Vander is a wolf shifter who learns that a change of plans doesn’t mean the end of the world and Pell is a workaholic bear shifter dealing with family issues who learns that life is more than just work.
First of all, I truly like that in this universe that Ashe Moon had created, the Omegas have professions, give voice to their desires and they aren’t the low of the low of the shifters society as the Omegas are portrayed in several other stories. Yeah, they submit to the alphas in certain ways, mostly sexual, but they’re not slaves or objects.
In this universe, the wolf-shifters are wealthier than the bears-shifters and there are some prejudices from one society to the other. So I would have like a little bit of more drama with their parents, especially Vander’s mother, when they find out about their relationship.

Disfruté el humor negro de Patrick pero Will es demasiado vulnerable para mi gusto. Y bueno, slow burn porque después de la noche de bodas (que sucede antes del inicio del libro), no hay más que un beso en toda la historia. I have a bittersweet feeling with this story, and maybe everything is because I started the reading with high expectations for a story that didn't hooI have a bittersweet feeling with this story, and maybe everything is because I started the reading with high expectations for a story that didn't hook me that much. I struggled at the beginning and felt the relationship even forced, and the story didn't flow in right way for me. From the middle of the book towards the end things changed.
I liked the handling of Troy's PSTD, with a character who goes through all stages, from denial to seeking help. And yet, I ended the book without being able to relate to Dmitri. To me, he simply is an insufferable spoiled brat.
I loved Vincent as a secondary character but Angel, a woman of character, determined, Dmitri's unconditional friend was too much for me. I wanted to love her, honestly. A friend makes me the joke of sex-texting behind my back with the guy I like, and I probably never, ever talk to her again. Although she excuses herself by saying that she was drunk. (hide spoiler)]

**** Tengo una relación agri-dulce con esta historia y quizás todo el punto es que comencé a leerlo con grandes expectativas por una historia que simplemente no me enganchó. Tuve dificultades en el inicio porque sentí la relación incluso forzada, no fluyó bien para mí. De la mitad del libro hacia el final las cosas cambiaron en mi percepción.
El manejo del problema de estrés post traumático de Troy me pareció muy bueno, con un personaje que pasa por todas las etapas, desde la negación del problema, tocar fondo hasta la buscar ayuda. Y sin embargo, llegué al final del libro sin poder relacionarme con Dmitri, me pareció simplemente un niñato mimado insufrible.
Me encantó Vincent como personaje secundario pero Angel, una mujer de carácter, decidida, amiga incondicional de Dmitri se me hizo demasiado. (view spoiler)[Una cosa es apoyar-impulsar a un amigo y otra es meterse en la vida y gastarle bromas que se pasan pesadas. A mí una amiga me hace la broma de quitarme el celular y enviarse mensajes de texto sexuales con el chico que me gusta, y le retiro el habla de por vida.
