But while Ryker is determined to erase his by developing the land he's recently acquired into a master community, Larkin is determined to do everything in her power to stop his plans, because the town still holds wonderful times for her too and she wants to find a way to honor her late son's memory. However, as they face off against each other, each driven to get their way, neither imagined they'd find the love of a lifetime. Is Ryker's determination to finally find closure from the past worth the risk of losing Larkin; or will he find a way to prove his love, so they can have a wonderful future together?
What a beautifully-crafted, emotionally-rousing, fast-paced read Ms. Meredith has delivered in this first book of her new series, encompassing an incredible array of characters that will entertain readers from start to finish, intense dialogue that will tug at your heart-strings and have readers cheering for this couple's happy ever after, and a storyline about finding closure from the past and helping each other heal as well as fighting for a future of love and happiness. The way this story started had me sympathizing with the heroine, as she's only just started to heal from the lose of her son and discovering Ryker's plans for development is a serious blow for her continued healing.
As for the main characters, they were both spellbinding and made this story a total page turner due to their emotional back stories, their growing relationship and the fact that they are on opposing sides when it comes to what they want to happen with the property Ryker has purchased. The heroine is resilient and courageous in her pursuit to get Ryker to see things from her perspective, because losing her son was tough and it's understandable why she wants to honor his memory. I also liked how determined Larkin was to make the hero understand how important the Cape is to not just her, but the townspeople and how he could do a lot of good with it besides what he was planning. Her love for the property shines through her dialogue and she certainly made me smile at times, especially since she wasn't afraid to use her feminine wiles to tempt Ryker or take help from the secondary characters; secondary characters that should have been on the hero's side. Who will win the battle?
While Ryker, he's one of the best heroes I've read recently. He's been through so much in his past, and it's certainly hard not to cry for what he suffered at the hands of someone that should have loved him. Indeed, I could understand why he would want to develop the property, so he can finally find some closure and prove the things his father used to call him were wrong. I also liked how understanding he was to the heroine's need for doing everything to stop his plans, because she lost her son and that's something no parent should ever have to deal with. Still, how could he possibly yield to what the heroine wants when he has his own reasons for needing his plans to come to fruition?
Overall, Ms. Meredith has penned another incredible read in this story where the chemistry was powerful, the romance smoldering and the ending left me exhilarated because no-one was more deserving of love and happiness than Ryker and Larkin who have been through so much in their pasts. The way this story ended had me loving the hero even more than I already did, because of his actions and words to the heroine. She means everything to him just like he means everything to Larkin, and there's no way he won't make certain that they both benefit from what happens to the Cape. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped things up perfectly, because of what the heroine is going through that had me happy for this couple and the wonderful surprise Ryker has for Larkin. I would recommend Love on the Cape by MK Meredith, if you enjoy small town romances, the enemy to lovers trope or books by authors Marina Adair, Catherine Bybee, Victoria James or Melissa West. I would also recommend having a box of tissues within reach, because this story is bound to bring tears to readers.

Finding a man to spend Brooke Worthington is the black sheep of her family in the way she does the complete opposite to what her parents want for her. Finding a man to spend the rest of her life with is the last thing she wants to do until she meets Eli Ward and begins to spend time with him. However, Eli is keeping things from her and when she learns the truth, will she be able to accept his reasoning or will they both lose their chance at happy ever after?
This is the first book I've read by Ms. Kyle, yet the moment I finished this story I knew it wouldn't be my last. Really, right from the beginning, this book was enthralling, fast-paced and was an absolute page turner due to the secrets the hero and heroine both have. It's also a story that drew me in immediately because of the instant and intense chemistry between the main characters from the moment they meet. Will they succumb to their intense chemistry right away? Will the heroine give the hero a chance, even though she doesn't do relationships?
As for the dialogue, it was well-written, compelling and I loved the hero and heroine's back stories and their growing relationship that had me intrigued to discover what would happen once their secrets came to light. Moreover, both the main characters were well-developed and beguiling due to the obstacles they have to overcome including the hero finding out what's going on with his company, what will happen to the apartments where the heroine lives and whether the hero can win the heroine's heart, considering her stance on relationships.
With the main characters, the heroine had it tough when it came to dealing with her parents and their negativity towards her when it came to what she was doing with her life. Seriously, it made me feel sorry for her because parents are supposed to be supportive and love unconditionally and it's palpable they favor Brooke's sister over her. However, I liked that the heroine didn't give up on her dreams and continued to pursue what she wanted to do. While the hero, he's confident, hard-working, and I liked how determined he was to find the person that was hurting his company. Certainly, his tactics for finding the person responsible were a tad devious, especially when it's helping him get closer with the heroine, but it was also necessary because who knew who he could trust within the company he owns with his best friend.
Overall, Ms Kyle has delivered a memorable and delightful read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense, the romance hot and special in the way these two need each other to heal from their pasts; and the ending had me worried for this couple's happy ever after, as secrets have a way of coming out. However, in saying that, I absolutely loved the way things turned out for Eli and Brooke, as the hero was willing to do whatever it takes to win the heroine back after things went awry. Who knew the secondary characters could be such a godsend? Yet, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up splendidly and had me smiling because of the hero's surprise and Brooke's response, which would without a doubt annoy the heroine's mother. I would recommend The Billionaire in her Bed by Regina Kyle, if you enjoy the mysterious strangers trope or books by authors Miranda Liasson, Kate Davies, Lexxie Couper and Alexia Adams.

Investing together should be easy enough, but it appears someone is looking to cause trouble for the pair with the site plagued with mysterious incidents. Yet, with the danger closing in on them and Scott being wary of Heather's privileged background, will he be able to let go of the past to achieve happy ever after with the woman he's falling in love with; or will they lose their chance at happiness because of a grisly discovery that could paint a huge target on both their backs?
Ms. Lemor's writing just keeps getting more and more impressive, and with this third book of her Love on the Line series, she takes the series to another level with an amazing amount of edge-of-your-seat suspense and sizzling romance that left me wanting more of Scott and Heather, as each incident becomes more and more terrifying. Will the hero and heroine give up on their investment or will they fight back against the person determined to keep them away from the rundown mill they're looking to renovate?
The way this story started had me liking the hero's reaction to the heroine, as he's not expecting her to be where he is and he's determined to discover what she's up to. Will Heather admit the truth? Will Scott be able to handle her answer? However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine came face-to-face for the first time in this story that had me completely hooked, as Scott and Heather have quite the interesting history with what they've been through with his cousin and her best friend in the previous book of this series that had them calling a truce, even though Scott is wary of the fact that Heather is a rich girl and he's had more than enough of wealthy people in his life, especially with what happened with his previous girlfriend and what happened to his family that landed him going to live with his aunt and uncle.
As for the dialogue, it was well-written; highly entertaining; and a wonderful combination of intense moments because of all the hero and heroine go through in this book because of the trouble someone is causing for them and teasing banter that had me absolutely charmed by this couple's growing relationship as the heroine does her best to win the hero's trust and the hero does his best to fit into her world and do everything he can to protect her from the person determined to hurt them. Moreover, both the main characters are incredible and I loved how this author proved without a shadow of a doubt that opposites really do attract and that no obstacle can keep them apart.
With Heather, she's resilient, courageous, worked hard to be the independent woman she is and I liked how determined she was to prove once and for all to her parents that she doesn't need their wealth to be successful or happy. I also liked that she was just as protective of Scott as he was of her, which is proven by everything they go through that has Heather willing to be by Scott's side every step of the way including the moment he's accused of something terrible and lands somewhere he shouldn't have ended up. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine was her stubbornness and her absolute determination to win the hero's trust. Will Scott ever be able to fully trust Heather? Will Scott ever be seen as good enough for Heather by the people that matter most to her?
While Scott, he's been through so much in his past with always feeling second best and I could understand why he feels threatened by his cousin when it comes to the family business and what it could mean for him now that his cousin has taken his rightful place in the company. I also liked how strong and brave the hero was in handling everything thrown at him, no matter how difficult the situation he lands in is for him to deal with because of things that happened to him in his past. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero is the hero's determination to protect the heroine and that he did everything he could to make sure she comes out on top against the battle they face with the bad guy. What will Scott do to make sure Heather doesn't become a killer's next victim?
Overall, Ms. Lemor has delivered an utterly captivating and intense read in this book where the secondary characters entertained me just as much as the main ones; the chemistry between this couple was powerful; the romance explodes onto the pages with plenty of sizzle once the heroine stops fighting the fact that their business partners and shouldn't get involved; and the ending was a tad nail-biting because of what the main characters go through. Will they get out of the terrible situation they find themselves in? Will they get the chance to see the bad guy behind bars for what he's done in the past and for all the trouble he's caused the hero and heroine? However, it was the last chapter that wrapped this story up perfectly, as Scott is determined to prove to Heather how much he wants her in his life. I would recommend Fatal Evidence by Kari Lemor, if you enjoy romantic suspense, the opposites attract trope, or books by authors AJ Nuest, Allison B. Hanson, Michelle Hauf and Laura Griffin....more

H No man is more Cat Ashdown's opposite than Jones, the man she's just met and the man that has declared himself her shadow in order to keep her safe. However, when Jones latest assignment brings him in constant contact with Cat, he decides it's better that she's on his side than trying to find information about her uncle's dealings on her own. Yet, the closer they come to discovering the truth, the more danger Jones and Cat find themselves in. Will Jones be able to keep Cat safe, or will he lose the woman he's falling in love with, even if he believes there's no chance of a future between them?
There is something really exciting about the opposites attract trope in a Historical Romance, especially when the hero is a spy and the heroine a lady of the Ton that is determined to discover the truth about what's going on with her uncle with or without the hero's help. Really, this book was highly entertaining, fast-paced and I loved everything the hero and heroine overcame to be together including the hero believing he isn't good enough for the heroine. Will Cat and Jones being together cause a scandal because of his past and the fact that she's a prominent member of the Ton?
The way this story started had me immediately hooked, because of what Jones is doing and whether he'd have to go through with what needs to be done to protect his mentor. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine come face-to-face for the first time that had me reading quickly, determined to discover more about this pair and their back stories; what direction their growing relationship would take and whether the hero would be able to protect the heroine.
With the dialogue, it was well-written, captivating and I loved how intense it was because of what the heroine's uncle puts Cat through and the hero's investigation into whether her uncle is doing anything illegal. What will Jones discover? Moreover, the heroine is strong and brave by doing everything she can to help Jones and I loved the way they communicated, so no one would be able to uncover what they're really talking about. I also liked how determined the heroine was to fight for a future with Jones. Can she prove to him that he means more to her than the worry a scandal could create for her? While the hero, he's had a rough life growing up and I liked how he's turned it around. He's also confident when it comes to his abilities as a spy and determined to always do the right thing. Yet, what I liked most about the hero was his determination to keep the heroine safe and allow her to help him to get the answers she needs to protect herself from her uncle.
Overall, Ms. Alexander has delivered an incredible read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was heady and convincing; and the ending had me loving the efforts the hero goes to protect the heroine and make sure she doesn't suffer for her uncle's wrongs. However, it was the lengths the heroine went to for the hero to realize they're meant to be together that had me loving the way this story ended for this couple and their relationship. Will the hero realize that Cat is his Ms. Right before it's too late? I would recommend The Lady and Mr. Jones by Alyssa Alexander, if you enjoy Historical Romance; the opposites attract trope; stories encompassing espionage and spies; or books by authors Stacy Reid, Christi Caldwell, Vanessa Kelly and Darcy Burke....more

Now though, she's determined to help her sisters lead the Chicago Rebels to the playoffs, even if it means giving extra coaching sessions to Vadim Petrov to whip him back into tip-top shape after his injury and bad season that ended with him being traded to a team in trouble. Will Vadim be able to win both the girl and help his new team get to where they need to be in the standings, or will one wrong move cause Isobel and Vadim to go their separate ways?
Having absolutely loved the first book of this series where Isobel was reunited with her two estranged sisters, I couldn't wait to dive into this book and it was everything I'd hoped for and more. Not only because it encompasses two incredible main characters that have powerful chemistry and are very deserving of their second chance at forever after; but because it had such compelling dialogue that was the perfect combination of intense moments due to the main characters back stories as well as past history and teasing banter that had me loving this couple's growing relationship, as they find their way back to each other despite the rocky start they have when they first come face-to-face.
The way this story started with the prologue sets the fast-pace of this story, as it had me sympathizing with what the heroine goes through and had me wanting to know what sort of effect what happened to Isobel had on her. How bad was her injury? However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine came face-to-face for the first time that made this story very intriguing, as this couple have a past that makes Vadim surly towards Isobel because of all that went wrong between them. Will Isobel be able to make things right with Vadim, so she can work with him without too much awkwardness?
As for the heroine, she's resilient and courageous with everything she's been through and I could understand why she was so stubborn when it came to her career goals and not wanting things to be over when things could be dangerous for her if she ever played professionally again. I also liked how she handled everything thrown at her and that the hero did everything he could to protect her honor. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine is the growing relationship she had with her sisters and that Harper and Violet weren't afraid to say whatever was on their minds to her, especially when it came to her relationship with Vadim.
While the hero, he has abandonment issues because of his mother and I could understand why he's not over it, even though the woman in question is back in his life. Will he ever learn the truth of why she left? Moreover, the hero is a great brother, which is proven by what he did for his sister that brought them together. I also liked his confidence when it came to his abilities as an ice hockey player and when it came to the heroine. How could she possibly say no to him? Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero was how protective he was of the heroine, even if it means protecting her from herself.
Overall, Ms. Meader has delivered an outstanding read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was wonderful; the romance nicely-detailed and sizzling; and the ending had me liking how the secondary characters encouraged the heroine to make things right with Vadim after how things go awry between them. Why does Isobel have to be so stubborn? However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up perfectly, as Isobel might not have fulfilled her dream of winning the elusive gold, but she certainly got the best prize of all -- a second chance with her Mr. Right. I would recommend So Over You by Kate Meader, if you enjoy second chance romances or books by authors Kimberly Kincaid, Kelly Jamieson, Lia Riley and Sawyer Bennett....more

However, she never imagined she'd meet a man that she'd fall in love with. Yet, the more time she spends with Perceval 'Hill' Hillard, the more she finds herself tempted to stay in Sweetwater Springs. Will Hill be able to convince Faith to stay, so they can have a shot at happy ever after or will they lose their chance a at forever love?
This story is Ms. Torres at her best with the way it encompasses fantastic characters, well-written and compelling dialogue and a fast-paced storyline that I loved from start to finish, so much so that I could not put this book down. The way this story started with the prologue had me liking the hero immediately, as he's determined to protect the town of Sweetwater Springs and it shows he's ruthless enough to get what he wants, even though he doesn't come off that way when he's around Faith and her brothers. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine met where this story really took off, as their chemistry is instant and just keeps getting better.
Both the main characters kept me entertained from start to finish due to their back stories and the obstacles this couple face on their journey to happy ever after. Will the heroine be able to walk away from Sweetwater Springs when her brothers have settled in so well and have bonded with Hill? Will she go through with her plans if she can find her Mr. Right? Will Hill be able to convince Faith to stay before it's too late? While the hero, he's confident; a total card shark; and protective of the heroine and her brothers. He's good for her and vice versa and I was so glad he took a chance on winning the heroine's heart, as he needs something more in his life than his nightly gambling.
Overall, Ms. Torres has delivered an absolutely fantastic read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was wonderfully convincing and strong; the romance on the sweet side; and the ending had me loving the hero more than I already did, as there's no way he can let the heroine get away. She means everything to him and I liked that he realized that before it was too late. I would recommend Hold her Close by Reina Torres, if you enjoy Western Romance or books by authors Debra Holland, Caroline Clemmons, Kathleen Bell and Caroline Fyffe....more

Cheerleader Harper Evans is having the worst day of her life when she discovers her team's manager dead and then finds herself arrested for the crime. Luckily, she has someone she can call on to help her out of the mess she finds herself in. However, the more time Harper spends with her ex, the more Harper finds herself doing the one thing she swore she'd never do -- fall for Noah all over again. Will Noah be able to win back the woman he loves, or will they lose their second chance at happy ever after?
The first three books of this series are wonderful reads, but this fourth book of the series is the best by far. Really, the main characters are fantastic; the dialogue was a wonderful mix of intense moments and teasing banter that had me smiling or laughing a lot; and everything the heroine goes through because of the bad guy had me continually wondering if Harper would ever be able to untangle herself from the web of blame pointing to her as the killer. Will Noah be able to discover the truth before Harper finds herself in prison for good? The way this story started opened the story brilliantly, as Harper finds herself in trouble and not knowing how to find a way out, especially with how Noah reacts initially to her needing his help. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine come face-to-face for the first time that had me wondering if the hero would ever be able to make things right with Harper because of what she discovers in that moment that takes her back to the past.
As for the dialogue, it was intense and compelling and I loved every moment between the main characters. They had me laughing at times, especially when it came to a friendly goat that was a tad obsessed with one of the main characters or when they were in places that made it uncomfortable in getting up close and personal together. Moreover, the heroine is resilient, courageous and I liked how determined she was to clear her name since it seems the police aren't doing much to help her. I also liked how Harper handles everything she goes through, especially when it comes to Noah and whether she can give him a second chance. While the hero, he's been through a lot in his life and it's understandable why he reacts the way he does to the heroine when they first come face-to-face. He's also confident, smart, protective of the heroine and I liked how determined he was to help Harper because he knows she's innocent. Will Noah be able to find the proof Harper needs to clear her name?
Overall, Ms. Smith has penned a superb read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was off-the-charts; the romance full of heat and heart, proving that these two still have strong feelings for each other; and the ending wrapped this story up perfectly, as the hero is determined to fight for a future with the heroine. Besides, how could she possibly turn Noah down with the surprises he has in store for her? Brady Littleton is determined to help his brothers expand the family dive shop and that means securing the chance to buy the Christmas shop next door. However, there's just one problem -- Kylie Waters; the only woman Brady has ever loved and the woman he hurt years ago when he broke things off between them. When Brady strikes a bargain with Kylie about which of them achieves the most sales by Christmas Day will get the shop, he never imagined it could lead to a second chance with the one woman he's never been able to forget. Will Kylie be able to accept Brady's terms or will their second chance at forever after be impossible because it means one of them will lose their dream?
What a splendidly-crafted, fast-paced, captivating read Ms. West has delivered in this third book of her Littleton Brothers series where the competition makes things interesting; the main characters were fantastic; and the dialogue had me smiling at various moments throughout this story because Brady is so charming. The way this story started had me loving Brady immediately, as he's such a flirt and his brothers love to tease him. However, I loved that sometimes his charm isn't enough. Then again, it could be that Brady is just picky when it comes to the women he meets.
As for the dialogue, it was well-written and extremely entertaining due to the history between Brady and Kylie and what happened to make them go their separate ways years ago; the intense chemistry they have; and the race to see who will come out on top. Will Brady and his brothers end up getting the building or will Kylie be able to save the Christmas shop? Moreover, the main characters were relatable, likeable and I loved how determined the heroine was to win. Really, she's very smart with the ideas she comes up with to bring more customers into the shop and I liked that she didn't back down when the going got tough.
Overall, Ms. West has delivered a story that I loved from start to finish where the chemistry between this couple is powerful and just kept getting stronger; the romance was nicely-detailed; and the ending had me smiling because Brady is a good guy with what he does to make certain that Kylie will be in his life always. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up wonderfully, as Brady would do anything for Kylie, which is proven by the gift he buys her and the words he gives her that show that they're meant to be and that he'll always be there for her. I would recommend Merrily in Love by Melissa West, if you enjoy second chance romances or books by authors Allison B. Hanson, Jody Holford, Tilly Tennant and Samantha Chase....more

However, when Detective Isabella Moreno learns of a case that has similarities to the murder of someone that was very important to her, Isabella is determined to finally get justice. Will Isabella finally be able to close the case that has haunted her for years, or will the killer she's hunting get away again?
I've read about ten novellas this year, but this is the best by far. Not only because it's a follow-up to Skin Deep, the very entertaining first novel of this series for Ms. Kincaid, but because it has readers re-visiting two of the most incredible characters of Station Seventeen and the other emergency services they work alongside. The way this story started had my sympathizing with the heroine, as she's worried about her relationship with Kellan. Is there something going on with him? However, it was from the moment Isabella learnt about the tie of a recent homicide linked to her cousin's cold case that made this story a total page turner, as Isabella needs closure.
As for the dialogue, it was compelling, flowed really well, intense due to the investigation into the murder, takes readers on a emotional journey from Isabella's point-of-view, and was a story I could not get enough of. So much so that I had this novella finished in under an hour. Moreover, Isabella is resilient; tenacious in her pursuit of the killer; and I liked how far she was willing to go to get closure, even if it meant going against orders. While Kellan, I liked how supportive he was of Isabella and her determination to finally put the past to rest and get justice for her cousin.
Overall, Ms. Kincaid has penned a fantastic and enthralling read in this novella for her Station Seventeen series where the chemistry between this couple is as strong as ever; and the ending had me so happy because of what Kellan does right at the end because he can't wait for Isabella to be totally his; and how everything turned out for the case Isabella and her team were investigating. What a way to get a confession! I would recommend Forever Deep by Kimberly Kincaid, if you're looking for a quick read or books by authors Avery Flynn, Scarlett Cole, Pamela Clare and Lynn Raye Harris. ...more

She's not interested in changing anything, but she would like to find a man and enter a relationship that hopefully will lead to wedded bliss. However, when she begins to spend more and more time with Luke and she finds her resolve of no more meaningless flings start to slip, will she give him a chance or will she let the man she's falling in love with get away?
Ms. Charles is a new-to-me author, and she's an author who I'm looking forward to reading more from. Since this is a story that had an absolutely captivating storyline, two incredible main characters with unbelievable chemistry; and compelling dialogue due to the hero and heroine's back stories and their interactions as they do their best to work together while ignoring their chemistry. The way this story started had me sympathizing with the heroine, as she's the black sheep of her family; the one that her family seem to want to fix because she's not married and doesn't have a career as fancy as her two sisters in law or medicine.
Both the main characters have very interesting back stories, and I loved the moment they met, as the heroine embarrasses herself with her attempt at flirting. Moreover, the heroine is resilient and courageous when it comes to handling her mother's judgment of her life. I could also understand why she was so determined to resist Luke, as he's only in town temporarily because of what's going on in his life at the moment that has sent him into hiding. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine was her kindness and that she would do anything for her friends and family, even though she seemed to be exhausting herself between running her restaurant and what she was doing for her best friend.
While the hero, he's going through a tough time at the moment with what's happening with his restaurant and I liked how determined he was to help the heroine when she needs someone to step in and help her. I also liked how determined the hero was to win the heroine over, even knowing that he wasn't going to be staying in town once everything had been righted in his life. Will everything in his life return to normal? Yet, there were moments where I felt sorry for the hero when it came to a woman from his past that was determined to make him suffer. Will the woman's blackmail efforts work?
Overall, Ms. Charles has delivered a remarkable read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was piquant and alluring; and the ending had me absolutely thrilled by the hero's decision. How could he ever be truly happy without Allison in his life? However, it was the last chapter that wrapped this story up wonderfully, as no couple is more deserving of getting a Christmas miracle. Really, there's no time to waste and why should they wait to get what they want most in their lives -- to be together forever. I would recommend The Christmas Wedding Swap by Allyson Charles, if you enjoy Christmas themed stories, the opposites attract trope, or books by authors Jill Shalvis, Roxanne St. Claire, Cat Johnson and Kimberly Kincaid. ...more
Jade Romo has survived a lot throughout her life, but heading to Africa for a story leads to a dangerous encounter with ruthless poachers. However, no Jade Romo has survived a lot throughout her life, but heading to Africa for a story leads to a dangerous encounter with ruthless poachers. However, not even the price on her head is going to stop her from getting what she wants. But when things get too dangerous, will Game Warden Matthias Hawking be able to keep her safe or will they lose their shot at happy ever after?
What an absolutely mesmerizing, fast-paced, action-packed read Ms. del Mar has delivered in this story that started off brilliantly with the heroine standing up to the hero and not backing down because she's totally against his idea of what he thinks she should do. Is Africa too dangerous a place for her to be at the moment? Will Matthias be able to keep her safe? However, it was from the moment where trouble first arises with the poachers that had me on the edge-of-my-seat and made this story an absolute page turner, as I wanted to know what would happen the next time Jade and Matthias went up against the poachers. How far were the poachers willing to go to make certain that Jade and Matthias didn't interfere in their operation?
As for the dialogue, it was well-written, highly entertaining and I loved every moment the hero and heroine conversed, as Jade gets under Matthias's skin and vice-versa. The heroine is trouble with a capital T for Matthias with her insubordination and need to prove she can take care of herself, which is proven by what she does when she comes up against the poachers. Furthermore, the dialogue was intense due to what the poachers do to one of the animals that had chills running down my spine. How could people be so evil? However, in saying that, the dialogue wasn't all intense. There were certainly some light-hearted moments between the hero and heroine that had me smiling, because Jade is feisty and has serious trust issues that make it hard for her not to stand up for herself. Will Matthias be able to show Jade that she can trust him?
Both the main characters were utterly charismatic and had me hooked due to their interactions; and the heroine's resilience and courage that makes her take risks when it comes to helping against the poachers. Moreover, I liked how the heroine wasn't afraid to speak her mind and do anything to help out a friend, which is proven by what she does for one of the secondary characters. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine is that she gave the hero a chance. While the hero, he's had it tough but I liked how he's overcome his past to become the game warden and a man that isn't afraid to go up against the poachers the way he does. I also liked how he was well-respected by the men he worked alongside and that he would do anything to protect Jade and the animals.
Overall, Ms. del Mar has penned a worthwhile read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was off-the-charts; the romance was delightful and showcased how right these two are for each other; and the ending had me flipping the pages quickly because of what goes down between the main characters and the poachers. Will Jade and Matthias come out on top? However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up perfectly, as Jade has found the happiness she deserves and there's nothing more right than the decision this couple make for their future right at the end. Africa is a magical place for Jade and her work. I would recommend The Guardian by Anna del Mar, if you enjoy romantic suspense; the opposites attract trope; the sexy protector trope; or books by authors Sheryl Nantus, Cate Beauman, Katie Reus and Toni Anderson. ...more

However, the gorgeous woman he interacts with at a bridal event doesn't seem all that interested and instead blows him off until she finds herself in trouble. Still, it's an uphill battle to win the smart-mouthed Stevie over. Will Stevie realize Joe is a good guy despite his womanizing ways before it's too late or will they lose their chance at happy ever after?
What a highly-entertaining, fast-paced, enchanting read Ms. Angell has delivered in this sixth book of her Barefoot William Beach series where the main characters were absolutely captivating; and the dialogue enthralling because of the heroine and her smart mouth and her ability to be able to resist one of Baseball's most irresistible players. The way this story started drew me into this story immediately, because it's palpable that the hero loves women and is looking for someone to share a good time with. However, it was from the moment that the hero and heroine met that had me amused, because Stevie has a smart mouth and acts like she's immune to the hero's charm, so he doesn't get the woman he wants.
As for the dialogue, it was absolutely riveting and had me totally hooked by the heroine's determination to be resist Joe, even though it's palpable she's not going to be able to hold out for long. Furthermore, I loved the main characters back stories, as Joe doesn't believe in happy ever after. He's more into one-night stands or spending limited time with a woman until he's ready to walk away. Yet, the heroine is hard to walk away from right from the beginning when Joe comes to Stevie's rescue. How long will it take Joe to win the heroine over? Will Stevie ever confess about her family situation that might send Joe packing, especially because of the competition he faces from a fellow player? However, what I liked most of all about the hero was his determination to win the heroine over, even though he's not interested in happy ever after.
While the heroine, she's hard-working, loyal, independent and I liked how much a challenge she provided for Joe with her smart mouth and her determination to resist the intense chemistry between them. I also liked how close she was with her family and that they would do anything for each other, which is proven by what she's doing for her aunt and the promise she made to her cousin. Yet, what I liked most of all was that Stevie decided to take a chance on the hero, because she's good for him and vice-versa.
Overall, Ms. Angell has penned an incredible read in this book where the secondary characters were just as entertaining as the main ones; the chemistry between this couple was strong; and the ending had me cheering for this couple's happy ever after, because everything worked out for the best when it came to good news for one of the secondary characters and Joe when it came to their baseball careers. However, it was how things turned out for the hero and heroine that I liked best about the end, because Joe does something very memorable for the heroine. Who doesn't love cupcakes? I would recommend No Time to Explain by Kate Angell, if you enjoy sports romance, the opposites attract trope, or books by authors Jill Shalvis, Tawna Fenske, Samantha Chase and Rachel Gibson. ...more
Gemma Laine never imagined her life would be turned upside down as much as it is when she witnesses a triple murder. But when she becomes the target o Gemma Laine never imagined her life would be turned upside down as much as it is when she witnesses a triple murder. But when she becomes the target of the mob, she has no choice except to trust FBI agent Kyros Pappandreos to keep her safe. The question is -- will Kyros be able to protect her, so they can have their chance at happy ever after; or will the pair be forever on the run in order to stay ahead of the person determined to kill Gemma?
This is the first book I've read by Ms. Jaeger, and what a book it was since it had everything I love in a romantic suspense. Really, there was edge-of-your-seat suspense, a good dose of romance, a fast-paced storyline and compelling dialogue that had my eyes glued to the pages, determined to discover what would happen every time Kyros and Gemma found themselves in trouble. How did the bad guys know where they constantly were? Will Kyros discover where the leak in information is coming from before it's too late? The way this story started drew me in immediately, because the hero has such a commanding presence as an FBI agent that just made me want to learn more about him.
As for the dialogue, it was wonderfully-crafted and completely compelling due to the main characters back stories and everything they go through on their journey to happy ever after including someone determined to take Kyros down as well as seeing that Gemma doesn't make things difficult for the notorious mob boss after her. Furthermore, the main characters were incredible and I loved every moment they conversed, as the heroine has serious trust issues that make her argue and question Kyros every chance she gets because it's not fair that she needs to stay hidden due to what she witnessed. At times, the heroine had me wanting to laugh at how difficult she can be, but at least she provides a challenge for the hero. While the hero, he's confident, a good agent and will do anything to protect the heroine, which is proven by all that he does for her. I also liked that he was willing to help her get her life back, even though things could get very dangerous.
Overall, Ms. Jaeger has delivered a remarkable read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was powerful; the romance wonderful and shows how special Kyros thinks Gemma is; the secondary characters had me totally hooked, especially Rick because of the way he banters with the heroine and teases her with the nickname he has for her; and the ending had me absolutely delighted by the hero's determination to win the heroine's heart because there's no way he can let her get away. Then again, how could Gemma possibly resist Kyros? However, it was the final chapter that wrapped this story up perfectly, because of this couple's conversation when it comes to their families, their future and how good the heroine is at her career. Will Kyros be impressed by her skills behind her camera? I would recommend A Shot at Love by Peggy Jaegar, if you enjoy Romantic Suspense, the opposites attract trope, or books by authors Kari Lemor, Sharon Sala, Brenda Novak and Katie Ruggle. Furthermore, this is a story I highly recommend! ...more

Determined to do whatever it takes to make people see she's so much more, she decides to try and enjoy life, live a little and hopefully find another man to help take her mind off the gorgeous Sheriff. However, when her pursuit for another man leads to trouble in the way of him sending her heart emojis and giant bouquets of flowers, there's only one man to turn to -- Nate Evans. Will Nate finally realize that Bella is the woman for him, or will their relationship crash and burn before it ever really gets started?
There are just some authors that know how to brighten this reader's day when she's feeling down and Ms. Hegger is one of those wonderful authors, especially with heroes like the Evans brothers that are a total triple D threat -- delectable, delightful and dexterous; heroines that are determined to go after what they want like Bella does in this book, even though things go a combination of right and wrong for her; and secondary characters that made me laugh, especially Bella's next door neighbor with her flirting and determination to land her Mr. Right. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine came face-to-face for the first time that had me laughing at Bella's predicament. How does she manage to get herself into trouble the way she did?
The dialogue was well-written and a wonderful combination of intense moments and teasing banter that had me adoring the main characters, as Nate is a man determined not to get involved with a sweet woman like Bella, and yet, she's impossible to resist, not only because of what's happening to her, but because it's palpable there's something about her that he can't get enough of. However, in saying that, the trouble Bella faces from someone determined to win her heart had shivers running down my spine at various moments throughout this story, as the man that wanted Bella was an obsessive jerk that kept getting more and more bold in his pursuit. Will Nate be able to protect her?
As for the main characters, both were absolutely enthralling. Bella is determined to prove she's not pining after Nate, even though she's had a crush on him for years and I liked how proactive she was in her pursuit to get over him, even though things don't go according to plan for her. I also liked how resilient and courageous she was in standing up to her grandmother; a woman that didn't know how to let go of something important to her, even though Bella had every right to do what she was planning. While Nate, he is such a fantastic hero that I couldn't get enough of, as he would do anything for family, even if it means dealing with a mother that thinks the world revolves around her. I also liked how much the hero has turned his life around from the juvenile delinquent he once was, how far he's come in being a police officer and how protective he was of the heroine. Then again, Bella needs all the protection she can't get and I could understand why the secondary characters were so determined to help her.
Overall, Ms. Hegger has penned another must read book for this series where this couple's chemistry was wonderful and had me flipping the pages determined to discover how things will work out for this pair; where the romance was wonderfully-crafted and illustrated how good and right Nate and Bella are together; the secondary characters were just as entertaining as the main ones, because of their sound advice and determination to see Nate and Bella happy; and the ending had me on the edge-of-my-seat due to what happens to one of the main characters, but left me completely satisfied with how Nate made things right with Bella since there's no way he can let her get away. She means everything to him. I would recommend Becoming Bella by Sarah Hegger, if you enjoy the opposites attract trope, the friends to lovers trope, small town romances; or books by authors Ruthie Knox, Jill Shalvis, Kelly Moran and Samantha Chase....more

Needing help, he turns to Juliet Morgan; a woman that knows how to coax the dog into doing anything she asks. However, it's not long before she goes from helping Ryder with the dog to him helping her out of her clothes and into his bed. But with Juliet's heart set on visiting Italy in two months time for an extended period of time, will he be able to convince Juliet that they deserve a shot at happy ever after, or are her plans too set in stone for her to give Ryder anything more than sex?
I have loved every single book of this series, but for me this story is the best by far, as Ryder and Juliet are wonderful characters with such fierce chemistry that I could not put this book down for even a second. The way this story started had me wanting to laugh at Ryder because of his reaction to the coach's daughter and whether she'll get her way. Will Ryder give in to what she wants him to do? However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine met that had me instantly liking these two together.
As for the dialogue, it was well-written, compelling and had me laughing at times due to the Star Wars references. However, it was the main characters back stories and their growing relationship that I really enjoyed and had me reading quickly, wanting to know more about the heroine and why she has her heart set on going to Italy. Furthermore, Juliet was strong and brave for getting through what happened with her mom and I liked her determination to follow through on her plans, even though it's palpable she was falling for Ryder and knew it wasn't going to be easy to leave him. I also liked how the heroine knew what she wanted and went after it, especially since the last man she was with used her. While Ryder, he's confident and I liked how he chased his dream of playing Rugby, even though it's palpable he loves his family and country life. I also liked how determined he was to win the heroine over, because not only does he need her to help him with the dog, but he needs her in his life, as she's different to any woman he's ever been with. For one thing, she's not a fan of sports.
Overall, Ms. Andrews has penned a wonderful and captivating read in this book where the secondary characters bring a little extra something special to this story; the chemistry was powerful between this couple; the romance hot and illustrated just how right these two are for each other; and the ending had me loving how the heroine realized she was completely in love with Ryder. Furthermore, I also liked what the heroine did to win the hero back, as her creative side definitely shines. I would recommend Playing with Forever by Amy Andrews, if you enjoy sports romances or books by authors Sinclair Jayne, Samanthe Beck, Tessa Bailey and Nina Croft. ...more

Meeting a man wasn't in Mia's plan, but how can Mia say no to spending time with Adam Miller, especially when he's so good with Ben. Will Adam be able to win Mia's heart, or will they lose their chance at happy ever after?
Ms. Moon has such wonderful talent for writing fascinating and mesmeric characters that draw me -- as a reader -- in from the beginning; and riveting dialogue that had me wondering whether the hero would win the heroine over, as he certainly bungles his chances along the way. The way this story started had me really enjoying the relationship between the heroine and her nephew, as she would do anything to protect him and help him have a good life. Will she be able to make him understand where she's coming from when it comes to what they're talking about? However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine come face-to-face for the first time that had me amused due to Adam's reaction to Mia. Certainly, she's not the stereotypical librarian with glasses and her hair in a bun.
As for the dialogue, it kept me entertained from start to finish because of the main characters back stories, their growing relationship and the obstacles they face on their journey to happy ever after. Will Adam be able to make things right when he manages to stuff things up with Mia? Moreover, the heroine is strong and brave and I liked how she finally stood up to her mother when it came to the woman's criticisms. I also liked how she challenged the hero when it seemed he wasn't doing everything in his power to show her how much she means to him, which is proven when he does something that leaves her upset with him. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine was her relationship with her nephew and how far she's willing to go to make sure she doesn't lose him.
While the hero, he's done well for himself when it comes to his career, considering what he went through in his past. I also liked the growing bond between the hero and the heroine's nephew, especially because he's there for the young boy in a time of need. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero was his willingness to fight for his relationship with Mia and that he didn't give up when times got tough. Times such as the hero's ex and her nastiness towards Mia and when Mia has to fight for her rights when it comes to Ben.
Overall, Ms. Moon has penned an enthralling and delightful read in this book where this couple's chemistry was wonderful, the romance nicely-detailed and did justice to this couple's incredible chemistry; and the ending had me liking what the heroine did to her late sister's jerk of an ex and her determination to win back Adam, because she knew he was right when it came to what she needed to do to ensure Ben stayed with her forever. I would recommend Then Came You by Jeannie Moon, if you enjoy the opposites attract trope or books by authors Jill Shalvis, Melissa Storm, Erin Nicholas and Roxanne St. Claire....more

However, as her past comes back to haunt her, will she and Detective Theo Mazur be able to stop the killer, or will a killer finally beat her?
What a gripping, fast-paced, enthralling read Ms. Burton has delivered in this book where the start of this story had me hooked because of what's going on and had me wondering whether the killer would be caught because he seemed smart and meticulous. However, it was from the moment the hero was introduced into this story where things got really exciting and drew me in completely, because he's a good cop that has been through a lot and it's palpable he's going to go through more once FBI agent Kate Hayden becomes involved, as she's the best of the best and doesn't give up until she's caught whoever she's after, which is proven by her determination to help a teenage girl who has been through so much because of her abductor.
As for the dialogue, it was really intense due to the investigation and the hunt for the killer; the main characters back stories, especially that of the heroine; and the ending that had me on the edge-of-my-seat, as Kate does everything she can to beat the bad guys, even if it means sacrificing herself. Moreover, sometimes Kate comes off as a ball-busting and cold woman, but she's not. Really, she only acts that way to distance herself a little from the tragedies that come when people kill like the guy she's hunting. Kate is also resilient, courageous and I liked how determined she was to face her past, even if it means talking about the pain her father's death caused; the guilt she's lived with since that moment; and the rift it caused between her and he brother. Will she ever be able to forgive her brother completely?
While the hero, he's been through a lot in his life and it's made him the great father he is to his daughter; a dad that would do anything for his little girl. I also like how confident the hero was when it came to believing that they'd bring down the bad guy and his determination to protect the heroine, even though she excels at her job and doesn't need protecting. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero was his determination to win the heroine over because she's good for him.
Overall, Ms. Burton has penned a worthwhile read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was off-the-charts; the romance had me hopeful that this couple would get their happy ever after, considering what happens at the end that left me concerned for the heroine when it came to the bad guys because of her past. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up wonderfully, because of the decision Kate made when it came to her job and the decision the hero made when it came to his. I would recommend The Last Move by Mary Burton, if you enjoy romantic suspense or books by authors Kendra Elliott, Melinda Leigh, Toni Anderson and Debra Webb. ...more

Choosing the right man to give her a simple donation should be easy enough since she has her heart set on Grant Wilbanks; the man that broke her heart a year ago and the man that has come back into her life. Asking Grant is simple, but when Liz begins to fall for the gorgeous man all over again, will she win his heart this time around or will he destroy any chance they have at happy ever after?
If you've never read a book by Ms. Liasson before, then you're definitely missing out on some superb reading, as her books have captivating characters that hook this reader right from the beginning; storylines that are fast-paced and keep me entertained from start to finish; and compelling dialogue that brings an array of emotions that without a doubt leave me smiling by the end due to the main characters getting their happy ever after. The way this story started had me liking the heroine immediately, as she's desperate for a baby and isn't afraid to ask for what she wants, even if it is to the wrong person at first. Will Liz get what she wants? However, it was the moment that the hero and heroine came face-to-face for the first time since the hero broke Liz's heart that I absolutely loved, as Grant is determined to do whatever it takes to get Liz to listen to him. Will he get through to her? Will Liz give him a chance?
As for the dialogue, it was spellbinding and I was charmed by the hero and heroine's banter, not only because they have incredible chemistry that had me determined to discover what obstacles this couple would face on their journey to happy ever after, but because their back stories and their past history had me wanting to know how long it would take for the heroine to be able to forgive the hero due to what he did a year ago that left her heartbroken. Moreover, the heroine is hard-working, courageous and I could sympathize with her when it came to her not wanting to give happy ever after another chance after what her ex-husband did to her that's made her the resilient and independent woman she is. I also liked the close bond she has with her family, even though it wasn't easy for her to let them into her life with everything she's going through. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine was her determination to be a mother and that she wasn't afraid to go after what she wanted. Will she fall pregnant considering the medical condition she has?
While the hero, he's had it tough in life with his parents being more interested in their careers than their son. Yet, I could understand why he took the path in life that he did. Being a reporter was important to him and I liked how driven he was to succeed, which is proven by how much he's accomplished. I also liked how determined he was to win Liz over, as he knows he did wrong by her in the past. Yet, what I liked most of all about the hero is that he didn't allow his past to continue to hold him back from finding happiness with the heroine.

However, there's something about Bryan that has Hennessy wanting to get to know him better than continue to consider him the enemy. But when Hennessy learns something about his past, will she hear him out when it comes to the truth or will she make the biggest mistake she's ever made in her life and lose her chance at happy ever after?
This is one of the best enemy to lovers trope encompassing romances I've read in a while, and it's a story that was absolutely memorable due to the fantastic main characters that underestimate each other; secondary characters that made me laugh or smile, especially Hennessy's nephew with his new favorite word for Bryan; and dialogue that was a wonderful combination of intense, emotional and witty moments that kept me entertained from start to finish. The way this story started had me hooked and I was totally charmed by the O'Halloran sisters, as they will do anything to keep their family's legacy going. However, it was from the moment Hennessy and Bryan meet that this story gets very interesting, as Bryan's charm doesn't work on the heroine and instead he underestimates her.
Both the main characters were beguiling, not only because they had very interesting back stories, but because I loved every moment they conversed. Since at the beginning, Bryan starts off as enemy number one, not just for the heroine but her sisters as well. However, I enjoyed how Bryan won Hennessy and the rest of the townspeople over. He's confident, charming and determined to get what he wanted, even if he did have to offer the heroine a bet that was too hard for her to resist. I also loved the Truittisms and the friendship the hero shared with his assistant, as she's helped him a lot to deal with his past and I liked how she pushed him to fight for his future by facing his past and doing everything he can to win Hennessy's heart.
While the heroine, she's resilient, brave and I liked her determination to succeed in keeping her family's pub open. Then again, with her track record as a lawyer, she definitely has what it takes to win, and the way she stands up to Bryan at the start shows she certainly has the skills to go head-to-head with him. I also enjoyed how confident the heroine was and that she was willing to accept advice when it was palpable she desperately needed it, especially when things go awry between her and Bryan. Yet, what I liked most of all about the heroine is the way she is with her sisters and that she would do anything for them.
Overall, Ms. Rico has delivered a remarkable and sweet romance in this book where the chemistry between the hero and heroine was off the charts; the secondary characters were just as entertaining as Bryan and Hennessy, especially the heroine's nephew who stole my heart; and the ending took me totally by surprise with what happened with the family pub and by the way things went awry between this couple. Why did Hennessy have to react so badly when she'd only heard a secondhand version of what happened to the hero in the past? However, in saying that, I liked how Bryan made things right with Hennessy, because she's the one for him and there's no way he's going to let her get away. I would recommend Blame it on the Bet by L.E Rico, if you enjoy sweet romances; the mistaken identity trope; the enemy to lovers trope; or books by authors Sean D. Young, Victoria James, Sonya Weiss and Rachel Harris....more
Work consumes Arden St. Sebastian's life, but being in Maui gives her the opportunity to de-stress, especially when she meets Nick Bancroft. However, Work consumes Arden St. Sebastian's life, but being in Maui gives her the opportunity to de-stress, especially when she meets Nick Bancroft. However, when she tricks Nick because orgasms don't come easy for her, no matter how good the guy may be, he offers her a deal -- spend six days with him and he'll give her all the orgasms she wants with her having no need to fake them. Yet, when the time comes for the pair to go their separate ways, will Nick be able to win Arden's heart, or will Arden run scared because she's been keeping her identity a secret?
This is the first book I've read by Ms. Beck, and it's a story that I absolutely loved due to the enchanting main characters that feel the need to keep their identities a secret; wonderful dialogue that made this story an absolute page turner because Nick knows how to show Arden a good time both in and out of the bedroom; and the ending that had me completely charmed by the hero's realization of what he wants. The way this story started had me liking the heroine immediately, as she's stressed and knows she needs to find a way to relieve her tenseness. Then again, with an interfering father like hers, who could blame her? Does he not have anything better to do than control every aspect of his daughter's life, even if she doesn't have the best judgment in men?
As for the dialogue, it was riveting and kept me entertained from start to finish due to the main characters back stories and the obstacles these two face on their journey to happy ever after. Neither are looking for forever love because Arden has been hurt in the past and doesn't need to go through that again and the hero lost someone special to him that has left him unwilling to take a chance on love again. Will Arden be able to convince Nick that love is worth taking a risk? Moreover, the heroine is hard-working, tenacious and I liked how she was willing to give Nick a chance to prove he has what it takes to give her what he says he will. I also liked the decision the heroine made when it came to her parents, as she couldn't continue be in the middle of their rocky relationship. While the hero, he's confident, hard-working and I liked how determined he was to win the heroine over. He's fun, loves dirty talk and definitely delivers what the heroine needs and shows her that there's no need for her to fake orgasms.
Overall, Ms. Beck has penned a fun and scorching read in this book where the chemistry and romance between this couple was intense and explosive; the secondary characters in Arden's family, especially her dad, had me smiling because of his need to meddle in her life; and the ending left me completely satisfied because Nick isn't about to let Arden get away, not when he realizes how huge his feelings are for her. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up wonderfully, because of the surprise Nick has for Arden after what she manages to get at Chelsea and her brother's special event. I would recommend Compromised by Paradise if you enjoy island romances, holiday romances, the opposites attract trope or books by authors Cathryn Fox, Rebecca Brooks, Lauren Blakely and Joya Ryan. ...more
