The Plot At the beginni3⭐
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publishers for providing me with an ARC in return for an honest review.
The Plot At the beginning, I really enjoyed how we just dove straight into the plot, which was "fake dating". I put fake dating in quotation marks since it's like a bet between them so it isn't like the other books with the cliché fake dating and I liked that I was reading something different. [image] Although the plan for this trope was very smart from the author's part, It didn't build up well to me. The fake dating trope was put out there a bit randomly so I felt like there should have been some type of build up for character development or even just for it to make more sense.
I enjoyed all the events that happened in this book and how those events turned out. I also enjoyed how we get closer to the friend group and their past.
The Characters Gracie I liked Gracie's character. [image] She wasn't anything THAT special but she didn't annoy me and I admired how hard working she was for herself. I liked how at some parts the author made her randomly sassy and bold just to annoy Dean.
Dean Again... he was a good character [image] The characters didn't really stand out to me ok?! But anyways... I liked how they kept pranking each other but I also felt like the author kept dragging it on and on (view spoiler)[
since it was VERY obvious that they liked each other(hide spoiler)]
I enjoyed the drama going on with the friend group but I thought that the drama between 2 certain characters was very extra and not needed. I am aware that there will be a second book for another couple and I felt like this friend drama would have made much more sense in that book instead since it would have also kept the plot going.
Anyways that's it lovelies xxx [image]

If you're reading this review, STOP. Go read the book, You wont regret it.
This book deserves so much more than 5 stars!!! This started off my reading month so so well. I heard so much amazing things about this book so when I saw that ARC application, it was like a calling if you must and I do not regret it whatsoever because this book is definitely up there with my top 10 books of 2023 so far.
Stella has always wanted to let people make memories with their families the same way she and her mother made them at the same exact Christmas tree farm she bought a year ago. But not everything is going to plan especially with some racoons wanting to be enemies. The farm isn't doing that well financially but Stella refuses to depend on her other business partners or her best friend. When the opportunity arises that the farm can be featured in a competition with a big cheque as the prize, Stella doesn't think twice to apply. Although, while applying she might have said a bit of a white lie which may include her and her best friend of 9 years, Luca, dating and opening the farm together because who doesn't love a sappy romance story? Now with the influencer on her way, she needs someone to act as her fake boyfriend, and the only person who would do it without a second thought, is the man she was thinking of while lying in the application.

This book was *chefs kiss*! The characters practically OWN a fraction of my heart now. The book immediately starts off with the plot so it's definitely not one of those books which you need to read till 75% to actually see the plot come to life. All the side characters are so well written! I honestly, genuinely can not express how amazing this book is in this review because I will need at least an hour and forty five minutes to rant about how much I love Stella and Luca together. Luca being Italian makes him so much better! I loved the way he interacts with his family because yes, when you're European each and every aunt knows your business and considers it her own and his aunts along with his mother truly made the book.
I can not wait to get my hand on the second book which is Beckett's book! I just know I'm going to go feral reading it cause who doesn't love a guy who keeps kittens in his front pouch....more

This manga was definitely more on the cheesy side than romance side since it is still the first volume but I loved every second of it! The situation in this manga sounds so unrealistic that it just makes it even better. The art style was really appropriate to this manga and I think this was the first time I had ever seen such an art style in a manga, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
I will definitely be looking out for the second volume on NetGalley because I just need to know how the story continues forward after all that had happened in the first volume. I definitely recommend this manga for any beginner who want to start reading Shoujo or anyone who wants a funny and light manga to read!...more

I would like to thank NetGalley, the authors and Oliver Heber Books for providing me with a free ARC of this book in return for my honest and personal opinions.
I was ecstatic when I received the notification that I was approved this ARC because the cover and book synopsis promised a cute and fluffy small town romance between a bookstore owner and a mysterious grump. The book isn't that far off but I was DEFINITELY not expecting the male lead to be like that.
The Plot This book had SO MUCH to offer but the plot fell really flat to me, so much that it felt like a chore to read this book. To me, it was very evident that this book was written by two authors because the writing was differing drastically from one chapter to another. I don't want to sound ridiculous but at a point in this book, there simply was no plot and only lust between the two main characters. I feel like this book would have been so so so much better if the male leads "circumstances" were different because it truly could have been a cute small town, grumpy x sunshine romance. The book just seemed like the authors wanted the book to be different from other books but, to me, it just came out plain weird.
The Characters Cady Cady annoyed me SO MUCH in this book! She seemed to be one of those people who would bring herself down just to receive compliments from others ...more

The Plot I liked how chaotic this book started because it was like something out of a rom-com! The main part of this book (the competition) was a really interesting and unique aspect to this book which I really liked. I really enjoyed the writing of this book and felt like it was very fast paced which never let me get bored whilst reading. I liked how detailed the main plot was and how I as a reader who knows nothing about interior design but I didn't feel overwhelmed whatsoever whilst reading this book and I feel like the author did a good job of ensuring that.
The Characters Ella Ella was definitely a fierce character who was not afraid to speak out her opinions and I really liked that about her! She wasn't a fragile character when she had no reason to be. At the beginning I found her a bit annoying seeing as it seemed like she kept bugging Grant but overtime she grew a bit on me and became much less annoying. I loved how brave she was when she was helpless in situations and how she kept her tough act even when crumbling slowly inside which made her more of an inspirational woman!
Grant In the beginning of the book, Grant was the literal meaning of GRUMPY. I didn't think that I would like him that much throughout the book but, once again, he grew on me and became this huge softy for Ella. I loved his interactions with his friends and how close they all were together. That plot twist shocked me and shook me to my core and that is not an understatement! I was flabbergasted for an entire minute so I liked how he overcame all that and moved forward to find other happiness.
Extra note: I don't really get why "Bacon Flavored Soda" was mentioned so many times in this book but I'm sure someone out there found it pleasant?
If you want to read a fast paced, enemies to lovers with forced proximity, then this is definitely a book you should consider reading!

✅Friends to Lovers ✅Best friend's Brother ✅Childhood Friends ✅She Fell First but He Fell Harder ✅Dual POVs
The Plot This book grasped my interest from the very beginning! The Plot wasn't as cliché as I thought it would be since in a way this book is a friends to lovers which many people aren't actually a fan of but I am certain that so many would love this book because even though they already knew each other and us readers didn't get that development, there was still a big development between the two but there is also a big development with the plot itself which does keep you interested. I understand that the community center is a big part in this book and plot but I felt like a few more pages to explain its importance to the characters individually would have helped a bit more.
The Characters Daisy Daisy was such a well written and cute character. All the effort she puts into helping others and putting others needs before her own was very inspirational. I really enjoyed reading about her background and how she is the person she is now because of all she had been through. I liked how close she was to her sister and how their relationship was so strong in this book!
Luke Luke was such a sweetheart in this book! Again, I liked how the author explained his hardships so well and how it shows that his past made him who he truly is now. I loved how we see him slowly letting go of what holds him back in life and his relationship with his sister and her husband aka his best friend is just *chefs kiss*...more

This manga was such a sweet one that dove into sone deep topics such as family, love and finding your self. It deals with ones appearance and ones reality and how one family which seems so perfect, contains people who are each struggling in a different way but at the end reach out for each other and find their own happiness together while finding their true self. It was very heartwarming and knowing that the author based it off of their own events makes it more meaningful and special.

The Plot I just want to make this clear that I was going to DNF this book so many times but I kept pushing through it in hopes that it would get better. It didn’t. I liked the K-pop touch that this book gave because I person have never read a book which includes a K-pop idol so that’s a good aspect of this book that it’s original. The bad thing is that the plot is dragged a lot and it’s really un organized. I’m not sure if that was done with a purpose to reflect the main character’s life but it felt very overwhelming to me as a reader. I felt like many things were added to the plot for the sake of a word count. I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn’t! There was a point where the plot piqued my interest like when her job was involved but other than that, I was very bored most of the time and didn’t want to read this book.
The Characters Bianca At first I could sympathize with Bianca and her life situation especially when that plot twist came about. But then she kept crying and crying every chapter and she just became annoying. I understand that what she was going through was “difficult” but there was no need for her to be crying over such nonsense things. For the most part, I couldn’t even understand what she was crying for.
Eric I don’t have much to say about Eric other than that he was portrayed to be this nice and kind idol who truly likes his job and not the fame. I didn’t feel any connection towards him and my emotions are quite… blank. The thing is that he fell very flat to me. Both him and Bianca along with any other characters in the book.
—————————————————————
I personally didn’t enjoy this book but I kept pushing because I really wanted to give it a chance but that almost lead to me ending up in a reading slump which I happily over came very quickly. I just don’t think that this author’s writing is for me and that’s ok....more

Personally I recommend going into this book blind (without reading the book description aka the blurb
The plot Going into this book I thought that It would be this romance between a vampire and a teenage girl, kind of like The Vampire Diaries, IT WAS NOT. But I'm honestly not complaining since I really enjoyed the plot of this book and how it wasn't that predictable since it kept switching between POVs and timelines. This book isn't exactly a romance book but a book about a teenage girl in foster care and a boy from the 19th century who end up meeting. It does take a while to understand what is happening since, again, it switches between the two's POVs and their timelines but, when they do, It is both cute and hilarious. [image]
The Characters Madison Madison's character was written amazingly! She acted like this rebellious teen but this act was solemnly to protect herself and her younger brother from any harm and from their foster parents. It was very obvious that she was just a scarred girl who wanted the best upbringing for her younger brother whom she believed was her only family. Her foster family made me so freaking mad!!! [image]
The both made me go absolutely feral but their characters just reflect true foster care and why a handful of people do it which shouldn't be acceptable .
Alexandre Alexandre is a teenage boy from 1881 and when he causes a bit of an issue which goes against the social rules at a ball, he is forced to travel with his parents to Turkey. Since the two characters were speaking in completely different timelines (LIKE COMPLETELY) 1881 and the present, it was a bit confusing on how the two would cross passes since it takes about 75% of the book to get to the main plot. Even though it takes a while to understand, I was entertained with them switching POVs. I must say that I did imagine Alexandre as someone with old money vibes which I do like. [image]

This book starts off when Chloe, a young woman ends up in a very small but loving town called Fantasie with her wonderful purple truck which she hopes she can turn into a taco truck soon! When she parks her truck in a reserved parking spot and refuses to remove it until the next few days, Lucas Donavan threatens to tow her truck. When ignoring him starts to be impossible since not only is she staying at his mother's inn but half of the town's population are his relatives, they are automatically pushed together. Her plans for the future are foggy but staying in Fantasie and settling down are definitely not on her list.
The Plot
✔Small Town Romance ✔Forced Proximity ✔Found Family ✔Enemies to Lovers ✔He Fell First ✔Opposites Attract ✔City Girl x Small Town Boy ✔Grumpy x Sunshine
This book was very light and quick to get through and I enjoyed that. I loved the entire concept of the taco truck and I really enjoyed how the DeMaggio family just kept multiplying every chapter. The found family trope in this book was adorable and I liked how Chloe found friendship and was accepted by a whole time even when doubting herself.
The Characters Chloe I really enjoyed Chloe's character. She was funny and very sassy but overall she was really nice to everyone in the town so I felt very connected to her character and overall she had been through so much before going to Fantasie and I liked that she was independent in that way and wanted to continue being an independent woman in a town where she knew no one. [image]
Lucas I'm going to be completely honest!!! I did not like Lucas in the first few parts of the book. He kept looking at her with ya know ya know in his head but then I felt like he warmed up to an actual idea of being with her. Him being described as a "family guy" was really nice in this book and how he kept going with his father's legacy. I love how he acted like a grouch with the other characters but was trying to cover up his true feeling of kindness and I found that really cute.
I definitely want a book for Josie and Finn and I would absolutely love to read their book because every time they were in the same chapter together, I was eating up their bickering every. Single. Time. [image]
My mind when she got a concussion: [image]
When they're opposites in every single way, even their taco tastes: [image]

First of all, I want to thank the author and NetGalley for providing me an arc of this book. I really wanted to enjoy this since it was a very short book about valentines day but, for some reason, this book didn't really fit with me.
The Plot The book itself isn't that memorable and I can't remember one of their names but the beginning of the book did intrigue me! The fact that this was going to be fake dating was very interesting but only a day or two after they started, she fell in love with him with no explanation so I HATED the insta- love in this. I still can't accept that she "liked him" because from whatever I read, it was pure lust that she had, saying how the only thing she could imagine a few minutes after saying she "liked him" was sleeping with him and well... other things. [image]
The Characters Helen I did not like Helen whatsoever. Her character was really flat to me and I feel like she "fell in love" with him only because she hadn't dated someone for a while and he was showing some signs of real affection ...more
