Caleb left the US after the death of his beloved grandfather to have a fresh start and find himself in his grandfather's birth nation, England. While trying to survive by selling his art and fighting his roommate gets him on the dating app Bears-4-U. Soon he meets Rod, who he starts to fall for, but at the same due to his past, he has abandonment issues and is scared that Rod, once he learns about his baggage, will leave him as everyone has.

I really enjoyed the exploration of kink and the BDSM lifestyle as a whole. The scenes were very sexy and hot! Caleb needed someone he could trust 100% to let go with and let his submissive side out. There is always a risk when there is an imbalance in experience, and I loved how Rod was always ready to communicate, listen, educate, and answer whatever questions Caleb had. He took charge while respecting Caleb's limits as a submissive and providing him with outlets, especially regarding the pain he needed. There are angsty moments as Caleb has had a rough life growing up. He deserved to find his happily ever after, and Rod was perfect for him! On a side note, I've read only a few books with sounding so it's always interesting seeing it.

Overall this was a sweet and steamy read! This is my first book by K.C. Carmine, and definitely not my last! If you enjoy BDSM exploration, bears, kink, and a bit of hurt/comfort, I recommend it!

TWs from the author - discussions of past abuse and child neglect, death of a family member, suicide, overdose, recollection of a kidnapping, fighting, D/S dynamics, consensual punishment, insertion of objects, morally grey characters.

Feb 24: HAPPY RELEASE DAY!

Orig: Thanks to the author for an ARC to review of this pleasant surprise! If you like your romances with some darkness and trauma that make the love story all the sweeter, with some sexy bdsm scenes on the side, this is for you. is gonna be out real soon, hit up the Kindle store this Friday the 28th.

Our two main characters were adorable, and their meet-cute included wound tending of our bisexual MC! Right off the bat! There is a supportive trans bestie! Caleb lives with a friend he met on Twitter and no one thinks it's weird! I was very pleased early on in reading this. The setup and characters are so grounded in reality and relatable traits that there was no trouble getting invested.

It's important to note the content warnings helpfully supplied by the author at the beginning - Caleb has had a rough family life and continues to, throughout the book. There is some grim stuff in here. For me as a reader, it really helped the romance and sweet moments to pop, per se, so I will just say to double-check those, it's a dark and deliciously kinky book.

The steamier scenes were a joy to read, presenting some kinks that I'd only ever seen in fanfic and were quite refreshing. While the story is not intended as a handbook for BDSM scenes, Rod and Caleb set up a good system, Rod checks in often, it was simply a nice healthy portrayal of this flavor of sexy antics, I thought. I love my aftercare scenes and Carmine does not skimp on those and the cuddling, either. I barked aloud laughing at a scene where Rod considers the default items and appliances supplied by a generic hotel room, as potential implements for a good time; what a great and entertaining story.

This is another indie winner from K.C. Carmine in my book. Five full stars.

I enjoyed the kinky exploration, the fun conversations the protectiveness and care as well as the need to let go.

The scenes were hot and creative 🔥

The side characters in their friend-groups were lovely

This came with some darker topics (content info is provided by the author)

4.5 stars. Rod is a mountain of a man, a dominant, sometimes sadistic, hugely tender and he loves to cuddle.
He’s impressed when he meets the force called Caleb, a small but feisty guy.
Caleb is a fighter, literally, for money as is. He needs it, to… read it yourself.
He’s independent, even with nothing, he wants to live as he prefers, independent.

“So you like hurting people?”
“Yes, but only when they ask me to. Begging is preferable.”

Rod can offer Caleb everything he needs. He wants to claim him and ask him to stay. But it has to be Caleb’s decision.
Caleb doesn’t know how to survive, he's reluctant what Rod can give because he can’t believe his luck.

“You’re not broken, and you don’t need to be fixed.”
“But?”
“You might be a bit torn.”

Rod is afraid to spook Caleb, he’s completely enamored, when he’ll decide to leave England back to the US, he’ll take Rod’s heart with him.

Caleb and Rod are hot and sweet together, a perfect fit.
Gosh, Rod was everything Caleb needed.
The stories woven around their characters were really well made. They both have a story to tell and it’s all quite heartbreaking and impressive.
The writing was clear, the story was well-built, and the BDSM scenes are super attractive, intense, and varied.
Overall a very enjoyable read!

Stitch Me was a deliciously kinky and steamy read with a fantastic D/s dynamic!

Rod and Caleb were truly right for each other and I adored them together. Their story was layered and there were both heavier themes as well as light-hearted and funny ones. The sweetness of the romance was a great contrast to the darker parts of the story, and it never felt too heavy or angsty for me.

There were lots of different kinks and scenes throughout the book, and I loved everything! Rod was pretty intense and definitely pushed Caleb and tried his boundaries. There was such a great balance with Rod being a sadist but also a tender and caring Dom, and it was exactly what Caleb needed. Rod’s username CuddlySadist was very spot on. I loved seeing their dynamic develop and how eager Caleb was to try things out - so many hot scenes!

There were some sub plots that felt a little rushed to me, but it worked out and overall it was a well written story. I totally enjoyed seeing Rod and Caleb explore things together and fall in love, it was everything I had hoped for and more!

4.5 Stars. I’d have to say this was my first real attempt at reading a BDSM book. I’ve read some in the past but nothing near what is in this book. Definitely make sure to read the trigger warnings before reading. I wouldn’t let that stop you from reading this fantastic book but then at least you’ll be prepared.

The love story between Rod and Caleb was wonderful. I loved how they were both looking for something in their life that the other person fulfilled completely! Their relationship develops really quickly but it does start off with a few amazing dates where we get to know the characters before getting into anything too hardcore. The support that they have for one another was awesome. Rod was always there for Caleb (even if Caleb didn’t want it). It took Caleb some time but he was right there for Rod at the end with some amazing ideas.

The kink was a lot for someone that is not used to it but for the most part it was good (even found something new I liked)! One thing I loved about the whole concept of pain kink was that Rod was able to give Caleb what he needed in a safe environment where Caleb is always the winner! There was one scene I had to skip but I was able to pick back up at the end of the chapter and didn’t feel like I missed anything. I felt like the love story and kink were separate enough in their lives that it didn’t take over the story but was still present enough for readers looking for that BDSM element.

The HEA was perfect for them! The epilogue had me in tears, cleared up some questions and ended perfectly! I absolutely loved the meaning of Stitch Me! Tear-worthy explanation! This book is part of a multi-author universe, I have not read any others in this series but they can be read as stand-alones.

A dark, hot, and kinky BDSM read with enough sweetness that for me, it balanced out the dark parts nicely.

I loved both MCs from the get-go and I loved the connection that formed between them from their first meeting and which grew into more than either could have hoped for. Their relationship develops quite quickly, but as they get to know each other and discover what makes each other tick, Rod is able to introduce Caleb to the world of BDSM and help him find safer ways to deal with his need for pain while showing him how it feels to be loved and cared for.

Caleb's past is messed up and once again I found myself wondering about the kind of parents that can hurt their children either physically or mentally when they are supposed to care for and love them. The support Caleb found in Rob was exactly what he needed when it came time to have to deal with his mother and her family. But it's not just Caleb who gets what he needs, Rob needs someone to care for, to hurt and comfort in a safe nurturing way that benefits both parties and he finds that in Caleb.

Caleb is also looking for someone his grandfather was friends with in his younger days in the UK and I enjoyed the small twist that was uncovered in the search for him.

I'm looking forward to reading more by K.C. Carmine.

Another wonderful story in the Bear-4-U multiverse by several authors which focuses on the Bear-4-U app. I love how the scenarios are different in each books. This one focuses on the “Fight Club” type of scenario. Throw in two hot studs makes for an awesome reading! 5 stars reading from me!

The story focuses on Caleb, an American staying in England because he wanted something different. To make ends, he would participate in fight clubs. It so happened he was at a brewery and a patron was making it difficult for one of the staff. He intervened and got hurt. To rescue him was this “daddy” Rod who assisted him. The electricity between them was electric! Without realizing it was both, they were texting on the Bear-4-U app. I’m going to stop and have you pick up the book and read to find out what happens.

Well named, well written

K. C. Carmine is a new to me author and I liked this book a lot. That is one of the things about series like this where you can end up finding more authors who write books of a type that you enjoy. I liked figuring out the many meanings of the title that encompass the relationship between Rod and Caleb. This is a lovely multi layered combination of a story about love and loss and how two men find their way to a regular and k1nk relationship.

This book is so delightful and delicious! I loved the relationship between Rod and Caleb. They were both desperately searching for something they didn't realize. The app plays far less of a role in this story then others but it works out. The relationship was definitely front and center as well as the kink which was very well written. I enjoyed it

I do believe this is my first book by this author and I loved it. I loved both Caleb and Rod. They were both kind of lost and stuck in their lives. They meet and sparks fly. They had amazing chemistry and were perfect for each other. I loved how they were there for each other during the bad parts.

im going to preface this saying this one is heavy on the bdsm. it's all heavy on the kinks. heavy on the toys. and heavy on the pain. just like it says in the blurb, so read that and the triggers before diving in.

i loved the fact that this had bits about chicago- i grew up 30 minutes away from there and everything kc said was on point. but could they have gotten a chicago style pizza from ginos east? man i miss that freaking pizza more than life. and i loved the ketchup on the hotdog bit. it's blasphemy!

i fell in love with rod. he's so goddamn lovable i can't even. even though he's a sadist he's sweet as hell.

and their ending- perfecto!

i would have loved if this was in first person. im not anti third person, but i would have loved to be inside their heads, especially rod with all his snugglyness. swoon.

“You’re not broken, and you don’t need to be fixed.” “But?”“You might be a bit torn.” “And you want to stitch me?” “Something like that.”

I enjoyed this book but I have to say that Caleb’s attitude got on my nerves a little bit. He is very blinded by a path he has chosen to walk and is determined that nothing will veer him off track. Thank goodness Rod sees through him to the sub beneath the bluster. Caleb wants to learn all about the BDSM lifestyle and Rod is the perfect one to teach him. These characters were well written and I did get hooked pretty quickly to the story. I like a book that makes me step back and look at the MCs again because, like I said before, I didn’t really like Caleb at first. As I continued to read, his attitude made sense and I couldn’t help but root for him to trust Rod and grab his HEA with both hands!

This was surprisingly sweet. Wasn't sure what to expect going in. Still think the whole app thing is a little silly but I get that it's what ties the series together. Regardless, I really enjoyed the way Caleb and Rod's relationship evolved. Glad to see the stuff that wrapped up at the end, too. I had a feeling something along those lines was going to happen and wasn't disappointed at all.

We all need stitching!

Caleb is a young man with a lot of baggage. He is hurting and lonely and is trying to cope. A chance meeting with Rod is a new beginning and a possibility of something really good happening for Caleb and for Rod. Caleb finally has someone to lean on but struggles to accept that Rod wants all of him.
It’s a beautiful story of finding yourself and your place in the world. The dynamic and chemistry between the two characters is sizzling and I just ate it up

Amazing!

Take an American and a Brit bumping to gather with sparks flying. Add in that one is a pain slut and the other is a sadist. The magic between these two is off the charts! I absolutely loved it. A must read for lovers of kink! Great job K.C.!

Kink and Chemistry

“Caleb?”“Yeah?”“You’re not broken, and you don’t need to be fixed.” “But?”“You might be a bit torn.” “And you want to stitch me?” “Something like that.”

I have enjoyed reading K.C. Carmine since her first MM PNR ‘Whisper in the Woods’. In fact, it is one of my favorite books, one you should read!

As her writing developed, she moved into MM Romance with her Pursuit of Love series books, which were sweet and steamy and filled with love.

Stitch Me continues to woo readers who want to feel the passion that two men can feel about each other. It does take a different path to get there, as kink and BDSM play stand out as Rod and Caleb’s love language. This book sheds light on some dark places in their hearts, but stitches together their souls through a mutual need that the other provides.

Carmine provides detailed interactions that should be acknowledged by readers before thinking this is a traditional romance. These characters show dark needs to dominate/be dominated and pain is a tool used excessively.

Passion is found where the cracks of a broken existence are filled.

Stitch Me is a love letter to two cities I love dearly: Bristol and Chicago.
Throughout the book, we see Caleb and Rod develop their relationship through sightseeing-filled dates and their love of k!nk. That's basically the core of the story.
I hope you'll enjoy this book even a tiny bit as much as I loved writing it!

So first I skipped a small portion of chapter 11 because of some of the activity being performed. Other than that its really heavy intimate scenes. Think you know what scene Rod is into. Think again. Second thing the romance portions are spot on and had my heart melting. Caleb is a smart mouthed Tattooed fighter, who left the USA on wishes for a new life in Bristol UK. Rod or Roderick isn't looking for just anyone. Rod is looking for a companion. After Caleb beat up some scum at the Lions Mane ,Rod is there to bandage him up. The romance and interest is instant for both Caleb and Rod. They meet back up on a social media application. Then the Main characters explore their street light system. Red is a stop and Green is a go. Caleb has previous Family issues with his mom back in America. Rod has recently closed his therapy practice. The age of Rod being older than Caleb could have been explored or more level. Caleb is 24 and Rod is only 35. I just feel like the ages could have been higher for both characters based on how they talk and present themselves. There is talk of art and paintings from the very beginning and I like that touch. There are secrets to be found out with Caleb. Yet, Rod also wont let eveything out at first. It felt like as i was reading I kept finding out more about each of the characters. I now have to research Banksy. This book has various queer identified characters and the language suits them all. The speed of language and writing style kept me reading. I finished the book in a total of 2 days. The intensity of this book is very fast. Almost like you are racing along with the characters. This book is written by one author, but is technically in a series of other books which are all written by other stand alone authors. While you don't have to read the others in series, it has me wanting to.

Rod and Caleb set this book on fire

This is an offshoot of the Pursuit Of Love series, but stands completely alone and you won't be sorry if you go and read those books too. The Flower Arrangement stars Brendan and is very sweet. The Blindfold Date stars Brian (Brendan's brother) and E (a Dom and Rod's friend) and is not as sweet but sweeter than Stitch Me. The Lonely Date is a prequel to The Blindfold Date starring Brian and E but introducing Rod too. I loved all three of these and I'm so glad Rod now gets to tell his story.
Caleb holds a lot inside him which he reveals to no one, and the pain from fighting is the only way he deals with that. His history is very sad and has made him fiercely independent.
Rod gets by but is lonely and also not happy, two facts he only realises when he crosses paths with the magnetic and unforgettable Caleb. He is also haunted by a past event, and he wants and needs someone to share his life and his lifestyle, someone to care for and to dominate.
Caleb needs pain and Rod wants to give him that. Caleb is eager to explore the lifestyle once Rod explains submitting doesn't mean giving up control. They are perfect for each other in every way. Rod's attention, affection and love allow Caleb to find a peace he never knew and, in return, Caleb lights up Rod's life and helps to heal his wounds too.
This story has trigger warnings so beware but, despite Rod being a sadist, all the scenes between Rod and Caleb are full of caring and love. I braced myself for 'hard limits' scenes but Caleb loved everything Rod introduced him to, and it wasn't anywhere near as pain-filled or nasty as I imagined it might be. Every scene between them just cemented their compatibility and connection even more, and their story would not be the same without all those scenes.

I’d been intrigued by Rod from the moment I read about him in The Blindfold Date, and I was thrilled when I learned he was getting his own book. He is such an amazing character, and I loved Caleb for him. And Caleb! He’s a prickly, stubborn, affection-starved, ooey gooey delight. There are so many aspects of this book I enjoyed, including the vicarious tours of Bristol and Chicago, that made this book feel like escaping into another world.

With no family left in Chicago, Caleb moved to the UK in search of a new start in the city where his grandfather grew up. Unable to legally work while he waits for his citizenship to go through, he relies on underground fighting for income - and the pain and adrenaline are a bonus. When his friend convinces him to try the BEARS-4-U dating app, Caleb finds Rod, a sadist who promises him a safer way to experience pain.

Rod’s looking for a change in his stagnant life, and he finds Caleb is an alluring challenge. After a short while, Rod knows Caleb is it for him and is hopeful he can convince Caleb to stay in Bristol with him. Their relationship is so sweet and wholesome, even as it is incredibly filthy and filled with kinky experimentation. They’re compatible in so many ways, and when Caleb lets Rod support and care for him, they both can see a bright future full of love.

I loved this book so much and wasn’t ready for it to end - only because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Rod and Caleb yet. It’s on the upper end of medium angst, because Rod and Caleb have been put through the emotional wringer. But it’s so comforting to read them find strength and hope in each other.

CW: homophobia (including slurs); drug abuse; death of family member; mentions of the Holocaust; brief description of gun violence; talk about depression and suicide (not an MC); trans health care (side character)

This was a fantastically good read! A sweet, kinky love story between two very well developed and relatable characters, with enough dark elements to make the romance that much sweeter. And bears!

I have read a few books with BDSM and kinks in them, but not many written as well or explaining things in as much detail as this book. It’s definitely not a DIY how-to book (this features strongly in the CW), but it does show in very practical and relatable ways how to set scenes and how Rod and Caleb’s system works. It also clearly shows how healthy, nice, and fun kink is and completely normalizes it for our couple. Yes, Rod has more experience, but Caleb is never ashamed of his curiosity or made to feel shame for his interest in exploring his kinkier side.

What I also really loved is it showed WHY both men crave this in their lives and it made their love story so much sweeter that they both found someone who can fulfill this, need both in their private AND public lives.

This is very much an instant attraction story, but they go on some wonderful dates that clearly show how much both men feel for each other and how well they listen to each other. Yes, they want to have kinky, wonderful sex, but they also just really like each other and enjoy spending time together. Even during Caleb’s darkest hours of the story, the love he feels for Rod shines through in the way he wants to show him all his favourite places in his home city.

I also really loved that the power dynamics between the two were constantly shifting but never unbalanced—Rod is older and more experienced and teaches Caleb a lot about his desires and needs and is there for him during a very tough time. But Caleb is equally supportive of Rod’s career struggles, helping him work through his own demons regarding the past and supporting him in his future.

Reading the TW and CW for this one is a must, however. The story has some grim stuff in terms of parental child abuse and neglect as well as an off-page character’s struggle with addiction, but the dark elements simply allow the romance and love scenes to shine so much brighter and feel so much sweeter and more special.

Spicy & Lovable

Caleb and Rod. This story, Rod’s story is one that I hoped for for so long. We first met Rod in the Lonely Date and again in the Blindfold Date as a friend/roommate to Ernesto. In the Lonely Date, Rod seemed to be starting his journey in the k|nk world. Now in Stitch Me, we find him comfortably ensconced in his identity and looking for a partner to fill the emptiness in his life.

Rod is kind and broken in his own way. Caleb’s running away from a past that is so hard and hurtful that he just needs to be away from it. When he ran to the UK, he hoped he was running to a new future, but starting a new life isn’t as easy as he thought in a new country. Rod is not only a friend, he’s a Daddy, and he knows how to give pain, just enough to bring Caleb the peace he craves. Starting a relationship wasn’t in the plan for Caleb, but can you really plan when to meet the guy of your dreams?

This story kept me up all night. I could not, would not put it down. Both Caleb and Rod kept me going, eagerly tapping my finger on my phone for the next page. Between the spicy scenes, to the drive through Chicago, and the walk through Bristol, this book had a little bit of everything. When I was heartbroken for Caleb, Rod was there to help him put himself back together. When Rod needed a little push, it was Caleb there to encourage him. They truly became the perfect partners for each other. I absolutely loved this book!! I know it’s part of a series and I hope to go back and read the others as well.

Rod's career is a mess and he has no excitement in his sex life. Needing someone who can fit in as a true partner he knows he needs to find a submissive who will feed his dominant and sadistic sides. When he tries the Bears-4-U app the only person who matches his eye is a feisty young man. Caleb escapes his dead-end existence in the US and flies to England determined to make a new life where his mother and grandfather lived. He tried the Bears-4-U app but with no proper job and his residency application still up in the air, he might be forced to return home. Consumed by his white-hot passion, Rod refuses to let his perfect sub slip from his grasp. He’s determined to do whatever it takes to earn Caleb’s love before they run out of time.

I loved this story with the feisty Caleb who was determined to do whatever it took to earn some money and survive even when technically he couldn't work. Rod was a dream of a Dom who was both a sadist and an expert at aftercare (which might seem to be contrary but actually fits very well). Their encounters were always high-heat and full of trust and passion. Caleb had a lot of heartbreak but Rod was there to support and care for him. They really were a match made in heaven. Easy to read, feel and understand it was easy to get swept away and love this story. This MM story is high on heat and contains mature content and BSDM D/s relationship including sadism and a pain slut.
