Sweetest Taboo

Rate this book
All eyes are on us . . . and there’s nowhere to run.

Everyone has their own ideas about Dallas Sykes: He’s a reckless billionaire, a devilish playboy, a man who gets whatever he wants the minute he wants it. But I know the real Dallas behind the money, bravado, and power—and he’s completely, blissfully mine.

We carefully guarded our secrets, and in each other’s arms we sought refuge from our dark past. Our pain became our pleasure, our control within the chaos. But we could only hide from the truth for so long.

Now we’ve let loose our inhibitions and are ready to face the future. And no matter what people think or say, coming clean is its own sweet reward.

WARNING: This book will ruin your manicure! Suspenseful, sexy and satisfying, Sweetest Taboo is everything you need and more.

Kenner takes us on a winding tale of love, lust, deceit and vengeance as these two forbidden lovers try to find their way to forever. The passion is off-the-charts! The emotion and suspense will keep you hanging on and praying for Dallas and Jane.

Dallas. Oh, Dallas. You, like all Kenner’s other men, are irresistible. Pulling my eyes away from my kindle was pure torture. Protective, dominant and devoted, Dallas will bring you to your knees and keep your heart captured.

5 Terrifically Taboo Stars!

I so enjoy the writing of J. Kenner. I have loved each of the books in this series and was so looking forward to the ending. Sweetest Taboo brings us the final installment to this taboo story that is so flipping hot.

J. Kenner makes it easy to get sucked into this steaming story. With plenty of hot sex, a bit of suspense, and characters that are full of angst and torturous feelings that get you in the gut. But the ending heals all and leaves you with a satisfying sigh.

The S.I.N. series is flipping hot and so naughty in every way. Make sure to start from book one to get the whole effect.

We're finally back with Jane & Dallas.
But we're also sad that it's the final book in the series! ☹

The last book ended with Jane running out on Dallas after he told her about her birth father Colin being involved in their kidnapping. And while she was running around on the streets THE WOMAN took her - again!
Dallas almost went insane, thinking he lost her - again.
But thank god they let her go right away. With a warning that Dallas does not belong to Jane, but to HER. The Woman. The psycho bi**h from their cell from almost 18 years ago.

Now we have to find out who she is, to stop her from taking & killing Jane.
First stop: Colin. He was involved, he has to know something.

Next to all that stress about The Woman, there's also the tiny little fact that Jane and Dallas are now 'out' as a couple to the public. And it's slightly illegal to have a sexual relationship with a sibling!
But there's a solution for everything and Dallas swears he will find it!

"You were my dirtiest secret, down there in the dark where nobody knew."
"But they do know. So what does that make me?"
"Now you're my sweetest taboo."

Lots of suspensy and exciting and moving and very sexy moments until our darlings might see their Happily Ever After on the horzion.....

What will happen with Dallas & Jane?
Will there finally be a HEA?
Will everybody survive this last booK??

"Sometimes the strong don't win."

Holy Hotness Batman! The chemistry between Dallas & Jane is spine tingling. Their childhood experiences, along with a shared traumatic event has colored their future and created a bond that can't be broken. It has made them stronger, but maybe not strong enough. With so many negatives coming at them from every direction, can they still find a positive in their fight to be together. Will the media ever find another scandal to cover and leave them alone? Will they ever gain the support of their parents? Is love enough to withstand the trials they are suffering to be together? "We've been forged in the fire, and we've come out stronger." Yes, that's true. But they are broken too...

The S.I.N. series has been a wild ride that I'm very sad to see come to an end. While I've been anxious to have my questions answered, I did not want to say goodbye to the characters that I've grown to love. I've been their behind the scenes cheering squad, having their backs in the face of those that would attack them. I've also been taking notes in the bedroom, out of sight of course. I think I need to read a few scenes a few more times, just to make sure I didn't miss anything...sigh. This amazing couple has been through hell, and came out the other side in pieces. The only one that seems to be able to put them back together again, is each other. Their shared experiences give them an unspoken understanding that nobody else gets. Their connection has withstood the test of time, and seems to only grow stronger in spite of those trying so hard to break it. And let me tell you, there are many trying to break them up. This last installment in the series ties up all the loose ends in a spectacular way that had me holding my breath and afraid to turn the next page, but unable to stop myself from doing so. The suspense is intense and the players are dedicated, on both sides. It was a nail biting experience as I waited to see who would be left standing when the dust settled. J. Kenner never disappoints, so I'll be waiting for her next masterpiece, she's on my auto-click list.

Sweetest Taboo is the culmination of Dallas Sykes and Jane Martin’s story. It’s a rollercoaster ride of thrills and chills that provides a full range of emotions.

And despite the taboo, those binds between us don’t feel like chains, but like a gift.

A gift. That’s what J. Kenner’s writing is. She’s an expert at weaving a tale of mystery and love that keeps you on your toes from the beginning.

“That’s the thing about monsters, Dallas. They don’t just hide under children’s beds and in dark closets. They hide right in front of us. That’s what makes them so damn scary.”

—Isn’t this the damn truth! Monsters aren’t what we learn about as children. They aren’t just ghosts and goblins. They’re the memories that play on a reel in our heads after they visit us in real life. They hide in plain sight, lurking around every corner, just waiting for the perfect time to attack.

Because the pain means that I’m here.
The pain means that I’m alive.
And I never feel more alive than in Dallas’s arms.

Pain. Pain tells us that were are still alive, that we're are living and feeling. It’s not always a bad thing. In my mind it’s where the most growth happens. It’s where we find our bottom and learn to move forward.

“Now you’re my sweetest taboo.”

The biggest lesson I learned from Sweetest Taboo is that what’s right for one may not be right for another. It may be looked upon as dark, dirty or even sinful. But each person has their own story, their own journey to live. If we’re fortunate to find that other person to accept us, broken, scars and all, then we are blessed. Life is a journey. A journey that includes self exploration and acceptance. Dallas and Jane taught me that.

⇝My Thoughts⇜

I’ve said on my review for Hottest Mess, this should have been only one book or two at the most with a lot less sex. I feel that it’s perfectly okay to leave the reader with the impression that they had sex and not inundate a story with scene after scene of explicit sex. I would say they amount to at least 75% of the series as a whole. One word. Overkill. I did a lot of skimming.

Otherwise the story that we did get was a fairly exciting one. It was just a little difficult to get to. Everything involving Dallas and Jane’s kidnapping, was intriguing and kept me thinking…I had a feeling who it was since the second book…and I was right.
⇝Sex Factor⇜ If you like your books full of hot steamy sex and very little actual story, then this is your series.

All of the best love stories have one thing in common: You have to go against the odds to get there. Like the best love stories, books often go against the odds with the unexpected and exceed what we expected. Sweetest Taboo by J. Kenner EXCEEDED ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS.

I did not expect to become so engrossed and entangled in this steamy suspense…but oh was I tangled and twisted in every part of this thrilling tale! I did not expect to fall in insta-love with these characters who captivated me and coerced me into their story, but oh did I fall for them so hard! I did not expect to love the S.I.N trilogy by J. Kenner as much as the Stark series that is one of my all-time favorites…but oh did the Stark series meet its match in the S.I.N spin-off.

I wanted to take my time, but all I could do was DIG IN, devouring this scintillating and suspenseful story fast and furiously. All I could do was succumb to the seduction of Sweetest Taboo as I rushed to read this riveting roller coaster of a romance where the world closed around me, opening up to all things SIN. I tore through this story as the adrenaline from this thrilling tale coursed through this Sweetest Taboo straight to me.

The twists and turns.
The blazes and burns.
The thrills and chills.

I knew that this thrilling yet tender tale would dig itself deep in my heart, sending my feelings flying into one tornado of a tailspin. Sultry. Sinful. Scorching. Sweet. Sensations traveled through me at lightning speed. I was not prepared for Sweetest Taboo to sink into my soul.

Sweetest Taboo struck hard and fast. Dallas and Janes' relationship takes another tumble, its broken pieces that just became bound are splintering again.

“Remnants of fear cling to him like palpable things, but there is joy, too. And when he whispers my name, it’s like a lifeline pulling us back together, making me whole. Making us whole.”

I love a hard-fought love story and what Dallas and Jane have is worth the fight. These two broken souls are whole together as one.

“You’ve always taken care of me."

“I have and I always will.”.”

Dallas and Janes’ love is sweet, but their chemistry is combustible. So super scorching HOT. Dallas delivers the involuntary thigh clenches with mere words that melt me everywhere.

“Is this what you want? My mouth on your pussy? My tongue teasing your clit while I thrust my fingers deep inside you?"

Dallas’ words possessed me, lighting a fire that burned from head to toe where I melted like molten lava. I could not help but combust from the fire-hot words that raked over my body as if I were floating over hot coals. Oh Dallas...delicious and dirty-talking Dallas. This sweet and sexy man was my addiction.

“You’re mine, Jane…You were my dirtiest secret…now you’re my sweetest taboo.”

Just when Dallas and Jane are ready to throw caution to the wind and show the world that they are in love, deception and danger dangle like a creeper lurking in the shadows, threatening to strike. This strike may hit the hardest of all, hurting the most.

“Please, Dallas. Bring me back to life.”

I fell hard; I fell fast. My emotions dangled from the edge, hanging onto hope for a happy ending. I cried tears of heartbreak. Tears of hope. Tears of happiness. Sweetest Taboo broke me in the best way.

Sweetest Taboo was my addiction. My ache. My adrenaline. MY ALL. Sweetest Taboo twisted itself around every piece of me, quickly capturing me in its clutches. IT did not let go; I did not let go. I knew from the start that this story would break me, sending me on an emotional and adrenaline-filled adventure; that it did. I WAS ALL IN.

What began as the Dirtiest Secret became The Hottest Mess that ended as the Sweetest Taboo, the perfect S.I.N that’s sheer brilliance from beginning to end. Sweetest Taboo, like the rest of this series, is scorching, suspenseful, and scandalous...but so MUCH MORE. It’s a soul-searing story of strength, survival, and second-chance love. Sweetest Taboo seduced me—heart and soul—where I fell under this story's spell. I could not help but feel every word I read and live every part of this devastatingly beautiful book.

Watch out Stark series, you have some serious competition with S.I.N. J. Kenner ended this enthralling and explosive series perfectly, and oh how I was left panting for more. More forbidden tales of twists and turns that burned my body. More emotional-entwined stories that hit my heart hard. More wonderful writing that blew me away. Sweetest Taboo is not simply a story; it’s an enticing and enthralling escape from reality. I was not ready for this achingly-addicting adventure to be over.

The conclusion to Jane & Dallas’ story, it picks up right where bk 2 finished. You finally learn who were responsible for what happened to Jane & Dallas in the past as Jane and Dallas continue to strengthen their relationship regardless of all the other things in their way.

I’m a lil underwhelmed with this conclusion, unfortunately. For starter, for all the resources and talents of Dallas’ team, I didn’t feel they really did a good job. They may have always been like that from the beginning but it wasn’t until this 3rd book that I felt unimpressed. I felt like this time, I was being told rather than shown so that took away some of their credibility in my head.

The heat is still there between Dallas and Jane, but I felt less connected somewhat. And while the relationship did progress, it felt like I didn’t really learn anything new. I suppose the focus here really is getting answers and finally solving the “mystery” so that they can finally move on with their lives. And even that portion felt predictable. And predictable would’ve still been ok had I been emotionally vested, but I guess that was the missing part.

Be all that as it may, this may have just caught me at an off time. In the end, I was glad to see Jane and Dallas finally get their HEA. Dallas stayed delish right til the end with his hard but protective sweet side, and Jane showed enough sense and gumption to make her a worthy h. If you’re like me who’s started this series, you might as well finish, right? And like I said, get to their HEA, right? Right!!

This story was intense, emotional, and captivating. I was immediately pulled back in and on the edge of my seat. Great conclusion to the series!

I have been consumed by the SIN series from the beginning and completely fascinated by Dallas and Jane so I was excited to dive into Sweetest Taboo. These characters have an all consuming connection and passion. There is so much conflict and drama as Dallas and Jane navigate their way through their relationship and all the obstacles before them. There were so many outside pressures compounding in on them and I loved how they seek each other out as their safe place. It's extremely heated and passionate (these two don't lack chemistry that's for sure).

I had so much anticipation while reading because I wanted answers and to see if some of my predictions were correct. I would get so excited every time a new dot was connected and couldn't wait for Dallas and Jane to see it too. I can't say more without spoiling it but it had a very intense, raw and emotional vibe to me and I am extremely happy with the conclusion and how the storyline and their relationship played out.

I thought the story itself was very fast paced and I flew through it. It did feel a bit rushed at times and treaded into telling not showing territory. It was still a great conclusion to the trilogy but I felt like I was missing the details and depth that was in the two previous stories even though I was getting answers.

Loved the drama at the end, that was awesome. Intense right to the very end... intense was the theme for me throughout the book. Loved all the twists and turns, some predictable, some not. I am thrilled that Dallas and Jane got their happily ever after.

2 "...you can't escape reality."Stars

The conclusion to Dallas and Jane's story in Sweetest Taboo gives readers answers to the "who done it?" questions we've been asking for three books. In her eloquent third person writing style, Kenner definitely wraps things up from these two characters.

Since the series must be read in sequential order book three picks up exactly where book two leaves us hanging. The plot movement was much more pronounced in this installment. It moves steadily toward the ultimate conflict and resolution. I thought it became a bit predictable and repetitive in terms of conflicts and specific events regarding Jane. The taboo nature of the story became a bit drawn out. And there's so much sex and consequent neediness of the sex I found it a bit boring.

Interestingly enough, I was curious enough to know how it all ended. I really thought the series started out explosively; book one was a great start. As Dallas and Jane grew together though the story just fell a little flat. Sweetest Taboo provides answers to all the conflicts sating my curiosity and the last parts especially had some very sweet moments for me.

This is quite the story. Dallas and Jane have finally decided that it's time they have their time together, after all, they have loves each other their entire life. But it's not going to be easy.

Jane has been missing, Tabloids, the stalker, Colin, the details of the kidnapped leaked, possibility of jail time, but their love holds strong and Dallas is determined to find a way for them to be together.

This book is the third book about Jane and Dallas and they seem to be in the position to get the answers to why they were kidnapped seventeen years ago and by whom. When it becomes evident that it is someone in their lives on a regular basis, it's almost too much to bear. Will they figure it out? You have to read to find out.

A passionate, suspenseful, and intense romance with a dash of delicious taboo!

Dallas and Jane. These two have been through so much together and with SWEETEST TABOO, we finally reach their long-awaited and well deserved happily ever after. J. Kenner couldn't have given her readers a more beautiful couple with these two. Their love knows no bounds. It's so deep...it's so passionate...it's so unforgiving. For all of you who are still reeling from the cliffhanger of HOTTEST MESS, take a deep breath and hold on tight, because this book will take you on one hell of a ride. You will have to fight right alongside these characters to get to their happy ending. It's not going to be easy. There will be frustration, anger, shouts, and tears...lots of tears, but it will be well worth it in the end.

Can love survive, if both of you are being chased by demons of the past? Dallas and Jane went through something horrible when they were younger, and the past just doesn't want to rest. On top of the fact that their secret is out, and they have to deal with the scrutiny of their family and the press, the monster that they thought perished all those years ago, is back and is more determined than ever. Remember when I said that their love knows no bounds...well, that is put to the test when the nightmares of their past comes back in full force.

Sexy, sweet, passionate, invigorating, intense, and incredibly scandalous...SWEETEST TABOO gave me the ride of a lifetime. Fans of the Stark Series, I don't know about you, but Dallas Sykes just got bumped up to the top of my list of J. Kenner's sexiest heroes list.

It was bittersweet that this series had to end, but the intoxicating journey was well worth it. This series will be a definite re-read for me in the future.

4 wicked, twisted and devoted stars. The hard-hitting final installment in Dallas and Jane's story didn't let me down. While this book is a conclusion, it was just as fresh, potent and fascinating as the first novel. This novel threw me through the ringer because I was so invested in both Jane and Dallas. The shocking reveal of "The Woman" blind sighted me and the way things fell together was not much of a "textbook" romance, but since Jane and Dallas are anything but textbook, it seemed to work well. Simply put, I was moved, engaged and delighted. Once again, J. Kenner has captivated me with her ability to build a world that feels so real it makes you question your own reality. I was sad to see Dallas and Jane's story come to an end because I don't think I was emotionally ready to let go of Dallas, but I'm glad both were given the peace they deserved while achieving the ultimate happiness they both sought.

I liked this book and series as a whole. Sadly, I didn't love it. I found the series to be a bit predictable. I predicted who the masked woman was during Dirtiest Secrets ( Book 1 ) But I liked the storyline enough to continue reading. I loved Dallas and Jane, felt their characters were well developed . The author can definitely write a steamy sex scene. However, in my opinion the series was a little dragged out. Still, I would read something by this author in the future.

Title: Sweetest Taboo
Author: J Kenner
Genre: Romance
Format: Ebook
Shelf: NetGalley
Pages: 228
Rating: 5
Heat: 5

Thoughts: Wow, just wow.... As usual Ms. Kenner does a stunning job of wrapping up a story yet leaving you wanting more. Falling in love with the characters, feeling like they've always been a part of your life, and craving to hear more about them. All the twists and turns gluing your eyes to the page, not wanting to miss a thing. I did figure out who the Woman was before it was revealed but the other player involved was a huge shock and so hard to believe. Even though we had an idea who it was, the thought of him being behind the kidnapping just didn't make sense, especially with how he acted after it happened. Totally blew my mind. Another great love story!

Reviewed on behalf of The Book Boyfriend Addict (www.bookboyfriendaddict.com). A complimentary copy was provided by Random House Publishing - Ballantine via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

DISCLAIMER: This is the third and final installment in the S.I.N. trilogy, the first two books, Dirtiest Secret and Hottest Mess, should be read first and if you haven’t read them yet you may want to avoid this review until you’ve done so in case of any spoilers.

“You were my dirtiest secret, down there in the dark where nobody knew.”
“But they do know. So what does that make me?”
“Now you’re my sweetest taboo.”

Well here we are, finally at the conclusion of Dallas and Jane’s tumultuous love story! If you recall, at the end of Hottest Mess, there were several big things that happened that set the events of this book in motion. This book picks up right where the second book left off and it’s pretty much flat out the entire way. This book was a super-fast read but it was action packed, and while some of the reveals were a little predictable (I was able to figure it out well in advance of the actual reveal) it was still a fun and suspenseful ride.

“I want us. I want everything.”
“So do I. But we both know that everything is impossible for us. We’re going to have to settle for what we can get.”
“I’m not the kind of man who settles, Jane. You know that.”

In this book, the race was on to solve the other half of the puzzle to discover who else was involved in Dallas and Jane’s kidnapping when they were teenagers. We also had to deal with the fallout from the cliffhanger of book two and the secret that was revealed to Jane that Dallas had been keeping to protect her. All of this was going on while they were still trying to find their way as a couple, this book didn’t have any of the jealousy issues that the second book did, but now that their relationship is out in the open, that in and of itself presents a whole other set of issues that they have to work through. The biggest issue is how they can actually make their relationship work. They were obviously in love and 100% committed to one another but the nature of their legal relationship really throws a wrench in their long term plans. As much as I was interested in seeing their captors brought to justice, I think I was even more interested to see how they would manage to pull off a HEA given their unusual circumstances. Were they successful? I’ll let you discover that for yourself.

“I need you.”
“You have me. Always. I can’t believe there was a time when we fought it, because I can’t live without you.”

I thought this was a good conclusion to this trilogy. As I said earlier, some of the reveals weren’t totally shocking but the way they played out were still exciting. It was nice being able to see Dallas and Jane continue to grow stronger in their relationship and I enjoyed watching them work together to overcome the many obstacles in their path. If you are a fan of J Kenner’s books, I think you should definitely check out this trilogy, it’s got her signature steam and sexy, lovable bad boys but this story is also a bit darker and edgier than some of the others I’ve read. All in all, it’s an enjoyable, heartfelt, sexy and exciting story that I would definitely recommend!

We’re bound, he and I. We’re inevitable. And despite the taboo, those binds between us don’t feel like chains, but like a gift.

Taboo: adjective
1. prohibited or restricted by social custom.
"sex was a taboo subject"
synonyms:forbidden, prohibited, banned, proscribed, interdicted, outlawed, illegal, illicit, unlawful,restricted, off limits;

"Wrong. Dirty. Sinful. She was the best part of his life, and yet all that the world reflected back to them was the dirt and the shame."

In a world where it's difficult to make friends, let alone find a person you can love, is falling in love ever a bad thing? What if this love doesn't fit into the realms of what society deems permissible? Dallas Sykes and Jane Martin were brought together in childhood by a series of unfortunate circumstances, and an extremely traumatic event in their adolescence. In Sweetest Taboo, the third book of the S.I.N. Series by J. Kenner, we see the culmination of their complicated journey. In a story of forbidden romance, we've watched their tragic and tortured relationship suffer a series of disastrous events and looming threats. Is their love strong enough to survive the demons of the past and the insane foreboding of their future?

"We've been forged in the fire, and we've come out stronger."

An illicit story about strength, survival, and second chances, that through a chain of twists, turns, and a tumultuous ride, the vial, evil, and unorthodox becomes a bittersweet, intensely intoxicating, steamy passion. This book neatly ties up all the loose ends, giving answers to all of our inquiries. The ever present question of "the woman" is brought to fruition. Fall-out and flawed lives are delivered full circle. This is a series riddled with lust, suspense, angst, vengeance, and deceit, but but above all, it's layered with romance and love.

In typical Kenner style, this was a well written narrative with an astute plot. Developed and layered characters permeated the pages and I fell in love with the supporting cast almost as much as the mains. It was nice to see Damien and Nikki Stark again, as they feel like family. The attention to detail placed the reader directly in the heart of this story. You couldn't help but fall for these characters and yearn for their HEA. Although the ending wasn't a surprise for me, it was well done, and I loved it.

"I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond. I don't want to spend a day without you. You inspire me. You humble me. You're my best friend and my deepest passion. The other half of me. The best part of my soul."

Love is love. Plain and simple. To each his own. I happen to agree with Great Britain on this one. In the case of adoption, if you have two consenting adults? It's merely a formality. Should a piece of paper trump love? I know that I for one, would love to have the King of F*** love me. Paperwork be damned.

"You're mine, Jane... You were my dirtiest secret... Now you're my sweetest taboo."

Before I thought I was in love with Dallas but this book did me in. He now seriously owns me. A great romance filled with suspense and anguish. I couldn't put this book down wish it was longer.

No I don't want this series to end come on. Please don't take my Dallas away. We can have a series about deliverance and Liam. Oh boy I hate when a good series ends. Oh no this has truly wrecked me. J. Kenner writes so well that you can't help fall in love with the characters.

Dallas beeindruckt mich einfach immer wieder.

Sweetest Taboo is the final book in the S.I.N. series by J. Kenner. This book starts where the previous book – Hottest Mess – left off, and takes the reader right back in the world of Jane and Dallas. Since it’s an ongoing story, these books needs to be read in order and I really like them.
“Their eyes met and held, and for a moment there was no time, no space, no world that judged them. There was just them.”

Jane and Dallas are not in a good place. After learning some devastating news at the end of the last book Jane ran off, not knowing what to think anymore. And while she rans, Jane is being taken by the Woman who played a key role in the abduction of her and Dallas all those years ago. Fortunately, Jane is found quickly, but knowing it had to do with their kidnapping in their teenage years, Dallas does all he can the find out the truth. Even when it turns out the truth could hurt, not only him and Jane but also other loved ones.
“Wrong. Dirty. Sinful. She was the best part of his life, and yet all that the world reflected back to them was dirt and shame.”

While Dallas and Jane know they belong together as a romantic couple, they still have to face the outside world. Not just their parents, but also the paparazzi and tabloids. Falling in love with each other while you’re raised as brother and sister from a young age combined with Dallas’ reputation is something the public eats up. Of course Dallas and Jane have their moments of doubts, but the love for each other is much stronger. Their road to a HEA isn’t an easy one, but in the end Dallas and Jane have what they’ve always wanted; each other.

Sweetest Taboo in the conclusion to the story of Jane and Dallas, and finally all is out in the open. Not just the relationship between the main couple, but also the truth about their kidnapping seventeen years ago. More importantly, finally Dallas and Jane know who the Woman is who damaged Dallas so very much. I had my suspicion already in the second book, and it turned out I was right. Sweetest Taboo is written in J. Kenner’s distinctive style, I love it. But just as in another series I’ve read by this author, there is so much sex in this series. While I enjoy the mystery, the flashbacks and the interaction between the main couple and other characters, I started to skim the sexy times. It just was a bit too much.
“I’ve loved you for as long as I can remember, and I will love for the rest of my life and beyond. I don’t want to spend a day without you. You inspire me. You humble me. You’re my best friend and my deepest passion. The other half of me.”

I’ve enjoyed reading Sweetest Taboo, and I’m happy with the ending Jane and Dallas have gotten. I give this story 4 stars.

Everything comes full circle for the SIN. Past and present collide and our duo have to come together to gather their forces to face what's been coming from the beginning.

I really thought Sweetest Taboo was great but just a little bit lacking in our characters personal development and the passion could have been turned up a little bit but all in all I thought it was a pretty good read.

I would have liked to have gotten more from the secondary characters in this series which might make a good sister series for these books if Kenner decides to cash in on them.

Highly suggest reading the series from the beginning for all you new readers.

I received this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
When Hottest Mess ended I was a wreck. What was going to happen to Jane? What would Dallas do to get to her? My mind was in overdrive and I knew I was going to have to wait months to find out. I sulked. So to my surprise, when I saw the book on my Kindle, I froze. I couldn’t jump right in because I didn’t want the story to be over. After 24 hours I finally cracked the book and I couldn’t put it down.
The fast paced, suspense driven, passionate novel, takes you on a journey of two soul mates that are faced with the fact that others view their relationship as something vial, evil, and unorthodox. But what will catch you off guard is how the people they trust the most have turned on them without them knowing. And relationships and bridges that were burned are mended. Loving each other, and being brother and sister on paper, provides twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. There is a difference between family love and soul mate love. Can one deny soul mate love because of a piece of paper?
Jane and Dallas have lots of obstacles to overcome to be together the way they want to be, but will being together the way they currently are be enough? Will the world throw more at them than they can handle and will the Jailer and the evil Woman finish what they started 17 years ago? Will being disowned by their father hurt them more or will it make them stronger?
The book has some amazing scenes with many members from the Starks series. I am sad to see the story of Jane and Dallas over. I hope to see more of the whole Stark family in future novels.

Sweetest Taboo is the final installment in the S.I.N. series and what a great ending . Now we’ve got answers to the questions that have plagued us from the last two books, Dirtiest Secret and Hottest Mess. This is my favorite book of the series. Dallas and Jane find themselves up against the wall, the easiest way out is to end their relationship but instead they fight.

The story begins with Jane being released. The abduction is a warning to Dallas. His stalker is becoming more aggressive in her attempt to protect what is hers.

“So you care for her, leave her. Because the next time I meet her on the street, I’ll truly end this. I have to, my love. How else can I protect what is mine?”

Oh yes, the stalker is crazy! Dallas and Jane continue their relationship, they have waited long enough. No stalker, parent, ex-husband or societal expectation is going to keep them apart. Even after their past is revealed to the world they persevere.

“You were my dirtiest secret, down there in the dark where nobody knew.” “But they do know. So what does that make me?” “Now you’re my sweetest taboo.”

There are a series of unfortunate events and looming threats that led up to climatic ending. Each event only solidifies their relationship. The story is suspense filled, intriguing, fast paced and there are steamy scenes that you don’t want to miss. 4 Stars

The" Sweetest Taboo" is the third and final book in Ms .Kenner's S.I.N series and as such met and exceeded my expectations . Dallas and Jane no longer have secrets from one another and thanks to the paparazzi not from the public or their parents. They are going to have to reveal the whole story of their abduction and their relationship . Secrets they have kept for years. Jane may be stressed about it but Dallas is determined to find a legal way to be together. Their relationship may be considered taboo in society but not to them any longer.

“You were my dirtiest secret, down there in the dark where nobody knew.” “But they do know. So what does that make me?” “Now you’re my sweetest taboo.” Laughter danced in her eyes. “Good,” she said, “because you’re mine, too.”

Their relationship being exposed is just one of many issues, Dallas is getting closer to fulfilling his desire to capture one of the last people who played a role in their abduction. However the women who abused him the most while being held is still out there, still taunting and now being a danger to his Jane.
Ms Kenner had me sitting on the edge of my seat as she brought the multiple storylines together, Dallas and Janes love, the reveal to the parents and their solving the mystery and capture of the abducters all those years ago.
