I can't remember who I saw reading this book but it showed up in my feed shortly after I read another Santa erotica, SANTA CLAUS IS GOING TO TOWN ON ME. When I saw THE NAUGHTY LIST, I was like, "Whoa, there's another one?" Which was a stupid question because of course there is. There's like fifty COVID erotica so why wouldn't there be at least that many Santa eroticas? Exactly.
I'm sorry to say I couldn't get into this one at all. It wasn't freaky or weird enough to be funny and it wasn't quite serious or developed enough to be good. SANTA CLAUS IS GOING TO TOWN ON ME hit that sweet spot of being both sincere and ironic, which is why I ended up giving it a three. This book just reads like an erotic fantasy. Which is fine, but obviously I'm going to side-eye the heroine when a strange man in a Santa suit breaks into her house and her first instinct is not to call the police, but to lick her finger and start circling her nipple. Okay.
IDK, maybe you'll get more enjoyment out of this than me.

I like this take on Santa being that there’s different generations and the reins (literally 🤣) get passed down. And I’m all for a tattooed, muscled, silver fox Santa. He can come down my chimney anytime.
Nice segue when he said one of his favorite movies was Alien and one of his reindeer was named Ripley. Santa and his reindeer are magical but not immortal, interesting. And I’ll agree to disagree on their mutual love of Mamma Mia, ugh.

I mean... I guess you can call this character Santa but it's only vaguely/quickly established before the almost divorced Kate and the tattooed and muscular Nikolai are jumping into relations with each other. The book is meant to be a lot of fun and I wanted to read it to include it on the holiday reading recommendations I plan to put together. It's definitely not for prudish readers who want the fatsuit Mrs. Claus dancing around in the end credits by the end of movie 2, not that I'm thinking about that very chaste Santa Clause version or anything.
I took issue with this author's more recent novella and its epilogue so when I saw one coming I almost skipped it, but this one has no baby. Thank goodness.
You know what? It's not the author's fault but this isn't really my thing, it's almost all sex and very little story. But it does have a great cover.

I just devoured The Naughty List and it was an absolute delight to read! This took “I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus” to a whole new sexy world and I was here for every second of it. The heroine is a 40-something curvy single mom who reads romances and gets the surprise of her life when a sexy silver-fox cinnamon-roll Santa (with some alpha tendencies) shows up and is ready to take her on the sleigh ride of her life! 😉 I loved the writing, the banter, all the sexy times (hello all the steam and sex positivity 🙌🏼🔥), and how we totally get to know both of these characters & their wants/needs. All the stars for this novella, such a fun time and the best of holiday treats!

3.5⭐ This shocked me with how stinkin' adorable it was! I was fully expecting this to be over the top and kind of cheesy, but this was really sweet! I loved that this featured older main characters (I believe they're both in their 40s) and despite the short page count, I totally bought into their romance.
This is my second novella by this author and I've really enjoyed them both! I can't wait to pick up more from them in the future!

- Author changed Santa from being a fat man, which holds up the notion that fat people are not desirable. We NEED more fat men in romance and erotica. Like, you're not attracted to Santa if you are making him thin, authors. You're just attracted to the idea of a magical stranger coming into your home and pleasuring you. So leave Santa alone and write THAT idea.
- The constantly shifting POV was too much for me. One POV per chapter is one thing, shifting within a single scene within a chapter is too head-hoppy for me to find enjoyable.
- I get that it's erotica, but a little more build-up would've been great. I'm demisexual; I get nothing from zero emotion being presented on the page.

Honestly, could've been a LOT worse. It wasn't terrible but I don't think I'll read this ever again if I'm honest. This truly is Santa smut. Kate is a soon-to-be-divorced mother of two who has been craving the touch of another for the past year. Her ex-husband is dumb and out of the picture, so she has been... self-reliant.
It's Christmas and her husband surprised the kids with a trip that she couldn't say no to, so she's alone - which is how Nikolai finds her. He's doing his infamous delivery when he comes across Kate half-naked and alone, and although Kate wakes up and thinks she is seducing Santa in her sleep, she suddenly is very aware that this is very real. The two have a spicy time-stopping night together and Santa definitely comes somewhere.....

THE NAUGHTY LIST was super sexy and super hot! A quick little read that still packs in a lot of heart and romance as Kate and Nikolai spend an amazing night together. Now I'll admit I wasn't really sure about the "sexy Santa" thing but this is not the elderly Santa I was imagining (thank goodness!), instead "Santa" is a family job. Nikolai might have the white hair and beard but he's muscled, tattooed, and even has a nipple ring. He's also not surprisingly a cinnamon roll hero who adores Kate and worships her body. Kate might be a bit dented from her divorce but she's confident, vocal about what she wants in bed, and more than happy to be on Santa's naughty list. Together they were on fire and I couldn't put this down. Overall, I loved how sex positive THE NAUGHTY LIST was and how gentle and caring Nikolai was with Kate.
