest in the blurb. Once I started reading I was definitely hooked and I enjoyed this story.
I liked Ash and Teo, I really did. I liked them individually and I really liked them together. I was rooting for them from the very start-because again, I'm a sucker for second chances. I wanted them to have that shot to make it work, to grow from their past into what they could have in the present and future. Overall, that happened for me.
The chemistry between these two is unmistakable. It pops off the pages and I was just dying for them to give in to it again. I liked the journey that these two took together and I thought it was believable.
I liked the secondary characters here. I thought they were fun but didn't overwhelm Ash and Teo at all. The secondary characters provided just the right amount of support.
I thought the writing here flowed incredibly well. The only thing is that I wish is that we figured out some things from the past sooner than we did. But that's just a personal thing. I enjoyed this story and look forward to what this author brings us next. I recommend this title.

There were a few things in this blurb that drew me in. Office romance-check. Enemies to lovers-check. Strong female character-check. This book had me laughing and shaking my head throughout. While technically part of a series this book can be enjoyed as a standalone.
In order for an enemies to lovers book to work for me the characters can't cross the line into being hateful to one another. The author definitely didn't cross that line here, even if I wanted to shake Roman more than once.
Roman and Lauren (Harper as he calls her) have chemistry, you can feel it in their every exchange. The banter they have just pops. I love that they were both so smart, so fierce and independent. They challenged each other and eventually brought out the best in one another. Their sexy times were well, sexy. I enjoyed the push/pull of their relationship.
I thought the pacing of this book was solid, better than other books in this series. I liked the secondary characters and the layers they brought to the story. Again, this is a standalone though, so if you haven't read the others you can still enjoy this story.

Rachel Blaufeld is a new to me author. The blurb caught my attention and a friend of mine has raved about this author so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm glad that I did! Heart Stronger pulled at my emotions from the start and never let go.
Claire broke my heart. I sympathized with her very much, even when I wanted her to go out and BE again. She's closed off, but it's logical to her. She's guarding her heart against more heartache-and she's definitely endured her fair share. She comes so far in this book and I really applaud that. This is a character who was written like a real person-she's not perfect. This is definitely someone who I would try to be friends with.
Aiken. Well, Aiken is just a darn good book boyfriend. Sweet, sexy and determined. Now, he has some issues of his own he's working through, but watching him help Claire was immensely satisfying. He's a man who knows what he's after and I liked seeing him get there. I really liked him.
There is chemistry here without a doubt. There's a good amount of push/pull with Claire being so reluctant but it works for them and it just makes it even sexier when they're together. I liked seeing them together and watching them become a team.
The story line of this book had some heavier moments than I anticipated. Some twists I definitely didn't see coming-but they worked. Overall the pacing was good and the writing? Well, the writing was great. I felt pulled into the story from the beginning and that feeling stayed with me throughout the book.
I'll definitely be checking out other books by this author and recommend this book.

On His Knees is the fourth book in the Blasphemy series from Laura Kaye. You don't have to have read the others to enjoy this book-but I have truly enjoyed every book in this series so far. On His Knees was a different look into this lifestyle, and I absolutely loved it. If you aren't a fan of BDSM in books I wouldn't recommend this title for you, but if you like that I think you'll enjoy this book.
I absolutely loved Jamie and Alex. These two men had such a chemistry together that it just popped right off the page at me. These strong men were just missing...something. Something they can only find when they're truly together. The way that came about was just beautiful to me. I loved seeing their relationship progress.
Now, the sex with them? Off the charts. But again, there are definite elements of BDSM here, a different look at this lifestyle than the other books provided, so I give you that word of caution. But it worked for this pairing. Beautifully. The way these characters connected was great.
This story had a few tough moments but they all worked together to craft this story. So while yes, my heart hurt at times it was more than healed in the end. The secondary characters don't overwhelm and I think the reactions of some were so believable that you can't help but relate to them for a minute.
This story was a journey. A well paced, well written journey that I truly enjoyed. You don't have to have read the others in this series to enjoy this title...but I bet you might go back and enjoy them after reading this. I recommend this title.

Enemies to lovers is not my favorite trope. It has to be done in such a way that I think the journey to get from point A to point B is believable, that the characters can overcome their differences in a way that makes sense. After reading the first book in this series, I was excited for the possibility of this book-even knowing it would have some enemies to lovers aspect. I trusted Piper Rayne and they didn't disappoint.
I liked these characters. They're both driven, both have some baggage of their own but they complement each other, once they can get their heads together. They were strong on their own but coming together didn't make either of them weaker, it just enhanced what was already there. I will say actually getting to see Dex fall for Demi had me grinning. The moment it clicked for him was just perfect.
There's chemistry there with Dex and Demi. They both know it. It's just a matter of will they/won't they, WHEN will they that kept me interested throughout the book. When they do come back together it made sense. The sex was definitely hot, but I've come to expect (and enjoy) that from this writing duo.
I loved the setting of this book-especially because we're currently in the Winter Olympics. So this gave me almost a sense of being there now if that makes sense. The writing flowed well and the pacing worked in my opinion. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series and recommend this title.

Paige gave me a hard time at first. But then she transformed into a character I think most people can relate to. She doesn't really feel like she's fitting in, always trying so hard to please everyone else and seemingly falling short. She had good growth throughout the book in my opinion.
Dylan, our hot rock star bad boy? One with issues? Who wouldn't want to fix a man like that. Honestly, from the start I liked Dylan. I appreciated his efforts to clean himself up, to become who he ends up being. It's not an easy feat and I think the author handled it well.
I liked these two together. I liked that they each came with their own baggage and that they helped each other through it. I love that Dylan tried to resist Paige and that Paige eventually won the fight. These two needed each other and the way that came about was great.
I did have some issues with the secondary characters. I really got annoyed with some of them, more than the I want to shake you/slap you annoyed, but truly ticked enough to have to take a second to remind myself they weren't real people. That to me I guess just shows that the writing was strong enough for me to believe that these people were real.
I liked this book. I liked the premise, I like how it played out. It was a different look at the rock star type of book. It was written well and aside from some character annoyances I enjoyed it. I would recommend this title.

I've become a huge fan of books involving royalty. This is a newer fad for me, but after reading a few books about this subject last year I was hooked. The moment I saw this blurb I knew I wanted to read the book. Royalty and a fake engagement? Yes please!
I really enjoyed Kit and Emily. I'm not going to lie, I was a bit surprised at the opening of the book-I'm not complaining-but it worked for these two. They have a connection that just cannot be denied. I liked seeing them figure each other out again.
Again, this is a book about royalty and in my opinion the situations were believable. Do I have firsthand knowledge of the inner workings? Sadly I don't. But to me this seemed like something that could happen. I think the author did a great job of balancing the royal aspect with the not so royal aspect Emily brings to the table.

Reece and Jenna have been friends for years. They know each other inside and out so neither one wants to jeopardize their lifelong friendship even though they both have feelings for each other simmering beneath the surface. Personally, I love this kind of dynamic. Watching a couple who has known each other in one way learn about each other in a romantic sense? Bring on the swoon.
I thought the chemistry between these two was believable. I liked how they came together. There was plenty of steaminess, which I've come to expect (and love) from this author.
