This is one of those books....the title immediately attracted me.
The book itself was an absolute delight....I loved it!
But....the first few chapters were a bit of a struggle for me....the book covers a time span from the 70s to now and goes back and forth and there are a lot of characters introduced right off the bat and they all play a part in the story so its a lot to take in and try to remember.
I liked that the writer based a lot of the story on their own life experience and I of course love the tarot readings and the gift that Imelda has. The romance is a brief part but not unimportant in the story. I think Imelda is the main character in this story, but all the people you meet here play a part no matter how small in telling this story.
As I got the people sorted and their stories sorted I was able to see how things were brought together and possibly I knew before the story was over what the answers were but it did not stop my tears when the characters were given the answers. I think its a really great book, I would recommend it to anyone for a fun read, a great story about lives connecting....well written and I am eager to try other books by this writer. ...more

I love how all the characters in the book tie together and become friends and how each person travels back or forward and comes to terms with their present. Not a traditional time travel book, but I loved it and I wasn't expecting to which makes it even better. Most of the stories are incredibly heart breaking but they are life stories for sure....not everything goes the way we want it and life hurts us badly at times. These were beautifully written. I look forward to reading more by this author. Also I love the woman in that chair!...more

I wasn't sure at first but as I got into it I really enjoyed it and by the end I can say that I would love Tim Burton to pick this up and make another movie!!! There are a couple I sure I didn't see that coming parts and some mild peril but overall I loved the story line and enjoyed the Queen's part in it particularly with her recent passing. Fun book for fans of Jack and Sally and the Halloweentown crew!!...more

Definitely a twist onto the version of Snow White I am used, too! Good ending and beautiful artwork. I will have to look and see if there is another version like a regular book rather than a graphic book. Still...I enjoyed it and it was a quick and easy read. ...more
