This is a collection of short stories, so it's one of the easier Bradbury reads. Good before-bed book since you can stop after one of the stories has ended.
It's dark, sad and a lot of people die in space. You know, you gotta love Bradbury. He has such high hopes for humanity. =) That being said, it's a wonderful book, 5 stars....more

The concepts in this book, to me, are common sense and there are no concrete applications to his ideas. Yes, the poor get poorer while the rich get richer, there's a ground-breaking idea! Yes, most people don't know how to manage their money, we know, so how about telling us how?
The majority of the book is Kiyosaki wanking it, telling us stories about his life (which I don't even think are true).
If you want to learn about personal finance and investment strategies, this is not the book for you....more

It's Tolkien with a little romance novel aspect? Fantasy written by women, what do you expect.
Easy readingI like to read this trilogy every few years.

Easy reading, just long.
UPDATE: I recently received the most awesome comment from a Goodreads user concerning my statement above. I have decided not to post it, for her own benefit/protection.
This user informed me that Tracy Hicks is actually a man. I could really care less about that, what I'm truly pleased to tell you is that soon after she called me sexist, despite the fact that I am a woman. Apparently my comment struck a cord with her and for that I am ecstatic.
There is no greater joy for me than to receive "hate mail" from a person I've never even met or spoken with. I love the Internet; I love that in 2007 people can freely share their thoughts we me, without my permission, no matter how stupid and pointless. What bravery! To share your innermost feelings anonymously. To get all worked up over my little comment when there is true sexism being carried out every day in real life. I wonder if she stops people on the street to express her wacko assumptions? Either way, she's probably a scary punta.
So to you, my dear commenter, I will revise my statement about this trilogy to say that it must have been Margaret that wrote all the puedso-romance novel type parts. Because you know women, they can't write to save their lives. All they care about are emotions and sex. They should go back to their stay-at-home-mom lives and start cooking! ...more

This book is an UPDATE to her 1960's book the Aquatic Ape Theory which is now sorely out-of-date, so if you're going to read it, read the 1990's version called Aquatic Ape Hypothesis.
In a nutshell, it's a book written for the non-academic masses, so don't expect it to be written in a scholarly manner. It's short, you could get through this in a couple of days....more
