Every part of that description is right up my alley, and yet... It definitely felt more junior than youth. The characters all have cheese-related names (ironic considering the animal rights/anti-fur message in the book). And the princess in a castle vibe, especially with the cheesy names...
I got about 2/3 through the book before quitting. Although the Princess and the woman dressed as a man both admit having feelings for each other, we hadn't even kissed yet! I feel like I was reading a picture book introducing the idea of variant genders and sexual attractions to children....more
