[close] We promote and maintain Sunderland’s maritime history through the use of an interactive visitor centre demonstrating the crafts, skills and trades associated with one of the greatest ship and boatbuilding centres of the last century.

[close] This global discussion group has been designed to encourage debates about important and underreported issues of our era. All you need is an enquiring mind and a desire to gain or share “underground knowledge”. This is also a place to discuss the controversial topics explored in The Underground Knowledge Series (non-fiction books) by James Morcan & Lance Morcan as well as the Underground Knowledge podcast show.

[close] A place for anyone interested maritime history to share books and ask for recommendations. Subjects include naval history, shipbuilding, navigation, exploration, trade, migration, navigation aids, fishing, whaling, international maritime law and the related sciences. We also encourage the discussion of maritime themes in literature, art and social history. This group is dedicated to enriching our understanding of maritime history, engaging new readers and preserving historic sites and heritage.

[close] In time, I will seek beta readers from all backgrounds, but at the moment, I need gay men and African American beta readers to let me know if I got the story right. I'm finishing up my first novel set in a small town on the coast of North Carolina in 1923. It takes place during the salad days of Prohibition, and Beaufort is a hopping, rum-running kinda place. Lots of Jazz and Rag and booze. A captain and his boat go missing, and his brother suspects there is more to the story. The story is currently 90,000 words.
