-You were forced into an arranged marriage. -You did everything in your power to make your wife hate you. -Doing so isolated you from most of your friends and family, but that was okay because you preferred to silence your pain.
Life goes on, and you finally have an out. It feels like you have some control over your life for the first time.
-So you asked for a divorce, and when she walked away without taking a dime, you realized that maybe she wasnโt as bad as you made her out to be.
Now years later, your ex-wife is in danger, but she wants nothing to do with you. And when it seems like things might work out, more reminders of the past come knocking on your door.
And all of this is your fault for being too blind to see what had been right in front of you all alongโฆ.

PRESCOTT IS A PIECE OF SHIT AND RACHEL IS SO FUCKING DESPERATE.
Prescott, our main guy, is a piece of shit. First, he doesn't return calls of his gf after she told him she is pregnant and when he finally gets courage, he gets to know she aborted the kid due to his father. So now, his father arranged his marriage and because he is soooo scared to lose his inheritance, he expects the girl, Rachel to refuse her family for marriage and lose her inheritance and when she doesn't do this, he feels cheated, betrayed, angry and blames her for everything. He cheats on her continuously, never even speak to her properly, humiliates her and completely break her for 5 years. Then the divorce happen. 10 years later, bam!!!! HE WANTS HER BACK!!! So do you think he would grovel and communicate with her???? No!!!
He would eat her out and give her those roses each week. And the girl, Rachel, who never even possessed an organ called backbone will not even try to object. She would be like flowers???? Wow!! Tears, tears, tears. I am all yours.๐ฅบ
GIRL OPEN YOUR EYES!! HE IS RICH๐ซ
- And the fact he got vasectomy the first tym they slept together, and now he has an accidental kid when Rachel lost all her prime years when she wanted to be the mother is horrible.
-The thing I hate most in the book is how everything was Prescott's fault but all the people keep telling him he deserves to be happy and keeping telling Rachel to give him a chance? I mean, I do not understand when women see how horribly a man treated a woman and instead to being happy that she is finally out to that awful toxic cycle, they want her to go back to him. THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE SENSIBLE WOMAN IN THE BOOK WHO TOLD HER THAT SHE IS LUCKY THAT THIS PIECE OF SHIT IS OUT OF HER LIFE.
- Let's talk about Rachel. The guy was awful to her. He did everything he could to prove he didn't deserve her. But did she leave him? No. All he had to do was say Rachel once and she would be filled with hope. And the fact that she never ever met a good guy for 10 years? Something was always missing? Nonsense๐
-His sisters were bitches to tell her that now it would be so horrible to tell him to choose between the love of his life and his child. Women, you pitied her when they were married and now you are here doing the communication that he should be doing. GREAT. JUST FUCKING GREATTTT. ๐
-Also, he doesn't tell her about his kid because he thinks she would not be able to handle it so instead of giving her a heads up and doing much needed communication, he shocks her. And saying we don't talk. We remain busy and I feel at peace with my days with my son and nights with Rachel. ๐
THE BOOK WAS HORRIBLE. THE GUY DIDN'T DESERVE HER. IF THIS IS LOVE, I DON'T WANT IT. THANKYOU!!! ๐ฅบ๐ซถ

he cheats on her continuously humiliates her goes on trips with his mistress allows his family to treat her like shit he doesnโt even grovel he comes back for her TEN YEARS LATER eats her pussy and she takes him back just like that
I read this because I wanted to see what all the hype was about but Iโm not understanding it. I donโt like the cheating trope (when itโs on partner) but I was REALLY hoping it was like a one time thing. I was wrong.
Idk youโll never redeem a man that cheated throughout the first year of their marriage. You can tell me all about how much he cared for her and didnโt even realize it by the other actions he does for his wife but youโll never convince me that he cared for her yet still cheated. He even told her that he didnโt consider it cheating since he was forced into marriage with her but excuse me? Sir you are still married PUBLICLY. Itโs just embarrassing and I felt so bad for Rachel.
Then years after their divorce he wants her backโฆ working towards it just to find out he has a 16 year old son with ow. He even told his mom that he wasnโt upset because children are a blessing (something along the lines of that) but god forbid you have a child with your WIFE!!! It would make you hate her more (his words!!)) ARE U KIDDING!!!! He got a vasectomy after the first time he slept with Rachel so he wouldnโt have kids with her (who cares about all the ow that it couldโve (DID) happen with!!!) and now Rachel has to accept this? Along with getting over his affairs? PLEASE!!!
All I gathered from this book is that Prescott doesnโt know how to act like an adult - going out an screwing everything that walks after what happened with Jana then doing the same when he was forced to marry Rachel. Grow up Rachel deserved better
Iโll admit I skimmed A LOT. So maybe I missed some really good grovel but I donโt think it would have changed my opinion.

free homegirl rachel from that crusty musty family !
edit 5/29/23: This book fr doing wonders for modern day feminism. We love when female authors write romance where the women are hurt throughout the entire book AND the manipulative men are the victims b/c โb-but he had a hard upbringing with so much expectations because omg theyโre millionaires ๐ฅบ plus his dad was mean ๐ฅบ and heโs the eldest child ๐ฅบ so what if he cheated, humiliated her, isolated her, and emotionally abused her ๐ฅบ you HAVE to forgive him ๐ฅบโ
idk what these authors are drinking, but why do they hate women so much????? like this phenomenon needs to be studied
I'm gobsmacked. I suffered through all the other books in the series because Prescott intrigued me. I really wish I had left it at intrigued because this repulsive cretin has to be one of the worst characters I've ever read.
Why?
โช๏ธ He acted out like a spoiled toddler when he couldn't get his own way (I'm thinking daddy should've told him NO when he was still said toddler). โช๏ธ He treated his wife Rachael worse than dirt under his shoe for the entire marriage. Actually from when she met him at the end of the aisle. โช๏ธ He violated his marriage vows that he never intended to keep in the first place by cheating on his wife, brazenly. That pig didn't even try and hide it. โช๏ธ He slept with her three times during their marriage and after the last time the pansy assed moron ran off and got a vasectomy. โช๏ธ He humiliated her over and over (though she never pulled him up on it once!) โช๏ธ He allowed his family to treat her like sh!t and never intervened, not once, though he probably wouldn't have anyway because he was doing worse to Rachael.
But see, this is all okay because he cared for his community and his family - NOT his wife - so he was golden. He was not! And him giving his now ex-wife Rachael oral and sending her flowers in no way whatsoever made up for all his vileness. He didn't apologise, he didn't explain, he didn't grovel. He. Did. Nothing. And the final insult - the ex-wife takes him back after the oral and flowers. Still no apology, no grovel, nothing. She was so spineless I don't know how she stood up straight. If ever two characters deserved each other it's these two.
I should've known I was wasting my time with this series when it started going downhill rapidly after book one. I'm thinking this author definitely isn't for me.
This is my fault. I expected Prescott to grovel real hard but it turns out the โGROVELโ was just him sticking his tongue on Rachelโs ๐ฑ and any kinds of sex. And me hoping for Rachel to develop even a LITTLE BIT OF DIGNITY. I expected too much for the served the booktwit hyped about. Itโs my fault.
Going on in this, I thought Prescott is a hard sell. This man cheated on his wife, got another woman pregnant and wasnโt honest with Rachel who heโs trying to make amends with. Neglected Rachel most of the time. Not to mention, that god-awful divorce he served Rachel. So I fully expected Rachel toโฆ have some backbone I guess.
But Rachel is soโฆ PATHETIC I wanted to cry. The body betraying syndrome is still so real I wanna puke while reading her POVs in the present.
Jesus. I just want a female lead in a 2nd chance book to have an ounce of self-respect for once in their pathetic life ๐ญ. Specially when Prescottโs family kinda accused Rachel of making Prescott choose between her and his son like SERIOUSLY ๐ฌ. Prescott was the one who omitted he has a son to Rachel who he swore up and down that he has changed. His grovel consisted of sex and flowers on Monday. And then what did Rachel do after that? Oh right, she ran straight to Prescottโs stinky ๐
On the other hand, Freya never failed to amuse me. Her constant โFavorite brother-in-law!โ Got me laughing ๐คฃ. MaxFreya crumbs are my favorite in this book.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ This book better be Prescottโs whole ass groveling if itโs really a RachelPrescott story because that man is irredeemable in my eyes when it comes to Rachel
Update (3/18) I just saw Home At Last's pinterest board and the book is definitely RachelPrescott. This is the happiest day of my life. We're getting that second chance between divorced couple ๐ซถ
~
Not me sobbing while listening to Little Do You Know by Alex and Sierra knowing it's RachelPrescott's song.
Yes, I'm still mourning about the fact that RachelPrescott is not endgame. Can't believe we're not getting second chance between divorced couple. The serve these two would have been ๐
Don't care about Prescott's book anymore. Give my queen Rachel the book she deserves ๐ซถ๐ป
Ever since I read Itโs Not Home Without You (the first book in this series) I have been waiting for Prescottโs book. I was also so hopeful it would be with Rachel because it felt like they had a lot of healing to do. To say I had high expectations would be an understatement and I was not disappointed!
This story was told in both the past and the present, and I have to admit the past chapters were some of my favorite. It was so painful and I cried but it was nice to see the little ways Prescott showed he care, like buying her flowers every single week.
We also got to see how much Rachel was drowning in her marriage and I just felt so sad for her. She became one of my favorite couples.
โThe flowers didnโt stop coming, but they no longer held their beauty.โ
The present chapters were heartwarming because we got to see Rachel and Prescott fall back together. It really was fate how they kept running into each other.
โI hate youโ โI know.โ
Overall I absolutely adored this book and it was such a great finale to a wonderful series. I loved seeing glimpses into the other couplesโ happily ever afters! I definitely recommend this series and this author!!
Thank you so much to C. Lymari for this arc in exchange for an honest review!
Post release reaction:
Rachel the woman that you are ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ Iโm so glad Prescott earned you ๐ฅบ
Pre release reaction:
I am desperately waiting for this book like you have no idea. Just a few more weeks
This is the best finale for the series. RachelPrescott really did broke my heart and mended it. Claudia really did an amazing job with the development between past and present chapters.
Seeing RachelPrescott pre marriage, post marriage life and how they had grown in their life individually. Prescott bond with his siblings throught out years had me sob like a child like how all the siblings went from envying each other or not caring about each other to having in each other business constantly.
And MAXFREYA MY BABIES, MOSTLY FREYA BEING THE CUTEST PERSON. I was close to tears while reading their crumbs. I want to declare that without freya, max life would be colorless.
The epilogue is everything, I want second gen *fingers cross*
There was no such thing as perfect timing. If you waited around for something to happen, then youโd just look back years later at all the missed opportunities you were too scared to take. I was done with letting my life pass me by.
Home at last is is the last book in the Homecoming series and in my opinion, THE BEST!
Tropes โค๏ธSecond chance romance โค๏ธMarriage in trouble โค๏ธArranged marriage โค๏ธSmall town
I wanted her, even when I hated her.
Triggers for cheating. This book wonโt be for everyone but I absolutely loved seeing Prescott grow from a boy into a man! Those vulnerable moments we got and those moments of quiet love that he showered towards Rachel were everything!
Youโre missing out if you havenโt read this series!
Just bullshit oh my god. Cheating LOSER BASTARD realizing his mistakes late and atoning for them nearly a decade after like itโs a no. Also I wish sheโd kicked him to the curb where was the groveling just insane.
First of all I would like to express how grateful I am to be receiving this arc, cause when i tell you this has been one of my absolute most anticipated reads this year. Home At Last is the final book of the Homecoming series. It can be read as a standalone, however in order to understand the characters and the town as well as the friends and family dynamics it would be advised to read the series in the stated order. This is a second chance romance novel between a divorced couple Prescott and Rachel. I have read my fair share of marriage in crisis and second chance romance novels but this exceeded all. Not a-lot of authors can do justice to this particular trope but C.Lymari has killed it once again. Prescott has been a rather complicated anti-hero who was forced into an arranged marriage with his ex-wife Rachel. After three years of misery he announced his divorce and to his shock Rachel accepted and walked away without so much so as a dime. Now years later he finds himself wanting his ex-wife back and when all seems to be falling into place his past comes knocking at the door. Rachel was somewhat of a surprise even though we had previously seen glimpses of her throughout the series but she quickly became my favourite character, she is strong yet selfless, patient yet knows her worth. Rachel and Prescottโs journey was heart wrenching yet gave me butterflies. Since the book is both set in the past and present we get to see the characters and their journey through their own eyes and perspective with the years and that was a joy to read This book executed the divorced couple, second chance romance trope perfectly. This was one pf my most anticipated reads and it did not disappoint. Usually such books tend to get boring, however i didnโt find myself getting bored once. The only criticism i have to offer is that i wish it was longer the ending even though was beautiful i wish we had gotten more of them.
Re read it for some angst and realised Rachel is far more spineless than I gave her credit for ( except for some good introspection on and admitting her spineless-ness about Prescott) and Prescott was too worse to be liked at all anyway. Even one stars seems too much.
---------
Raise your finger if - - You have had an epic plotline - a second chance after divorce, spanning a decade of their life. - Had the hero cheat on the Heroine while being married to her (which means you could make the groveling epic - on his kness sobbing epic) - but you are too fascinated with insta love even in second chance and mess it all up for no good reason. - Have the Heroine live a lonely life and take the hero back without any actual efforts ( sans a bouquet a week for months) - The hero also had a vasectomy so he won't have children with the Heroine, but will have a sixteen year child showing at his door step anyway
I don't know what else to say except I was so disappointed in this book. Second chance is my favorite romance trope, second chance after a divorce is chef's kiss and this story had so much potential for angst and tears and feels but served mostly nothing.
The flashback moments where we could see Prescott caring about Rachel in a backhanded way was way more feelsy than their entire present and renuion that fell completely flat for me. The narrative is fast paced and hooking, because I started and finished the book in a few hours, but the story serves almost nothing - or didn't to me at least.
The kind of mistakes Prescott made - Rachel deserved to have him crying on his kness and begging for her to take him back. I don't know why we excuse all the mistakes and sins of the hero because โOh, sad pastโ and โOh, I was at fault tooโ. My Girlies deserve more. Rachel deserved much much more.
Not worth it.

I have been waiting on this story for years - YEARS - and let me tell you, Claudia did an AMAZING job!
Put a finger down if you've read this series, and Prescott has made you hate him, love him, feel sorry for him, or if you're like me, all of the above.
Without giving anything away, this story gives us all those answers to the mysterious Prescott and his antihero ways.
I don't think I could have loved Rachel more. She went through so much and still stayed strong.
If you haven't read this series, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? This series immediately became a favorite for me.
If you have read this series, grab a few tissues. You'll cry happy tears and sad tears, but they are ALL worth it!
I want to cry now because it's come to an end and I'm so sad! My attachment to this fictional world is probably a little unhealthy, but I can't help it.
C. Lymari wrote a series that is a little unique and gave this contemporary world a little something different.
If you're looking for an angst filled read full of tears and second chances, pick up this book! Prescott and Rachel are pushed into an arranged marriage by their parents. Prescott is reeling from loss and grief at the time, while Rachel is trying to make the best of her situation. She tries to be the perfect wife, though her husband seems to despise her. Though there are moments of tenderness, they get divorced and separate. Their paths keep crossing over the years until finally Prescott has had enough of watching Rachel walk away. He must convince her he loves her and show her all the little ways he has over the years that she may have misunderstood or missed. But Prescott's past isn't done haunting him yet.
This book just spilled with emotion and left me entranced in how these two could find peace again. Prescott is a grump that was too stuck in the past to see what he had in the present. I loved his possessiveness when he did get on board and his attempts at groveling because he does have so much to answer for! Rachel was full of strength and poise despite appearing differently to others. She withstood so much pain and was resistant to giving Prescott another chance in her life. Together, these two have chemistry but also a connection created by fate itself. I loved seeing them work their way back to each other despite all the heartache. I'm sad to leave this small town behind, but what a story to end on
๐ small town romance ๐ second chance ๐ angst filled ๐ arranged marriage
I generally love second chance romances (years of soap watching) but this one just lacked so much. The two main characters Prescott and Rachel lacked any kind of connection and as a result the sex felt boring and the angst did too. The fact that he treated her like shit during their marriage (including cheating, openly resenting her and getting a vasectomy) made the fact that he suddenly changed his mind hard to take. And by suddenly I mean years )-. Oh and add in he finds out he has a grown child, years after moping and raging that his girlfriend had an abortion and dumped him.
Rachel had signs at times of having a backbone but it never lasted long. And compared to how most of the asshole male leads I read about have been treated as children, well his whining about his came across as more petulant than angry. Also there was little grovel and by grovel I mean apologizing for screwing around, ignoring her years and taking away her choices regarding children. I mean the poor woman had her eggs frozen thanks to this prick!
Don't get me started on how much now hate the phrase 'pretty girl'. Overall the writing wasn't terrible but the book is not one I would buy because it so much I enjoy in contemporary romances was not there. Thanks Kindle Unlimited!
Cheating = H repeatedly cheats on h in their marriage (from gossip, H slept with the whole town of women while married)
Grovel = weak, very weak...H never gets called out for the things he did/said, all his grovel was an apology but no real accountability for what he did or why he did it
I went in blind and havenโt read the previous book in the series. I didnโt know the who are the people in the book but let me tell youโฆ
Home at Last, literally made me felt being home finally! Prescottโฆ WOW Sir! You are something else. Max is right, Prescott is the town grinch but with a tiny heart and that tiny heartโฆhas a big depth to it.
Rachelโฆ goshโฆ how? why? Lady you are a bad a&&! Match Point!
My dear Claudia, you slayed it! I love your little lines here and there. A perfect story for me.
did I sayโฆ Iโm rereading this book since I got the arc? I love few pieces here and there!
They were married for years and then divorced. They kept seeing each other in town from time to time (actually every 2-3years ) and somehow they fell in love. He did, because she already kinda loved him. They became lovers in their almost forties so they wasted 10+ years on god know what.
The only reason I didn't DNF this book was because the story was interesting enough to continue reading.
This book had a lot of potential to be a good second chance romance, but the moment Rachel, the female main character, kissed Prescott, the male main character, right after they meet each other again (so after they divorce), I knew it was doomed.
I would have maybe liked the story better and gave it a 3 star if Rachel had cheated on Prescott as well. My main issue with this story is the fact that Prescott didn't grovel for everything he has done. He cheated, he was a rude asshole, he emotional abused her for absolutely no reason. And the reason as to why he was like that to her was not enough for me. I know what he went through was horrible, but that's not a good reason to treat Rachel the way he did.
Rachel made me angry, because you could feel how much pain and anger Prescott made her go through and yet she forgave Prescott after, what, him giving her flowers? Please. Stand up and look for someone who actually deserves you for what you are and the effort you're putting. Proof that she gave up so quickly:
Prescott cheated throughout their arranged marriage, though he says he didn't after he slept with her the first time, I don't believe it and it also didn't make sense since Rachel hears about it afterwards as well. He's still after his ex, which I truly dislike in books and blaming Rachel on the fact that he couldn't actually be with the ex, because he choose the marry him.
This story was just Prescott finally realizing that he made the wrong choices, he regrets the way he treated Rachel and he's actually in love with her and decide to go after her. LOL. I know for a fact that if they hadn't cross each other's path he wouldn't have gone after her. Also, towards the end, when they're back together Prescott says:
See, because this would have been cute if he hadn't done everything he did. It's easy for him to say something like this when he wasn't the one who was the experiencing all the hurt and pain he caused Rachel. I can't stand him. You would cheat on her again? Abuse her emotionally? Treat her like shit, like she was nothing to the point where when she had an allergic reaction to bees she was afraid you wouldn't save her??? Yeah, no thank you.
TF DID I JUST READ!!! WASTED MY FOUR HOURS! I'm so pissed ryn.. What the hell! The ml constantly cheats and then tells the fl that he won't count it as cheating coz they didnt knew each other and when he slept with the fl he never touched other.. Like that is supposed to make it better somehow!! There was no grovelling. The author wants us to sympathize with the ml so much that she keeps on repeating how much he sacrificed as the eldest. The fl! How could one even go back to such men. Constant cheating. Humiliated Got vasectomy done. And then a kid pops out of nowhere! Have some fuckin self respect girl!
i really wanted to give this a higher rating but girl why did you forgive him so fast???? i needed him to grovel more for what he put you through ๐ญ also the way juliet and jess tried to talk rachel into forgiving him cause THEY think he deserved to be forgiven was giving me gaslighting vibes๐ also the whole son storyline was kinda out of nowhere ๐ญ
anyway still loved rachel so much ๐ซถ๐ผ girly deserves the world!
So I can't wait to read this one the one thing I really hope happens is Prescott getting his vasectomy reverse. Really I think this is a Rachel and Prescott book and let's face it Prescott finding out he has a son but for Rachel it wouldn't be fair when she wants to be a mother. So I really do hope that it one huge way he can show/win her back is getting it reverted
