I don’t Oh my gosh, I devoured this book!! This is my absolute favorite Jennifer Weiner book and I’ve read most of them. I could not stop reading it.
I don’t want to give away too much of the plot as I really enjoyed going into this book without knowing much about it. It wasn’t at all what I was expecting and I was very pleasantly surprised as the story unfolded.
The book is about the relationship of two very different sisters, Zoe and Cassie, and the music scene in the early aughts and it’s a total gem! It’s a bit different than most of the other books I’ve read by this author but oh so wonderful. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to read this ARC.
Thank you to Netgalley, William Morrow and author Jennifer Weiner for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I was initially hesitant to read Eowyn Ivey’s newest novel as I doubted it would live up to her beautiful work in The Snow Child. The author has exceeded my expectations with this stunning book.
The characters are all well developed, especially young Emaleen whose perspectives were perhaps my favorites. The author has a knack for writing from a child’s POV.
The wilderness of Alaska is as much a character in this story as Arthur, Birdie and her daughter Emaleen. The descriptions of the flora and fauna of the Wolverine River area, as well as the quirky, interesting cast of characters, have me wanting to book a flight to Alaska immediately.
This bittersweet story will stay with you long after you’ve read the final page. I know I will be rereading this book periodically as I do with The Snow Child.

I was utterly captivated by this slow burn mystery. The touches of fantasy and magical realism are so beautifully written that they almost seem possible. I loved this book and these characters!
On to my next Adrienne Young novel!

And Ranger, the super pup, who keeps watch over Kyra as she makes a new home in a beautiful small town, Gold Creek, after leaving her controlling, abusive husband.
I would definitely recommend this book for fans of the Virgin River, Chesapeake Shores and Sweet Magnolia series. There’s a touch of sweet, clean romance as well as Kyra’s budding friendships with the members of the Tattooed Ladies Club. I want to have dinner in lovely Gold Creek with this diverse group of intelligent and interesting ladies!
This looks to be the first in a new series and I’m looking forward to the next book.
I give this book 3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4.

From the stunning cover to the very last page I was completely invested in this beautifully written family drama. The well developed characters all felt like friends and family and I am going to miss them terribly. I did not want this book to end, but it’s a good thing it did because I was running out of tissues.
All three of the author’s books are among my favorites but this one really tugged at the heartstrings. No one writes working class characters better, and after reading this book I feel like I actually visited Potsdam. I look forward to seeing what she writes next. This author is an auto buy for me.

Rip Tide is a quick and enjoyable read even if I want to shake some sense into the main characters. I especially enjoyed the unexpected reveal at the end of the book. This is a coming of age, family drama not a thriller despite being categorized as one.
It wasn’t what I was expecting but on the whole it’s an enjoyable novel about sisters, friends (and frenemies), and the obstacles they face in high school and beyond.

This whole series is fantastic and you don’t necessarily need to read them in order to enjoy the books, but I’m fairly certain if this is your first one you’ll go back and read them all. And you should.
Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a fast paced mystery with no sex scenes or graphic gore.

Told from several POV, this book is filled with twists and turns galore! It’s a great mashup of thriller, mystery and horror and to make it even better there’s a blizzard. There’s nothing I like better on a 95° day than reading about freezing cold and a dangerous blizzard. I had trouble putting this book down as I needed to know what would happen next.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast paced, trippy whodunnit. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Travis, Beth’s kidnapper from a year ago, has escaped custody and is on the run searching for Beth. Luckily for Beth most of the town is looking out for her as usual. Will Travis be caught and pay for his crimes? Will Beth survive another attack? Read this book to find out for yourself.
