It's perfect for people who want to develop their comprehension skills. They're also real stories, not encounters with the neighbours or visits to the post office, which often call themselves stories. This book is about two American women going to Paris, renting an apartment, and the day after they arrive their landlord is found dead in their kitchen. They are suspects, but our heroine does a little investigating of her own and helps flag down the murderer. The story is thin, but that's fine. It's still a real story, with multiple possibilities and good motives. I recommend her books highly to people learning French....more

It is very engaging; a delightful combination of modern high technology and ancient secret society mysteries. The hero is Clay, an ex-designer and typography expert, who ends up working the late shift in the bookstore because he really needs a job. Except he's not allowed to read the books. And the bookstore doesn't really seem to sell any books anyway, but lends them out to the strangest people.
So he decides to while away his mostly silent hours learning how to do data visualisation, and chooses the bookstore as his first project. And thus begins the adventure.
It's a light-hearted, cheerful book with a good narrative flow from beginning through middle to ending. And if you're the type who wonders what happened to all the characters next, this is nicely outlined in the epilogue!...more
