Me gustó la forma de escribir de la autora, es sencilla y es capaz de tratar de manera divertida temas serios. La historia pareciera que le da vueltas a lo mismo sin una verdadera explicación, aunque personalmente creo que hay cosas en la vida que se viven así precisamente, les damos vueltas y vueltas y no hemos llegado todavía auna explicación, si es que existe. Definitivamente el tema del suicidio plantea muchas reflexiones, preguntas, alternativas, juicios y opiniones, pero sobre todo despierta una necesidad por entender las razones de que una persona, en este caso Elf, ya no desee vivir. En esta historia eso no se explica, pero tampoco se explica cómo alguien como Yolis, con una vida por demás contrastante con la de su hermana no tiene esos pensamientos suicidas. ¿Qué hace que una persona quiera o no vivir?, ¿qué activa el sentido de supervivencia?, ¿quién o de qué forma se validan las razones para terminar con nuestra vida?, ¿debería ser un derecho el decidir cuándo terminar con nuestras vidas? Muchas, michas preguntas y lejos de ofrecer respuestas, este libro solo ofrece la oportunidad de reflexionar al respecto. En la última parte del libro disfruté mucho el capítulo de cómo Yolis sí o sí defendió su papel representando a la hermana de la virgen María y por lo tanto tía del niño Jesús en la pastorela escolar. Es precisamente otro tema interesante de esta historia, la relación fraternal entre Elf y Yolis, este tema sí que lo disfruté mucho....more

En algún punto casi al final Dahlia escribe algo sobre callar y escuchar para aprender y que leer es como escuchar. Justo me siento así respecto a los planteamientos que hace sobre ciertos temas como el borrado de las mujeres y la prostitución, siento que necesito leer mucho más. Rescato muchísimo la diferencia entre opresión y discriminación y la de hablar de matriz de opresiones en lugar de solo hablar de patriarcado....more
