The John letters were some of the hardest material I have ever gone through, so her verse by verse approach was useful in figuring out the reasoning. I found these books to be very relevant for today, as they dealt with what truth is, now to discern truth in a changing culture, and of course, what love, real love, is. I gave it 3 stars due to some weeks being a bit tedious. As an extra, there are a lot of fun recipes to try....more

This was my first Jennie Allen, and it was a refreshing change from the Beth Moore studies. Actual scripture study was not a lot and not in depth. She makes a couple of small points, but the majority of work is done by piecing together your own life. This took more time than I thought it would.
