At the end of 2021, it's the most comprehensive and detailed source of information for everything related to AWS CDK (end-to-end).
That's being said: I've expected much more from that book. I should've put a disclaimer, that I work with AWS CDK since the beta in 2018 - and I haven't found a lot of insights, patterns, and best practices regarding large-scale CDK-based deployments and usage.
Still, I fully support the initial statement that it's a great source of information that contains everything in one place and clearly addresses topics from complete zero to advanced beginner, maybe proficient usage in some regards.
One thing that is extremely important to mention is the effort of translating the code and examples into all supported programming languages. In that regard, this much better source of examples than the AWS documentation itself (especially for languages like Java or .NET).

Awesome book about CDK, including more complex topics like testing the IaC, CI/CD pipelines, upgrading, CDK in Enterprise and more. I highly recommend it!

Still one of the best, if not the best resource to learn AWS CDK.
