1 star in any case. I'm sorry, Dai, if you read this review. I really tried.
Too early to dnf you might say, but I just couldn't stand it.
There might be some spoilers, be careful!
This book, at least what I read so far, didn't make any sense. At all. Nada.
I honestly thought Scarlett and Julian were annoying with their insta-love, but Tella and her reckless decisions of "I don't like Dante, but I must protect him because there's something about him that... Uhm, I like."
Tella, just shut the fuck up. Like, for real. You're even more annoying that your sister, and I really thought that Scarlett was annoying. This is another whole level. She's flat, has no personality and is always making the dumbest decisions.
I tried so hard to not dnf this since the beginning... But ta-da! Here we are.
So bold of Tella asume that every single and fucking time, Scarlett would forgive her whenever she left her or lied to her. Just because are sisters. Oh, wow.
For some reason, the fact that Tella couldn't resist a challenge or a bet and yeet herself into danger, made me dislike her even more. It's like, yes, clever and brave girls, I fucking support you. But this was Tella's only trait.
Jacks was okay? I didn't get a lot of him, and I would've liked to know more about him, but if I read another chapter of nonesenses, I was gonna gouge my eyes off my face and scream of frustration. Also, off topic, but I'm always falling for the blond arrogant-charismatic and cute guy (ex. Nikolai Lantsov, Matthias Helvar, Finnick Odair and now Jacks) and uhm, I see a pattern here.
Anyhow, it was a big ass disappointment because it seems to me that all the "magic" that I saw in Caraval is gone now. Yes, yes, yes, perhaps if I would've finished it I would've seen it, but no. I couldn't.
I also felt that Garber's writing in here wasn't like in Caraval; I felt it dry and I was starting to hate the color descriptions. I fucking hate the word "periwinkle" now.
The setting, some descriptions, the timing and the characters felt off to me now.
i alSO FUCKING KNOW WHO'S DANTE. THE FUCK. THIS WASN'T THAT HARD!!!
I would rant more, but meh.

191.
That's the amount of times that the words "blinked" and "blinking" are repeated throughout the entire fucking book. So you can see hOW FUCKING TIRED I WAS OF SEEING THOSE WORDS. MY EYES GREW TIRED OF ROLLING THEM EVERY SECOND I READ IT.
This is my first —and surely last— book of Mariana Zapata, as you can see.
I dnfed it at 80%. But why, Ale? You were almost over. Yes. I've been wanting to dnf this book since the first 100 pages, when anything relevant was happening.
Sigh. What can I say?
I'm disappointed, even when I shouldn't because I told myself to not to have high expectations just because of the hype... See? I never learn. And probably I never will.
So, let's go to the point.
As with many books, I get surprised when I rate popular books with 1 or 2 stars because I wonder "there's something wrong with me? (there is, many things actually, but that's a storytime for another day)" or if i'm a coldhearted bitch? (but oh, i am, lol). But we all have our opinions and I don't blame y'all for liking/loving this book. Actually, I tried to like it, but unfortunately, I just couldn't.
I always value a good character development, and Jasmine's was 50/50, only if her inner long—ass monologue wouldn't have been tiring and repetitive. I understood part of her struggles, but like a 10% of it. And that's it. The rest it's just her being a whiny bitch. I wish she wasn't the most annoying bitch ever.
Ivan was fine??? I guess??? Yes, you had me screaming, crying, throwing up and drooling over him, but there were many times when I wanted to smack him in the face. Also, he's almost 30 but acts and speaks like a 17 y/o boy, and so is Jasmine. Both are really immature that at some point, you forget that they're 26 and 30 and think that they're actually 17.
I personally didn't like the writing. It felt... dry and rigid. Repetitive and dull. I like figure skating (it's the main reason why I picked up this book in first place) but the long—ass explanations of pages about that were... Unnecessary? I honestly don't know how to describe it.
This book was SO SO SO long for no reason. Almost 500 pages and honestly nothing exciting was happening.
It was supposed to be a "slow burn" but the only burn was the pacing of the time: it jumped between seasons and some things didn't even make sense at the end of some chapters. Like, girl, I wanted to know more about certain moments. I just don't know why but some chapters felt off... I can't even say I felt it like a book focussed on romance bc I'm pretty sure it was more focussed on their relationship as partners, friends and then becoming best friends, anD THEN WHEN I WAS THINKING "HERE SHE'LL REALIZE" SHE DIDN'T AND IT PISSED ME OFF.
Also, it was Ivan who showed up more feelings than Jasmine. She was just leaning on Ivan and that was it. Beside of the trust issues, she was very flat on that aspect, too.
It was waaaaaaaaay beyond slow burn.
For what I've read in other reviews, we have the "romance" about the 98% of the book and... girl, pls, no.
I guess this book was not for me, lol.
Repetitive, dull, dry and rigid. That's how I'd define this book.
Didn't feel the hype.

After giving The Atlas Six another try, I realized that I can't make it beyond the 100 pages, that I can't stand any of the characters, thaDNF @ p.100
After giving The Atlas Six another try, I realized that I can't make it beyond the 100 pages, that I can't stand any of the characters, that I won't read it (or enjoy it, for the case) and there are tons of actually good books out there waiting for me to discover them.
I'm glad I don't have Tiktok anymore (because I spend more time there than actually reading and nope) to see the hype and try to read it, lmao.
This book goes straight to my big hype, big lie shelf.
Look, I really tried. The premise was promising so I said, "why not? I haven't read many good dark academia books" and precisely that was a mistake.
The characters were unbearable, arrogant and flat. Yes, you heard/read me. They don't have personality beyond of try to impress everybody with... what? I didn't actually see what they can do. They're just a bunch of brat and stupid kids who think they can have whatever they want and not face the consequences.
I spoiled myself the book and it was... Great. I mean, I didn't know what to expect but the so called spoilers made me dislike this book more than the beginning. On my previous updates, I kinda forced myself to like it??? Callum and Parisa were assholes to me; I hated them since the very first moment. Libby was an annoying bitch and Nico was fine but even he was annoying to me.
If you liked this book, good 4 u. I couldn't even force myself to read it anymore. I can't give it another try when I know I dislike the characters and don't give a shit about them. I don't care for them. At all. This book it is supposed to be character driven, right? Well, you might say that in the first 100 pages it's impossible to know it, but you can. 100 pages of pure suffering and hell was what I was given with TAS.
I read a review of someone saying "Read Vicious for a well character driven book" and hell yes. Vicious is way better.
In any case, I won't give this book another try. No, I'm not sorry. I'm tired, haha....more

15 y/o me would have loved this book, she would. You know, I'll create a new shelf specifically for old dnf @ p. 127.
Yeah, well, you know how is this.
15 y/o me would have loved this book, she would. You know, I'll create a new shelf specifically for old YA books of 2012 that back in then I'd have probably loved, or at least liked, to put in there this kind of disappointments, ok? I need name suggestions because my last braincell just died trying to finish this book.
So, we have Juliette, a girl who can kill or torture people with her touch. She killed someone before and for that, she was sent to an asylum. She has a new cell partner, Juliette hasn't touched anybody in 3 years, or talked with somebody in that time. And she thinks she knows her partner: a guy named Adam. And, oh, she does: he was her classmate in third grade, but he doesn't remember her.
In within a couple weeks, Juliette falls for Adam. She recognizes her blue eyes, and she describes them in several ways that made me realize that that kind of blue is now tattooed on my brain. Suddenly, some armed guys take Juliette and Adam out of the asylum and take them to a thing called The Reestablishment, that took everything from her, yada, yada, yada.
And turns out that, oh wow!, Adam is a soldier and lied to her (in what? idk, y'all, because he didn't talk to her a lot in those two weeks), and betrayed her (betrayed you how? You two only met for a couple of weeks and you barely talked to him). Now, this new guy appears: Warner. He wants Juliette on his team for torture rebels and that shit :D
Writing. The writing was ok? I guess? I don't know, man. Some metaphors were cool, but others were exaggerated. The pacing was ok for a YA dystopian book, idk, the metaphors were taking away everything logical here. I mean, it wasn't bad to hate it, but I was getting confused sometimes. For me, a Spanish native speaker, the pacing, the writing and the level of English was cool and understandable.
But, the famous but, the thing with the numbers got me spending more braincells that I can usually afford. There's a reason why I'm a lit student and I quit math and numbers a long time ago. I also noted that there's a lot of striked lines and words repeated 3 times times times, which got me confused, and tired.
Worldbuilding Uhm, this sucked. Juliette only described two places. The asylum (and barely, bc she only described her cell) and the famous Reestablishment, but even like that, it wasn't described at all. It was poor. The sky is grey, but, isn't like that when it's rainy?
Here: a pic of grey sky that I took of the back of my house, lmao. Please, ignore the bad quality that GR added to it.
Characters. I must admit that Juliette's trauma was well protrayed, it was ok and tolerable. But then.... she fell in love. Sometimes, I get upset and pissed off because she was annoying as hell. But, I don't blame her or the author: that book was written back in 2011 I guess, so, it was normal that female MC's in those books were annoying to the point that you wanted to throw them a shoe. Also, hun, you should have killed Warner when he asked you to touch him. Get rid of that asshole. EVEN IF I KNOW THAT THEY'RE ENDGAME, LMAO.
Also, Juliette says in a part: I'd like to cry into his eyes. hOW, ON EARTH, ARE YOU GONNA DO THAT????
Adam is so bland and boring. And oh, plot twist, he does remember Juliette. Oh, wow, you didn't see that coming? (As a hard Pietro Maximoff fan, that line hurts so bad, please, don't touch me). And he wants to run away with her. He wasn't interesting at all. He was the only nice kid with Juliette, but they never talked, lmao.
The famous Aaron Warner. Well, what do you want me to say? He's a fucking dick. Those 4 words resume my feelings toward him. I hate whenever he calls Juliette love just hit him with a rock. And the only smart braincell of Juliette finally says something logical.
"I'd really rather die than eat your food and listen to you call me love"
Finally, some guts.
Warner is a psycho killer with daddy issues and feels like he's some sorta god or what I know, but he's just an annoying ass who should ✨fuck✨off✨. Juliette asks him why he's being nice to her... Honey, he's not. He just wants something from you: your power. Have a little bit of self love. He's also a stalker and a creepy guy.
"I know everything about you, love". He grins. "I've wanted you for a very long time. I've waited forever for you to be ready. I'm not going to let you go so easily."
"You should be thanking me."
Yes, Warner, ✨fuck✨you✨.
Juliette saying that she wants to crush Warner's spine is a GREAT MOOD.
People kept saying to me that I was going to love him on the novella about him, but if I dnf this book, I'd hardly read the next ones, or the novellas.
My big ass question for the Warner fans are: how can you love him? He's a dick 90% of the time and a psycho the other 10%. Does he get over his daddy issues and goes to therapy? Because if he does, that would be a very good first step.
The only nice quote that I liked it was this:
"I am a being comprised of letters, a character created by sentences, a figment of imagination formed through fiction."
Look, if you liked Shatter me book and series, it's fine. I'm actually glad that people enjoyed this while I was trying to figure it out if the problem is not me or what. If you also loved Warner, it's ok, I get it. Perhaps he changes and become something good. For those who liked, loved and enjoyed Shatter me: I admire you because it's something that seems pretty far away from me, impossible is more accurate.
I should stop reading hyped books of 2012 because they're not for me anymore. Once more, back in that year, I'd loved them, but now, I feel really old to read 2012 dystopian YA books with annoying MC's and really weird love interests.
"The sky is raining bricks into my skull."
Cool, I wanna throw one at her.
Yeah, sorry not sorry, guys.
See ya in the next chapter of big hype big lie. Stay tuned....more

Well, this was a mess. I mean, I've just read 15 chapters and I'm already cringing.
My mood was like [image]
In summary, Taylor is the new girl in an island (i forgot the island's name). She went to live with her fater, her mom died six months ago and she has to spend her senior year living with her lovely father, and oh, with Taylor's bitchy stepmom and her spoiled stepsister. On her first day in the island, Taylor stares like an idiot to this gazillionare (I didn't even know that this word existed tbh) guy who is "really hot" and has a boat.
Taylor has no personality. I mean it. She's like the good flat girl who thinks she's flawless. Also, we have no physical description of her, not even when Taylor's looking herself in the mirror, but in the cover, she's blonde, just like her stepmom and stepsister. Taylor's mom died of an overdose and moved on with her dad. Her stepmom, Becky, hates her and you can really see it from the beginning; Taylor insinuates that Becky and Amelia (her stepsister) are jealous that Taylor's father, Kyle, loves Taylor more than Becky and Amelia.
Becky and Amelia are superficial af. I mean, Taylor describes them as the typical 'blonde tan bitch' who drinks martinis, wine, scroll down her phone 24/7, has expensive clothes than wears only one time (how, in the name of the gods, can people do that? I'm poor af and I'm used to wear the same clothes for years perhaps), has this big ass mansion, a good car, a club with other rich and drunk women, yada, yada, yada. Becky criticizes Taylor a lot, she says mean stuff about Taylor and Taylor acts like "well, yeah, it hurts, but I can't do anything because I'm her guest and I won't tell daddy because they will fight for me and I don't want that either". I mean, girl, stand up and defend yourself; you're so fucking bland. Becky and Amelia only exist in order to make our speshul girl look like she's a heroin (which she's not), and an innocent girl.
As a normal YA father, Kyle is not present so much in this book. I mean, he only appears when Becky is in scene or to apologize for "not being a good father", for not being with her before when her mom was getting high and all that stuff.
James is a creepy old guy. I mean, in the cover of the other two books, James looks like he's 30 years old, and not 21. I mean, he's inmortal and has like 200 years (again, the tiring trope of the +100 years old guy with the 17 years old girl), and falls for Taylor within 10 days. Just like Taylor, James has no description beyond the blue-gray eyes and square jaw *rolls eyes*. He's weird as fuck and he does more weird stuff. He's gazillionare, has like 10 houses, 100 boats and who knows what else more.
The pacing was really slow and maybe that's what made me dnf this book. Or perhaps the fact that looked like a version of Twilight in 2020.
Taylor, Bella, Mary Sue, is obsessed with James, Edward, and I have some evidence.
"I inhaled the scent of Jame's blue T-shirt again and decided not to wash it."
And then, she pretends like she's not obsessed with James.
"I just... want to know about him. I don't remember ever hearing about him before." I tried to sound neutral, not obsessed."
And, I don't know, this was like ???? to me, because they've just had two days of meeting each other, but
"When he smiled at me, it was like the sun coming out."
ALSO, WE HAVE A FEMINIST JAMES.
"Here's a little wisdom for you. I think people —men, in particular— should stop telling women what to do."
Then, Taylor hears the doorbell ringing, but, surprise! There's no one outside, and suddenly:
"Taylor". James was suddenly right next to me, gripping my hands."
And moments later.
"James was outside the house; my dad was inside. Both of them would look out of me."
Now, 3 days after met, James goes with this:
"Ah, that's my girl." His dimple peeped out. "I love a woman who knows her boats."
"It was meant to be, Taylor."
In her job, Taylor does nothing else but trying to not to look her drinks and spill them off her tray, which makes me bored, yikes.
Well, this was boring, I must admit it. I thought it was going to be a fast pacing, but no. It was more Becky and Amelia talking about Taylor at "her back", and plot twist, Taylor was listening and feeling like crap, but everytime James appeared, the feeling was gone.
Some sort of Twilight, but the werewolves were missing.
Also, fall in love within ten days (I guess, lmao)????????????
Yeah, I will not bother myself reading the other books, yikes. I said I was in the mood for something bad like this, but this book was beyond that.

First of all, no, I didn't finish this book, even tho I really wished I would've loved to do it. So, it's not gonna be a review of all. I must admit that after I decided to dnf it, I read Pelumi and Tea's review of this book as well.
Second, I blame my current reading slump and the uni for not let me finish this book as I should have done it before. Idk if in any other moment I would pick it up again and give it another try, or maybe I'll just let things like this because I'm a masochist, but even I know my boundaries (I feel cool using new words from my dictionary, jsjsjs).
The pacing to me was very slow and boring at some parts. The characters were flat and the "plot" was ??? Don't get me wrong, I was like "yai, it looks awesome" but then I got lost in the way. Again, I blame uni and the reading slump for this. The characters were flat and have no personality at all.
I just realized something. Avenna's name. If we take out one 'n', we have left Avena, is the Spanish word for oatmeal, yeah, I'm this weird for things, lmao.
The worldbulding was very inconsistent to me, idk if in the second book this will be better explained than here, and let's hope so (if I ever decide to pick it up again).
Honestly, I don't have a lot to say since I didn't make it to the 50% of the book (perhaps, I would have much to say there), but I didn't like it 'til the part I made it, so, yikes.
Also, Tea made up a good question: who is the asexual character?
It does appear in the book? Anyhow, probably someday I'll know it. But right now, Imma leave it right here.

Y'all know that I can't fucking stand Katy and Daemon: they're just fucking assholes who are annoying as hell and FINALLY are together, but they're annoying₂ and that makes me insane. Really, I was about to puke because their "love" is wonderful, true and now they're a couple. Bruh, this reminded me how much I hated From Blood and Ash because of course you know that they're endgame.
Anyhow, I'm glad that Dee doesn't want to talk with Katy, because actually, she deserves it. What happened to Adam (I guess that was his name, I don't even remember) is COMPLETELY her fault because Katy thought she was invencible and didn't need anybody. Guess what, sis? You're wrong and proves that everyone is in danger because of her.
Blake appeared. Oh, yaaaai, he's the new hero, or it was villain? idk, he's just irrelevant and annoying, liKE EVERYONE IN THIS DAMN BOOK.
This is a little reminder to myself that I won't ready any other of JLA. Hell no. I'll save myself from another cringey moments.

I said I was going to finish this book, but I've already self-inflicted so much pain on myself for so long that is enough. Like I said: this is the laI said I was going to finish this book, but I've already self-inflicted so much pain on myself for so long that is enough. Like I said: this is the last book in this series that I will read. Nothing can convince me anymore that this will get better or that there will be good plot twists; I can even guess what will happen in some chapters.
In this book, Mary Sue (Luce) travels back in time through the Annunciators, to learn more about her ✨incredible love story with the oh-so-irresistible-and-gorgeous-Daniel,✨ who is ✨the love of her life.✨ And Daniel follows her, though she doesn't know it.
The very idea of time travel is great... Sadly, Lauren Kate developed it lousy, and confusingly too. This is more like a cat and mouse game, but it's two idiots playing it. Daniel arrives just as Luce is gone and has screwed up the timeline and her past self.
This time, we have two points of view: Luce's and Daniel's, which is quite ridiculous and Daniel having a point of view adds nothing to the plot. You might as well remove his parts and it wouldn't affect the book. Why? Because Daniel is supposed to be reliving his memories (not past lives because let's remember he's an old immortal of over two thousand years of miserable living) and wants to find Luce. For the first time in centuries, there is a hope of breaking the curse that prevents Luce and Daniel from having a lasting love. The most ridiculous thing about all this is that Daniel raises certain doubts in the reader, but does not resolve them, but attributes them to fate, and that's as far as it goes. He does not go deeper into the subject and leaves the reader with more doubts than at the beginning.
Luce's past selves are just as imbecilic as the Luce of the present. The one from the Victorian era is the one that stands out for being a bitch. But nonetheless, they all fall in love with Daniel and my question is, how, does Daniel seek her out in every life? And if so, how does he know where she'll be now? Does this mean he's a stalker like Edward Cullen? I wouldn't be surprised if it does. This series already proved to be a Twilight 2.0.
I find it morbid to think that Daniel has met Luce when she was little and they've even interacted (in the Russian version of Luce's past life, the first one she meets), and he immediately knows who she is and that she's going to fall in love with him. It's disappointing that they know they are ✨destined✨to✨be✨together✨, because I was expecting more development on the part of their "relationship" or "love", but no: since we already know they are destined, and that they are "soul mates", we just expect them to love each other and promise to be together once and for all. Luce brags about how her love is true, but we don't have the scenes where she meets Daniel once and already assumes that her love is true; and then, when she dies burned by that same love... Cookie, get yourself a love that doesn't make you explode like fireworks and isn't toxic. You will be doing us all, and yourself most of all, a huge favor if you leave Daniel Grigori and live a full and long life, not just 16/17 years. Re-evaluate your life and ask yourself if Daniel and his love are really worth burning you alive after a real kiss. I don't think so.
I still don't understand what the exact point of this book is, there are too many questions that are raised, but not answered; and to some extent, that's annoying. Also, it's predictable who Bill might be and what his purpose is in the book. Definitely lame.
So, this is a big nope from me. I'm truly disappointed.
Edit: oH, WAIT A MINUTE. I FORGOT SOMETHING.
There's a part where it says that Daniel (a +2000 y/o man, please, NEVER forget it) used to watch Luce sleep. Edward Cullen?? Anyone?? THIS IS CREEPY AS FUCK!...more

Our speshul girl has these awesome powers that basically turn her into a Mary Sue: she's amazing, she's sassy and it's totally ok that she's a bitch with everyone because she's horny and she's gonna save the world from the gods.
Oh, fuck no.
What the hell was this? Cass is a fucking bitch with everyone, and a little brat. She thinks that the entire world will knee to her, that she is some sort of queen and that everything that she does has no consequences. "She doesn't know her power."

well, that was... disappointing.
I could have easily finished this book, but I didn't want to anymore.
I was really excited and hyped for this one because I waited for it an entire year and I thought it was gonna be something different to the other 3 books, but nope. You can see on my updates that I was crying and screaming of the emotion, but then... well, it flopped.
In some way, I was reading an acotar fic and ew, I'm avoiding all the acotar/tog related things that I can.
Lazarus was really stupid, but had some guts. However, she didn't have much personality and her only traits were Ben, fuck with Thanatos and complain. And Thanatos/Death only traits were being really horny, kill people and being naive.
About the 30% of the book, I was already predicting the things that were gonna happen and I was right in most of them. I wish I could say I didn't, but I did. This book turn out to be repetitive and boring at some point.
There was no worldbuilding whatsoever beside of the poor description of the lonely towns and all the dead people.... Something that we see over and over and over in the first 3 books... ??
The smut parts were a little bit overwhelming, and even more when there's a part where Lazarus and Death are fucking and she's like "well, that's too much for today" and he's like "nope, it's not. let's keep doing this", totally ignoring her and it's ok because she's having an orgasm and it's great because he's causing it. No, please. Fucking. Consent. She said it was enough. Also, the thing of sex in the sky was pretty weird, lol.
The "baby" plot was really ????? I don't know if it's because I hate kids (don't blame me, I grew up with kids and that's why I don't like them, lmao) or because I see these girls as 19/20 yo girls and not like 24/25 women... Idk, bruh, but I didn't like it at all.
A cool thing was that Pestilence, War and Famine showed up. I was kind of missing them, and Famine and his rage were really funny... Tho I know how the thing's gonna end up: Death realizing that humanity is worth it, the typical "to live is love, ho ho ho, merry xmas, y'all" shit and he's gonna stop killing people... And they're gonna live happily ever after, with animals doing some chores, taking care of the kids, all of the horseman and their wives living in the farm and the humanity recovering...
I just... Don't. Please. Humanity isn't worth it, lmao.
Also, the fact that Lazarus couldn't die was cool, but it wasn't explained. Like, what's the purpose to make her "immortal" if you're not gonna explain it? I need answers, no more unanswered questions, thanks.
It's sad that I don't finish this book because was one of my most anticipated books of 2021 and I'm pissed off, but oh well.
Everything turned out repetitive and boring, nothing different of the rest of the books, aND THIS MAKES ME SAD....more
I loved Addie LaRue with my entire life and Schwab's writing is so beautiful, but for some reason, I can't connect wDNF @ p.160
I tried. I swear I did.
I loved Addie LaRue with my entire life and Schwab's writing is so beautiful, but for some reason, I can't connect with this book. I don't actually know if it's the story itself, or the characters. Or perhaps it's me.
No, wait. The story it's good, intriguing and I was wondering a lot about the monsters, so, strike that. The characters, perhaps? Kate was meh, kind of bitchy and I didn't like her a lot. August felt like a ghost to me. Literally. He was here but he wasn't and I got kind of confused.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying this book is bad or something like that. I actually liked some elements and details, and the fucking writing is gorgeous. I'm obsessed with Victoria's writing style; that's how you tell a story. Unfortunately, this will be a dnf to me, and it makes me really sad because I really wanted to like this book.
I was eager to read This Savage Song for the mere fact that it's written by my powerful queen.
I feel sad. :( Perhaps another day I will pick it up again and give it another try.
I'm giving it 3 stars because the idea and the story are amazing, but here I will apply the "it's not you, it's me."...more
I don't actually know where to start, so, I'm going to say the things that i liked of this book.
Some things of the plots were dnf @75%
3 stars anyways.

Some things of the plots were fine to me: the Bone Crier's background (although, there was something missing to me). The fact that animal's bones gave them powers and that kind of stuff. Some French settings and that of lead the dead people... Sorry, I don't remember so much bc most part of the plots were boring as hell and I was about to cry. Sabine. She is my queen. She is the only one who has a great development. She's strong as hell and I truly loved her. Marcel is such a baby and I must protect.
I didn't like the insta-love thing and I must admit that I was caught by the cover of this book, but If I'm honest, it didn't convince me at all. I hated Jules the entire book, she was mean with Ailesse the whole time: I wanted to kick her.
3 POVS were actually overwhelming and unnecessary, to me. I didn't care for Ailesse or Bastien like it was supossed to.
I don't think I'd give it a second chance. Nope....more
