[close] Each month a theme will be set with a suggested book for each age group (adult, young adult, 8-12 years, young children). You do not have to stick to your age group, it's just to provide a little something for everyone. Some months adult themes may be included, there will be a warning given prior if this is the case. If you add a book to the tbr please let a moderator know the key themes, genres and age range that it falls under.

I've wanted to read the Bible for a really long time, because 1) it's not completely fair to reject something you're not so familiar with, and 2) it would give me an advantage when discussing matters of religion. I'll be reading it this summer, so I've decided to create this group for anyone who might be willing to join me on this quest. I would like to point out that this will NOT be a discussion of religion, but one of the Bible. The title says "a group-read for Atheists" because I am one and my goal is to achieve a rational, relatively unbiased discussion about the book. If you think you are up to it, regardless of your religion, feel welcome to join in. I'll set up an Introduction thread, the actual reading will begin in June. Please read the rules before joining. PS. If no one is willing to participate by May, I will be deleting this group.
