More Than A Promise

Rate this book

Lane Cary is a LIAR

Regan trusted him more than anyone, but he’s better at breaking promises than he is at making them. Now he’s gone, living his musician dream in Florida where she would be if her father hadn’t ruined her dreams.

Sure, he apologized. But Regan can’t forgive him so easily this time. So now, she’s all alone. No family, no Lane, nobody.

Except for Cameron.

Cam. The kind of guy who kisses for fun and says Regan has a rebel side to unleash. And she likes him. Or maybe she just wants to feel something other than a broken heart.

Either way, there’s nothing else to do in this small town. And he swears he’ll be everything Regan wants and nothing she doesn’t.

It’s not the first promiseshe’s heard from a boy, and it certainly won’t be the last.

More Than A Promise is the electrifying finale to theMore Than Best Friends saga. With more drama, kissing, and angsty swooniness than ever before, fans of friends-to-lovers won’t be able to stop turning the pages until the tantalizing climax.

All dirt roads lead to this.

Absolutely Amazing!!! If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. The more than friends series is the best I've read in a long time. I couldn't wait for this epic finale. Sally truly delivers. As I was reading this, I could feel all the emotions of every character. This book took me back to my own high school years, where I had the same encounters as Regan. Although mine didn't end quite as well as this series.
Sally has such a way with making you feel as if your Regan or Lane. I can't say to much without giving away the juicy story. All I have to say is I'm very very satisfied with how everything played out. Don't get me wrong, I was a little worried though some of the story. You definitely need a best friend to share things with!!! Thank you so much Sally. This book is definitely the best of all of them!!! 10 starts stars sure! Must recommend and needed read.

This book took a long time to get into. It was all over the place. Once I finally got into it. It was a good book. Lane decided to go on tour and left her behind. She was still in high school and was trying to figure out what she would do. They ended up finally working it out.

I was provided this book due to being part of the ARC team and was super excited to get my hands on it. Typically, I tend to enjoy more dark romances than feels good but back in December I found this series and it intrigued me. I quickly became a fan and when I got to the end of the third book, I was anxious to see what was going to happen next between Regan, Lane, and Cameron.

As soon as I started reading this book, I could not put it down. I had to know what was going to happen. The entire read was an emotional rollercoaster (the good kind). I found myself crying a few times when some things occurred. Coming into it, I wasn't sure how I wanted it to end but I was incredibly happy with the outcome of the book.

Sally does an amazing job describing what it is like to fall in love the first time and deal with the different obstacles that come with distance, slight age gaps, and dealing with other contributing factors around you (such as family, other interests, etc). The only thing that could have made it better was to get an idea of what the future entailed for the characters.

It's a must read and I definitely think you'll enjoy it!

I really enjoyed "More Than A Promise" by Sally Henson. I had the pleasure of receiving a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and I'm happy to say I would pay full price for any of her books. This series has been a joy to read from the first book to this one. Each story builds on the last and this author does an amazing job writing storylines that grab you and take you on a rollercoaster of emotions just as real-life does. The writing is outstanding and the characters are engaging and make you fall in love with each of them - rooting for their happily ever after. I'm sad to see this series come to an end, but I know it will be one that I will re-read when I need some feel-good entertainment.
I highly recommend adding this book/series to your collection.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

I had the opportunity to read more than a promise and I can say that, like the whole saga, I loved it!!! I started reading more than best friends when, in an attempt to calm my anxiety over the onset of the pandemic, I took refuge in reading, and among the many books I read during those months, I found this saga.

Its amazing how Sally Henson makes you live the whole story as if you were part of it, as if you were close to the characters,or even more as if you were themselves. And its also amazing how real it becomes, I think that everyone who reads it will be able to feel identified with some event, emotion or feeling that the characters have gone through. I feel that is an ideal way to talk about the importance of having people who are your support, and that is normal to go through difficult situation but that will not always be like that, and that you are not alone.

Congratulations Sally, for the scope of your story, and thank you for putting your soul into this.

Long awaited and I’ll admit I was a bit worried because I’ve had very particular idea about what should take place in this book and I’ve been super nervous about what would actually happen. See? They become real people to you by the time you’re this far in. New Moon, anyone? I was definitely kept on pins and needles! I don’t think I’ve ever held my breath so much in a book, nor cared about the outcome. I’ve got to admit, I was thrown and tossed here and there with this book. So much more than I could ever have thought up or expected. An amazing end to this saga.

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

An amazing end to a fantastic coming of age series!

This finale held my interest from the very beginning, once I started reading I couldn’t put it down! Such a wonderful book about growing up, losing love, gaining yourself and in the end fighting for what and who you want. This entire series was so well thought out with multiple characters, set in a country setting. Highly recommend!

I definitely love it! Regan and Lane’s story caught me since the first book. Now in this 5th book of the series everything gets better and better. They are many emotions, laughter, anxiety, despair, crying, joy, everything. The G5s are still present, things change, the years pass and you see growth and maturity in them. I really loved it. I’m such a desperate romantic.

Love the the way Regan and Lane were able to end up together. Like she should be since the beginning in book 1. Regan did the right thing by pushing Lane away and thank God he realized that and didn't fully walk away from her. I'm going to def read the extra that I got emailed so I can feel like the storyline is finished. What a great friend to lovers story. Thanks Sally!!!!!

The (almost) finale of the Regan Stone series. In this novel, Regan has reached her senior year in high school, and she's also trying to get over Lane and her father's betrayal from the previous novel. While not as polished as the earlier novels in this series, it was nice to read about the ultimate ending for these characters. *Be sure to join the author's mailing list to read the final novella that really ends this series, "More Than Forever."
