اولین بار، نام میرا را در گفت و گو با لی لی گلستان شنیده بودم. ایشان طرح کلی داستان را در کتاب شان تعریف کرده بودند و گفته بود که بسیار زیبا و جذاب اساولین بار، نام میرا را در گفت و گو با لی لی گلستان شنیده بودم. ایشان طرح کلی داستان را در کتاب شان تعریف کرده بودند و گفته بود که بسیار زیبا و جذاب است. می دانستم که لی لی گلستان سرش به تنش می ارزد، و خب کتاب بد هم معرفی نمی کند، و خودش هم مترجم بسیار خاص و دوست داشتنی ای است. بلافاصله گرفتمش، اما مدت ها در قفسه ی کتابخانه ام خاک خورد تا که فرصت مناسب بدست آمد. شروع کردم خواندن ، اما یکدفعه چنان جذب جان و وجودم شد. از چهار بعدازظهر شروع کردم، و ساعت چهار صبح تمامش کردم. نفسم بند آمده بود. میرا، این غول کوچک ،اما مهیب ، برخلاف ظاهر ساده اش اثری بی اندازه مهیب و تکان دهنده بود. همیشه دیده بودیم و خوانده بودیم که آدم ها باید با هم باشند، از هم حمایت کنند، کنار هم باشند، همدیگر را تنها نگذارند و از این مزخرفات....اما تا به امروز، کتابی ندیده بودم که اینقدر تنهایی را بستاید، و نشان دهد تنهایی در جاهایی حقیقتا لازم است. میرا درد جامعه ی مدرن است؛ مدرنیته و صنعتی شدن باعث شده تا آدم ها بیشتر دچار چشم و هم چشمی بشوند ، و بیشتر برای هم ظاهر سازی کنند. به نظر من، هرچه جلوتر می رویم و زمانه پیشرفته تر می شود، روابط آدم ها سرد تر، سطحی تر، و احساساتشان به هم به سطح میل می کند. تمام اینها ، به صورت بسیار نمادین در میرا تجلی پیدا می کند. اگرچه موضوع و فضای میرا متعلق به دوره ای پساآخرالزمانی است، اما به نظر من، اثری است بسیار عام شمول. میرا، جامعه ( البته بیشتر به اردوگاه شباهت دارد تا جامعه) هولناک و ناراحت کننده را تصویر می کند که در آن، حکومتی دیکتاتور و بسیار مرموز حاکم است و هرکس که بخواهد طغیان کند و سر به نافرمانی نهد، به مرگ و یا سرنوشتی بدتر از مرگ محکوم خواهد شد. این سرنوشت بدتر از مرگ، نوعی شست و شوی مغزی است که در کتاب از آن یه عنوان «اصلاح» یاد شده است. در این روش، بر روی صورت افراد جراحی هولناکی انجام می شود، و ماسکی به صورت افراد زده می شود. این ماسک خنده، به تدریج بخشی از صورت افراد می شود، و نه تنها ظاهرشان، بلکه رفتار و تفکرشان را هم عوض می کند؛ همه مطیع «جمع» می شوند. برای نابودی فردیت، باید انسان را تا حد پست خودشان پایین بیاورند تا بتوانند جامعه شان را قوی تر کنند. این دریغ فردیت، تنها محدود به اصلاح کردن نمی شود؛ بلکه دست کاری قوانین بازی ها، درست کردن خانه های شیشه ای، بازجویی های آزاردهنده،چراغ های همیشه روشن، مردمی که در دشت راه می روند و به هم لبخند می زنند،آشفته اند ( به یاد بیاورید جایی که نوشته حرف زد ولی از حرف زدن باز ماند)و.... همگی شاهدانی بر این قضیه هستند. دردهای انسان مدرن در صفحه به صفحه ی کتاب نشان داده می شود؛ آدم هایی که احساس اعتماد به نفس و فردیت ندارند، آدم هایی که مدام در کار و زندگی هم سرک می کشند، حرفی برای گفتن با یکدیگر ندارند، با همه هستند ولی تنها اند، و از همه مهم تر نزدیکی های سردی دارند. بله؛ بزرگ ترین درد مدرنیته، به نظرم، این است که آدم ها نزدیکی های سرد و بی احساسی دارند و در نتیجه، گدای گرمای انسانی اند و آن را به شیوه ای غیرانسانی طلب می کنند. و بدتر از آن، توجه بی اندازه به ظواهر است «میرا هم دوستان زیادی ندارد. ولی دارد،چون زیباست». در داستان میرا،مسسولان جامعه متوجه سردی روابط شده اند، اما راه هایی را انتخاب کرده اند که روابط را سردتر و سردتر می کند، و هرکسی که چیزی می داند، و یا می خواهد خدمتی به بشریت کند تا بلکه کمی از تنهایی درآید را سرکوب می کند( به یاد بیاورید راوی داستان، و حتا کسی که ماشینی «بی مصرف» اختراع کرده بود) این جامعه فرق تنهایی و داشتن خلوت را با یکدیگر اشتباه گرفته، و بنابراین دست به هرکاری می زند تا این «تنهایی» را از انسان دریغ کند. حتا آدم های پیر هم بدبخت اند، مدرنیته و سردی آن از یک طرف و سرد شدن روابط انسان ها در دوره ی پیری از طرف دیگر انسان های پیر را بیشتر می سوزاند و زجر می دهد. یکی از چیزهایی که در این جامعه، هولناک و تلخ است بی اعتمادی آدم ها به هم دیگر است «آن ها دنبال کسی می گردند که خودش را در زیرزمین مخفی کرده است. زنش خبر ناپدید شدنش را به وزارت انضباط داده است».....وحشتناک است که حتا به نزدیک ترین کس خودت هم نتوانی اعتماد کنی، آن هم وقتی کاری نکرده ای، و تنها جرم تو، این است که خواسته ای چند دقیقه ، چند لحظه تنها باشی. همین. جامعه آنقدر بر افراد خودش فشار آورده که حتا سالم ترین فرد هم احساس بیماری می کند. آدم های داستان، همگی منفعل و ناتوانند «همیشه به نظرم رسیده است که می توانم کاری بکنم، ولی هرگز کاری نکرده ام.......هرگز به جایی نرسیده ام». داستان چندین سبک را بسیار استادانه مخلوط کرده و معجونی ساخته بسیار دلچسپ: سمبلیک،ژانر وحشت، سورئال، علمی تخیلی، و در عین حال بشدت رئالیستی «ما این را دیدیم و من همانطور که دیدم نوشتم». روایت بسیار گزارش گونه است، و در عین حال بسیار نامطمئن. چون راوی به دوروبر خود بی اطمینان است، و در نهایت ما را هم بی اطمینان می کند.نه به او، بلکه به محیط بسیار ترسناک و سورئالی که او می بیند...اما به صداقت او مطمئن هستیم. جذابیت مهم داستان، طبق مقدمه ی ژان لویی کورتیس، به بیگانگی راوی است. راوی می داند که از بقیه متفاوت است، اما ریشه ی تفاوت خود را نمی داند؛ چون بیمار شده. یا دست کم فکر می کند که بیمار است. اما آنچه که راوی را، در نهایت نجات می دهد عشق به میرا است. میرا است که به او انگیزه می دهد تا دوباره سرپا بایستد، میرا است که او را –بی آنکه بفهمد و بخواهد- به نوشتن و خطر کردن ترغیب می کند، و میرا است که تمام تغیرات بزرگ را در راوی به وجود می آورد. عشقی که در عین جذاب بودن مرگبار است و در نهایت، سر راوی را به باد می دهد. راهی برای رهایی از این جامعه، و رهایی از عشق به میرا نیست مگر مرگ. اما شخصاً ، یک ویژگی کتاب را بسیار پسندیدم. کریستوفر فرانک نثری تصویری دارد؛ آنقدر توصیفاتش دقیق، واضح و سینمایی است که جداً تحت تاثیر قرار گرفتم. حتا معتقدم که برخی از صحنه های داستان الهام بخش برخی از فیلم هایی معروف و زیبای سینما بوده( آیا صحنه ای که راوی بر روی صندلی دندانپزشکی بسته شده، بر روی جان شلینزگر و ویلیام گلدمن _کارگردان و فیلمنامه نویس_ در ساختن فیلم دونده ماراتن(1976) تاثیر نگذاشته است؟) و یا دیالوگ های بسیار چند لایه و عمیق کتاب که واقعاً شیفته اش شدم. ترجمه ی کتاب، بسیار زیبا و خوب بود. همین که لی لی گلستان توانسته از زبان تلخ و سرد میرا، به زبان شیرین و دوست داشتنی تیستو برسد برای اثبات توانایی او در امر ترجمه کافی است. شش آبان 94_تهران ...more
