I have always supported trans* rights, but have never really felt that I really understood the issue. Maia is so honest in this autobiographical GNF, about things that not many people would be willing to admit and share with the public. That honesty is really what makes this book special, and so relatable (also makes it rather graphic as e shares sexual experiences and fantasies). I image that reading this as someone who is questioning their gender, it must feel so reassuring to have someone as mature and confident as Maia help to explore the issue. I also love the use of e/em/eir pronouns rather than they/them that we so often see....more
