Again, this book didn’t fail.
Would you risk everything to save your family, even if you don’t remember them ??
Michael and Charlotte are two very different people, from when they first met and life took them down some very dark paths. Charlotte wanted to settle and start a family while Michael was living a very dark, grimy life of crime in the underworld. Their relationship was put to test many, many times.
The story is told from both POVs, also with Michael’s memory lapse - two versions of his view along with Charlotte’s, giving very different perspectives on how each views their relationship. The dual timelines, depth of the story, the tension throughout whilst all keeping the reader engrossed is really what the author does best!
Each character all had a way of pulling you in, whether you loved or hated them.
Phil, you have done yourself proud again and really can’t wait to see how much your work evolves. Looking forward to Book 4!!

I quite enjoyed this book, though it was a slow burn. I liked Loretta’s character and felt sorry for her that no one really gave her a chance. I didn’t guess the baddie and was surprised to see who it was. The twist at the end was a lovely surprise and made sense, though I wonder if I missed that clue earlier on. All in all a good read and would be happy to read her other material. ...more

After years of false leads and dead ends, Aidan has almost given up hope. But then a woman sees a girl running for her life across a forest clearing in Northern California. She is convinced the girl is the missing Scarlett. But could it really be her?
Heading south, Aidan finds a fire-ravaged town covered in missing-teenager posters. The locals seem afraid, the police won’t answer any questions and it looks like another dead end—until a chance meeting with returned local Lana gives Aidan his first clue. But as they piece together what happened, Lana and Aidan make deadly enemies. Enemies willing to do anything to silence them.
Only one thing matters now: finding Scarlett—even if it kills him.
This was a first read of this authors material and although a good, gripping read, I was expecting more. It was however, very well written and wondering if there could be a sequel…..curious about Scarlett and Shannon!!...more

Harry and Amelia start their idyllic marriage in the same way all newlyweds WOW what a journey this takes you on!!!
How well do you know your husband??
Harry and Amelia start their idyllic marriage in the same way all newlyweds aspire to: unapologetically in love and tremendously excited to begin their lives together. Amelia is besotted with Harry. After years of being alone and almost giving up on love and marriage, Harry steps into her life and gives her the one thing she truly needs above all else: hope.
After their perfect wedding, the couple move to Manchester to set down roots, but life has other plans. When they struggle to conceive a child, Amelia is terrified that Harry might leave her, but Harry does the opposite. He becomes even more supportive and tries to help Amelia with her growing anxiety issues.
When tragedy strikes, and Harry astonishingly loses his life in an accident on a trip back to his hometown of Filey, Amelia is left broken and adrift.
On the recommendation of her sister-in-law, Amelia contacts a mysterious psychic, James, who alerts her that her husband’s death isn’t as accidental as everyone thinks. On James’ advice, Amelia follows a trail of malice, deception and violence in search of the answer to one question
What happened to Harry?
I was so invested and engrossed in this story at times I felt I was at the sidelines watching their every moves. At first I sympathised with Amelia but then I started to see another side to her, but also thought there were at least two other women this storyline could have related to. Full of many twists and turns, very cleverly penned together, with definite shockers.
Couple of TW so check before reading
