*Happy sigh* I’m still smiling thinking about these two characters and their sweet story. Everly and Austin have had some struggles and heartache in the past but I loved watching them find healing and love in this story.
Everly’s ex-boyfriend is now her sister’s fiancé. Ouch! Every step she tries to make in healing from the heartache of that situation just pushes her back several more. Her sister is determined to have Everly a part of everything to do with the wedding and planning it. So Everly seeks solace in the one place that brings her peace and hope. She has several surprises waiting for her though when she inadvertently becomes friends with Austin…the guy set to wreck her place of solace.
Austin was fabulous! He took on Everly’s determination to save her place of solace and finds a way to move forward with his work but help her not feel like she’s losing everything she cherished.
I loved their interactions. I loved the way they became friends and were able to gain a better perspective on their lives through each other. I loved how they helped each other. They weren’t afraid to be straightforward and talk to the other. And there’s a fun little surprise throughout the book that was just so darn cute! The little surprise kept the storyline between Austin and Everly moving but also causing me to wonder how everything was going to work out. And let me just tell you that Austin just goes the extra mile to show Everly that he’s the real deal!
This was a sweet story and had me smiling (and sighing) several times. Lots of sweet and clean romance and heart moving moments. And a few not so sweet and heart moving moments…at least not happy heart moving moments. I had a few characters that I wanted to give them a piece of my mind. I wanted to tell them to shape up a few times. Luckily they grew up (a little bit).
I loved it! And thinking more about this book, I’m smiling even more as I write my thoughts in this review. I even went back and reread the ending. *Happy sigh indeed*
This book is part of a multi-author series. They are all standalone novels but are connected by the town and some of the characters.

I don't know why but I was thinking that the main characters were younger than they were but I really loved the depth their slightly older age (42 & 48) and experiences brought to this story.
Rebecca and Kenneth find themselves with different life circumstances happening. Circumstances they didn't expect and these set them on paths that they also weren't expecting. I loved reading their different perspectives. At first glance you see an instant attraction between them. But if you read the whole book and read closely at that scene, you realize that yes, they do feel attraction, but the biggest pull is their loneliness. They share a sweet and tender kiss. One that leaves them reeling from the unexpectedness of it all. Then comes the further interactions. Some accidental and some intentional.
The way Josi Kilpack wrote these characters and their thoughts was wonderful. She really showed how the characters had struggles due to their stations and expectations from family and society. And how those expectations really held a lot of weight for them to continue a relationship, or even just a friendship. There are many scenes that are Kenneth or Rebecca thinking through everything to themselves. They're trying to rise up to their roles and yet there are many aspects about those roles that are not easy. Family makes it complicated. But I felt the way it was all addressed and presented was well done.
Especially the ending. Oh my heart!!!! I was grinning so much over these two. I even shed a few tears for them. They just truly touched my heart. And some of the secondary characters had me smiling so much as well. I was pulled in completely while reading this! Truly wonderful and delightful!

II have been reading this author's books almost from the beginning of her start in publishing. I'm a big fan and devour her books every chance I get. I've read them all. This was fun to see these 5 books put into a collection. They are all some of my favorites from her.
I laughed and cried while reading them. I know that sounds really cliche but I promise you that I did. I just can't help it. I really enjoy the way this author writes her characters. I enjoy the lightheartedness and flirtyness to her books but there's always a touch of the serious and growth that I love watching in characters as well. They pull me in from the first page and have me not wanting to set down the book until I've finished enjoying the story.
The author writes clean stories. There is nothing more than some kisses and flirting in them. I'm always satisfied with her ability to add chemistry and heat without showing in detail.
I highly recommend you checking this boxset out or any of her books if you've been sitting on the fence debating about them.

I love this series. The mystery. The curse. The sisters. The matriarch. And of course the swoony love stories as well. So much goodness throughout all of these books. I couldn't wait for each book to come out and I devoured them. Especially the last one. I loved the family history aspects of it as well as how it tied everything in the series together. And how it tied everything related to the curse together and brought closure for this family.
The journal entries and history of the family were very fascinating. If you love a good gothic story, with mystery, suspense, an ancient curse, fabulous characters, and of course the swoony men who capture the hearts of these sisters, grab this boxset and immerse yourself in the Ambrose family.
I read my own personal copies of the individual books. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Eden's book Seeking Persephone being advertised for the first time. I was soooo excited! I couldn't wait to get a copy of it. And I have been a fan ever since I opened that first book up and devoured it. I can't tell you how many times I read Seeking Persephone, Courting Miss Lancaster and Kiss of a Stranger. I lived where my local library wasn't very big and I wasn't able to get a lot of the books that I wanted to read. So I reread the copies of my books in my personal library many times. These books will always have a special place in my heart. They were there when I was a tired momma needing a break. Now my kiddos have also fallen in love with this author's books and devour them like I do. After being immersed in the Lancaster and Jonquil families' stories for years, this book was so fun to see more of them as side characters. I loved it! And I love the new characters that were introduced.
Ellie and Newton are just darling. They are two fabulous characters. They're kind of the quiet, underdogs in their families. Told what to do and not feeling like their desires and hopes are acceptable. But I loved how they found ways for themselves. And I especially love that Ellie learned to trust her heart and to not believe what her family said to her.
I love Sarah M. Eden's writing. Her characters shine. Their struggles and sorrows and hopes and dreams. Their growth. Their friendships (I really love the interconnections and friendships that are throughout her books and series). Their joy. Their humor. Their love stories. I just love it all!
There were some fun little tidbits of explanation scattered throughout that referenced something that had happened to characters from previous books. I had some good chuckles over one of those. I know that's vague and especially not helpful if you haven't read any of this author's books. But I just can't spoil it. Whether you've read her books or not, you could read this as a stand alone novel. And a bonus to that, you'll be introduced to some characters that you'll just love and want to know their stories. You'll possibly be drawn into them like I was all those years ago. Sarah M. Eden has a fan for life in this reader.
Sit back and enjoy a charming and delightful story filled with friends and family and intrigue and plans that go awry. Watch out for the sweet love story as well. *Happy Sigh*

I sawI was pulled into this book and loved it from the beginning to the end. It was delightful! I honestly wasn't sure what to expect with this book. I saw the book cover (loved it) and read the synopsis (loved it too) and knew that I really wanted to read this one. I was excited for the adventure that awaited me within this book.
I listened to an audiobook version and have to say that it was pretty fun! You have to listen pretty carefully at the beginning to get used to knowing who the character is and the jumping around between the past and the present. But the narrator's voice was charming and I loved her interpretation of Josie De Clare and Elias Roch. Well done!
The book is written in the form of email and text messages between Josie and her dearest friend Faith. Text messages between Josie and several other characters. The text messages are differentiated with a bell sound and the emails are made known with the narrator reading the email address and to/from. Then Josie reads letters written in the past by Elias Roch to Josephine De Clare as well as a novel written by Elias Roch. The chapters of the books alternate between Josie, Elias and The Novel.
I loved how the story came to life through the written word. It was truly delightful! I had hopes for certain outcomes in the story but was delightfully surprised when it didn't happen how I had thought it would. Josie and Elias are from different time periods but have so many similarities and I love how they "help" each other. I won't say anything more than that because I don't want to spoil anything. And you truly just have to delve into the story and experience it to understand.
I was grinning and possibly giggling a little at the end of the book because I truly loved how it all came to an end. Grab a copy and enjoy this delightful book. If you've read other epistle style books and enjoyed them you will truly love this one. And if you haven't experienced this type of writing style, take a chance and dive in. This book is geared towards YA but I'm far past that age and I enjoyed it! My teenagers listened to a lot of the book with me and they didn't want to stop listening. It was a hit!
Content: I felt like this was a clean book, minus one aspect due to a word that is repeated. Other than that it was clean. There is nothing more than a couple kisses in the book. Elias' character is an illegitimate child and the author used the term "B******" for describing him. Back in that time it was what would be used to describe a child born out of wedlock. I did feel like the amount of times that this term was used at the beginning was kind of overkill. I think it could have been toned down a lot. I felt that it came across quite well that he was the illegitimate son and didn't need to hear that term over and over again. But I know not all readers mind that like I do. So if you don't like that in your reading, I will say it happens several times throughout the book. More so in the beginning of the book and it tapers off and only says it occasionally throughout the rest of the book.

Such a sweet story. These characters aren't without heartache and sorrows though. But I enjoyed watching them start to heal and find joy and peace in Such a sweet story. These characters aren't without heartache and sorrows though. But I enjoyed watching them start to heal and find joy and peace in the world around them. One of them disappeared to deal with his grief and the other found ways to find joy and peace around her and in lifting others up.
Percy and Anna were a sweet couple. They were friends but through loss and sorrow in their community they both had to find a way to deal with that grief. Percy came back to Hardman even through the reservations he had. It was the best thing he could have done. He needed closure from his loss. There are so many people in this small community who were so happy to see Percy again. This is the first book of this 9 book series that I've read so I didn't recognize any of these characters from previous books. But I loved the feeling of family they created with each other and their community.
There was a sweet love story that budded between Percy and Anna. I enjoyed watching them come to know each other again after so many years and that their friendship was still there after a long absence. They had some struggles that were happening in their community as well that they worked together to solve. I knew that I didn't like a couple characters for a reason. ;-) Not going to say who, I'll let you figure that one out. But just get ready for some fun surprises.
Anna's grandpa was a fun character and I loved seeing him also have some closure and finding joy through his friendships. And Percy's parents were very loving and kind.
If you are looking for a sweet book of healing and peace, a sense of community with your characters and a tender love story, this is one for you!

I love a good fake fiance story and this one added in the fun of some suspense, secret agents, a Faberge egg, lots of sparks and chemistry, fun banter between the main characters, an elaborate Christmas party and much more.
There are several books in this Fake Fiance Christmas Romance series. All of them are stand alone novels and look like a lot of fun. I have read a couple and own several.
Erin and Braden were a fun couple to read about. Especially their first encounter. Talk about a little bit of mix-up and mistaken identity. Maybe a little face palm moment afterwards when Erin realizes what she's done. And definitely nothing like making a blunder like she did only to turn around and find out that you have to work with the person. Haha! I chuckled over her predicament.
It was fun to tag along with this duo while they were searching out the bad guys and trying to find the egg as well as pretend to be engaged. They weren't super comfortable with each other at first. And I don't blame them. I would probably feel the same way as Erin. But as the party progressed these two found their rhythm and were a fun team. Some unexpected things pop up that have them navigating their assignment differently than planned.
The chemistry between them was well written. I kept cheering them on. I loved the ending. Not wanting to spoil anything I won't say what happens. Just that they don't know each other for long but they do have a connection and I really liked how the author portrayed their relationship at the end of the book (and let's be honest here, throughout the whole book). *Swoon*

Danica has a pretty famous father which has thrown her into the spotlight her whole life. After a backfired plan with her "friends," she finds herself stranded at a Billionaire Resort, without money and her father's wrath.
Danica's character was one that I felt sorry for. Especially the more the book revealed her backstory and struggles. I loved watching her find joy in the little things she started to experience for the first time. I laughed out loud several times at her cleaning antics, but I also cheered her on as she didn't let those little mistakes (and sometimes big mistakes) deter her from trying her best.
Austin's character was great! I really loved his goodness and his willingness to help Danica. He knew who she was but she didn't know who he was. Talk about coming back to bite you in the face when the lie (ok, maybe not lie on his part, it wasn't intentional and you'll have to read the book to understand) is revealed. The friendship that builds between Danica and Austin was one of my favorite aspects of this story. Austin was so good about helping Danica to not be so hard on herself and to give herself more credit. She needed someone like that in her life. A champion for her gaining more self confidence. I couldn't imagine being in the spotlight all the time and every little thing I did overanalyzed and completely wrong and talked about by everyone and their dog. No thank you!!!
There's some sweet and clean romance as well in this book. I liked the ending a lot. I like books that show us the growth of characters and I enjoyed seeing that happen in Danica. She was sweet and found some gumption to navigate her life. Go Danica!!! I'm proud of you girl!

So sweet!
If you've read other books by this author and in this series, then you're going to recognize some of the secondary characters. I smiled at the references and appearances.
Noelani and Cache were just too cute. From the first appearance of both and the instant interest/attraction. But don't worry there's a cute build of friendship. They only have so many days to be around each other at the music festival but the connection they feel towards each other leads them to want to continue a long distance relationship. Especially after a little bit of an accident and they get stranded together, they decide that pursuing more than just friendship is worth it.
Cache was just plain ol' charming. If you like gentleman cowboys, he's definitely one of them! Such a good guy. Noelani you're a lucky girl! But at the same time, she's a sweetheart. These two couldn't be a better match together! I smiled and laughed and loved how developed this shorter story was. I wanted more with these two characters but was satisfied with it feeling like it was well rounded and complete.

But let's be honesI couldn't imagine being a young lady back in the Regency time period. Yes, I dream about it and have fantasized about living then. But let's be honest here, in all reality, a lot of the rules and restrictions for them were hard. Maybe I should clarify a little. The rules and restrictions were good for protecting the girls but at the same time society and those rules could be absolutely brutal.
Eliza finds herself ruined through the whisperings of society due to an unexpected kiss. How could this have happened to her? With no family or friends to turn to she finds herself seeking refuge at the Magdalen house for ruined girls. With this villainous man pursuing and seeking her out she hopes to stay hidden from him.
Daniel and Eliza have known each other since they were children. He has loved and admired her from afar. Eliza on the other hand doesn't remember too much about him. When their paths cross as Daniel seeks her out to rescue her from her current circumstances, she finds he is her only option of rescue.
This was a sweet love story. If you're reading it and find Eliza's back and forth emotions interesting, just think of her as having come out of a horrible situation and having shock or PTSD from it. It would not be easy to trust another man after her pursuer's actions. But Daniel was so patient and gentle with her. I loved how he showed her how a gentleman truly was and that his love for her was real and continuing to grow. Their sweet budding friendship and love was enjoyable to read.
And of course I've mentioned this villainous character a few times but will let you read and figure out more about him. On top of him there's some family drama and a lot of family support on Daniel's side. I cannot wait to read the next book in this story. I'm really hoping it'll be Frederick's story (Daniel's brother). And Cassandra having her own story would be wonderful too (and the other siblings). This family was great.
Content: Clean. There are a few innuendos throughout the story but nothing graphic. The villainous character talks about his mistress and indiscretion but it isn't in detail and graphic. There is also kissing and behind closed door scenes of a married couple. There is also no detail with the married couple.

I loved all the4.5* I can always count on having many good laughs and sweet romance when I read a book by Jennifer Griffith. This was such a fun story.
I loved all the different aspects included in it. Brother's best friend forbidden love, family, fake engagements, family rivals, music (lots of fun music), Christmas time, misconceptions, and much, much more.
Chelsea and Wyatt have been friends for a long time and with Chelsea's brother they are a singing trio called Christmas Tree-O. How cute is that group name? I thought it was adorable and clever. They have been singing Christmas songs together for many years now. But this year, there's a slight hiccup. Chelsea's brother can't be there at several of the rehearsals and performances. And that in turn leaves Chelsea and Wyatt alone. They've always kept away from each other because of her brother's demands, but this year those sparks they've shied away from are bursting and growing. Add to that a mistaken engagement and bam! These two are in for the Christmas adventure of their life! ;-)
The music references were great! I loved them. Especially the one liners from Christmas songs that Chelsea would think or say out loud and how they fit in perfectly with the moment. I giggled over many of them. Can you figure out what songs they come from?
These two have to figure out some family issues and personal issues as they are going through this Christmas season. Some bring up painful memories but it was good to watch them work through their past hurts and insecurities with each other.
Content: Clean. Some very mild innuendos from a secondary character but nothing graphic. Sweet kisses.

Calling all you sweet Christmas story loving readers, this book is for you! This story was so stinking cute! I love stories with musical aspects in them and when I read the premise for this I was so excited to read it and see how Hailey and Ryan's story plays out. Two words...Happy Sigh!
Hailey is a singer/songwriter trying to make it in the music business. But with a few complications from her day job hours she finds herself losing her singing gig at a local club. In a moment of support, Hailey's roommate encourages her to record one of her songs and post it on Youtube. I loved all the repercussions that occurred form her video. Positive repercussions. One of which is being discovered by Ryan. He's a pretty big name and knows his music. I loved watching their story unfold. All the unplanned meetings and the friendship that develops, plus all the coincidences. *sigh*
There are several secondary characters that I really enjoyed as well that added a lot of depth and development to the story. There are some family struggles for a little bit but they helped form the story and the resolution was great.
If you're looking for some sweet Christmas time romance, great music and darling characters, grab a copy of this book. It is the third in the series. I haven't read the previous two books and was able to read this one without feeling lost. So definitely a stand alone novel.
