No creía que este fuera a superar al primero pero bien que lo hizo. Es un misterio diferente, mucho más veloz y rápido que el anterior, pero hay un elemento en particular que pone esta secuela sobre AGGGTM y eso es la oscuridad que trae dentro.
El descenso de Pip al quiebre es fascinante . Lo he dicho muchas veces, pero ella me recuerda harto a Spencer Hastings de PLL, y este libro solo lo confirma. La manera en la que va perdiendo la cordura, donde su mente le gana y va cayendo poco a poco en la locura es INCREIBLE. Ese tipo de personajes me encantan, y Holly Jackson ha creado una protagonista que me tiene encantado con cada página que leo de ella.
El misterio es igual de bueno, y la resolución me dejo estupefacto. No tanto por el reveal sino por lo que este conllevó, y las consecuencias de lo ocurrido. De verdad no es quee este comparando, pero es mega tercera temporada de Pretty Little Liars Radley the house down boots. AMO AMO Y AMO.

A pesar de que el mundo me confundia a veces, no era una confusión que me molestaba. Es muy enigmate el universo de Caraval y como funciona este. It kept me on my toes por eso mismo. Me gusto pensar una cosa y luego darme cuenta que era una completamente diferente. Además, I'm a sucker for anything Wonderland adjacent, y este libro tiene hartas vibes de Alicia en el país de las maravillas.
Scarlett fue medio meh como prota. Me tenia HARTO por que se pasaba de mensa a veces, pero poco a poco le fui agarrando cariño. Hay mucho potencial en los otros personajes.
El romance was ass I'm so sorry. Si el instalove no tiene haters es porque ya no estoy en este plano existencial. Lo peor es que Julian me encanta, pero la manera en la que Scarlett empieza a atener sentimientos de mujer de manera casi inmediata hace que el resto me parezca no solo irreal, sino hasta aburrido. Hay que regresar a los valores tradicionales, al slowburn!!!!

Hay algo en la literatura coreana que me encanta, simplemente. Las historias tocan las fibras más sensibles de mi corazón. No se si se deba a que a través de las páginas puedes leer tangiblemente el contexto de porque los autores hicieron la historia, que se siente mucho más presente que en otras historias. Me pasó con Love in the Big City y ahora con Paint.
Podría hondar en esta historia por horas. Quisiera que fuera un libro eterno, con miles de capítulos para nunca parar de leerlo, pero también entiendo la belleza en sus apenas 200 páginas. Paint es una historia que no pinta (ja, see what i did there?) muy profunda con solo ver su portada, pero una vez empezado te das cuenta de lo que quiere decir en verdad.
Ame ame amé todo. Los símbolos, las discusiones, la crítica y la reflexión. Siento que conocí demasiado bien a Janu301 en las 200 páginas. Oki me dejó enamorado y Noa con ganas de seguir leyendolo por el simple hecho de querer que todo saliera bien.

Será que la dark academia se vuelva mi nuevo tema favorito de leer? El Arte de Ahogarse hace un gran trabajo en impulsarme más hacia ese camino.
Es un mundo fantástico pero al mismo tiempo muy similar al nuestro, más que nada una historia alternativa, donde lo de más renombre son las humanidades y las artes. Me encantó el aspecto dark-academico que tiene la historia: las pláticas de "la muerte del autor", el secretismo y misterio que hay detrás de una figura tan renombrada y la magia que parece escurrirse tangiblemente de las paginas de los libros. Es una ambientación que me he dado cuenta he estado disfrutando mucho (se me asemeja un poco a rivales divinos)
El misterio me mantuvo intrigado, queriendo saber cual era la verdad. La autora toma algunas decisiones interesantes para mantener este interés, y creo que al final, al menos yo, quedé satisfecho con como se fue revelando todo. Hacía muy buen match con lo que ya sabíamos del mundo, de la historia y de los personajes incluso. Fue una gran conclusión a la trama.
Lo que si es que noté muchas cosas a lo largo de la historia que se sentían más como que la autora estaba marcando cosas de una lista de clichés populares que quería incluir. Eso es algo que me ha estado pasando bastante últimamente: se nota mucho que hay ciertos elementos que se agregan for the sake of pleasing the tiktok masses. Llega un punto donde pierde cierta genuinidad.
Igualmente, aunque me haya gustado mucho la dinámica de los protagonistas, específicamente al punto que llegaron al final, como personajes individuales no me terminaron de encantar. No conecté con Effy nunca porque se le dio una narrativa un tanto robótica- solo repetición de las mismas acciones sin más. Tomarse sus pastillas, tragarse las lágrimas, decir que va a llorar, pensar en Preston. Faltó más dinamismo en su personaje para mi, y me pesa porque tiene mucho potencial. Y pues Preston la verdad es que es el interés amoroso y ya.
Gran historia con una que otra falla, pero que al final funciona muy bien. De hecho, estoy bastante interesado en leer otros trabajos de Ava Reid. Creo que tiene muy buenas historias que contar....more

I love me un buen thriller a la pretty little liars. Me encantan esas vibes y ese tipo de historias, y AGGGTM fue literalmente pll en esteroides.
Pip es una gran protagonista. Tiene mucho pov, mucho más que otros personajes que he leido dentro de este mismo genero. Hay algo en ella que te cautiva, desde su manera de actuar como en su manera de pensar (esto se ve más claro cuando lees las partes del proyecto que ella misma escribe). Además, siento también que tiene muchas características de Spencer Hastings ja, y eso es un plus en mi libro.
El misterio es BUENERRIMO, porque no solamente es otra chica desaparecida. Creo quee leyendo este tipo de historias es cuando más me doy cuenta que yo jamás podría escribir una así. Requiere demasiada planeación, que todos los puntos se unan correctamente y no queden cabos sueltos, y este para ser el debut de Holly Jackson me parece excepcional. Me gustó demasiado ir descubriendo capa por capa, entender como todo está conectado, y las revelaciones fueron completamente satisfactorias.

Al inicio, comencé esta segunda parte sintiendola un poco innecesaria. Mis días en la librería Morisaki había cumplido su objetivo y estaba muy satisfecho con como había hecho llegar su mensaje. Pero mientras leía de este, más encontraba ese inconfundible corazón que Satoshi Yagisawa dejó en la historia.
Esta secuela es sobre la familia, los lazos que formamos, el arrepentimiento y, más que nada, el perdón. Es una exploración bellísima de la naturaleza humana y de las acciones que cometemos, sean para bien o para mal. De verdad es todo un deleite leer a estos personajes interactuar y ver lo que representan para la historia.

Rhett y Summer me enamoraron como pareja! Tienen química HARTA y disfruté mucho leer como, poco a poco, fueron cayendo el uno por el otro. Eso sí, hubieron ciertas partes de la relación que no me encantaron del todo. Como en cualquier libro de romance hay (view spoiler)[ un third act breakup (hide spoiler)] y las razones de este no me gustaron nada, especialmente por las acciones de un personaje, pero fuera de eso es una historia que disfruté en su totalidad.

Siempre he sido muy fan del trabajo de Cassandra cuando de antologías se refiere y esta no fue la excepción! Me encantaron varias y disfruté mucho esta "expansión" de perspectiva sobre varios sucesos que vimos principalmente en TDA.

THIS WAS SO FUCKING GOOD!!!! Hablando de profundidad, JAMÁS creí que fueramos a conocer tanto el psique de un personaje como Celine, incluso Rosemary. Cassandra aportó tanto en esta historia corta porque nos permite entender mejor la situación de un personaje debido a la familia de la que viene. Igual, leer otra vez al círculo de Valentine me llenó de nostalgia y me encanta seguir explorando todas estas facetas.
