This one is frankly a bit confusing, but no more than any other time-travel story and in a much more stylist manner. A short story giving an insight in the mind of a sociopath...or at least a young man in Ancient Rome who has the makings of one. For all that, an entertaining character, and an interesting if short read. Disappointing not to get to see the play though, which is arguably a version of Hamlet, written by Falco 1600 years or so before Shakespeare got around to it.

An exceptional biography, written by a man who knew and clearly loved the great author. All the usual anecdotes you might expect from childhood and early life, and then the story of the writing of many of the novels which I and so many others love so much. The last couple of chapters, recounting the few years before Sir Terry passed away, far too young, I read through a blur of tears.
Wilkins captures Pratchett's style in a way only a long-term assistant could, and this book is a fitting tribute to one of the greatest ever novelists....more
