Fun celebrity romance!

I love a good second-chance love story! Madison works as a costume designer on a popular TV show, she is upset to learn that the lead actor has been replaced by her former fiancé! The sparks fly between these two! They haven't seen each other in a couple years, but the old feelings come back quickly once they're reunited. I thought Caleb and Madison had great chemistry. Madison had some valid concerns and I like that they had to work together to overcome them.

This was originally a short story in part of the Under the Mistletoe Collection. It has been extensively lengthened and re-written. I remembered loving the short story version and was excited to see it expanded.

Overall, a fun read with likable characters, swoony romance and fun setting.

Content: Clean romance, just kissing. No language or violence.

New and Improved

I'd just reread this story in the Under the Mistletoe Timeless Romance Collection, I thought I didn't need to read it again, until I started reading. I loved Caleb and Madison. His swoony accent, her dedication to her sister and niece. There were laugh out loud moments and growth as Madison and Caleb learned how to navigate his career and trust each other.
Even though I'd read this story, it's been fleshed out more and has a brand new epilogue. Whether it's your first time reading it, or a reread, it's definitely worth it!

Sweet

I'm a sucker for a sweet celebrity romance and this book delivers a good one. Madison and Caleb had a chance years ago at the start of his fame, but doubts and insecurities got in the way. Back again and determined to win her over, Caleb's charm and wit won me over and I was cheering him on in his efforts.

But honestly, for me personally, I would completely identify with Madison's concerns and feelings, as they would mirror each other. It would be hard to be in a relationship with a Hollywood heartthrob and be secure enough in our relationship to never question fans, co-stars, or media's attempts at creating a romance.

Anderson has a way of writing that evokes real emotion and never fails to make me smile. I loved the added content and thought a better developed story resulted, leaving me utterly satisfied.

Content: mild romance (kissing, slight innuendo)

Super sweet, clean romance story. This book was part of an anthology but was recently rereleased and lengthened to novella length. I had read the original anthology a few years ago and this one had been my favourite story in it. I recommend it. Great book.

I'd give this more than 5 stars if I could!!!

Be warned...major gushing ahead!!! Just saying! ;-)

Y'all, I could not get enough of this book! I was in a bit of a book slump. Not due to the books themselves but just a lot that has been happening in life the last couple months that has just been hard. My brain couldn't focus. Normally I can power through a book super fast, in a day. But the last couple months it's taken me a couple weeks (almost a month for one book) to finish books. Yikes!!! Just long days, emotions, frustrations, and exhaustion, that I'd lay down in bed and try to read but wouldn't get past one sentence many nights. Hahaha! I finished one book though and had this one waiting for me in my inbox. I adore Cindy Roland Anderson's books. I thought, I'll open it, read just the first couple pages and go to bed. I didn't start reading this until about midnight (it was a long day and I didn't get to bed until late, finished reading the last chapter of a book before picking this one up). As I picked this up with my intention of a page or two, I was messaging a friend who was up late reading as well. She told me that I wasn't going to get any sleep if I started it. Hahaha! She was so right. I was hooked from the very beginning. I couldn't put it down. I devoured it. I was tired the next day. But honestly, it was just what I needed. My brain needed a rejuvenation. Thank you Cindy Roland Anderson for your words that brought joy and laughter and smiles and giggles and butterflies.

I absolutely fell in love with Madison and Caleb's characters. They were such a cute couple. They have some history...they were previously engaged and something happened. I loved when she first discovered that he was going to be the new Lancelot for the TV show and she had to work with him everyday. *squeal* I am a refined and mature adult woman. Hahaha. But I giggled over that. I did. How can you not? That scene had me giggling and sighing and just all around smiling. I did have to be careful that I wasn't giggling and laughing too loudly because my whole family was fast asleep, you know it being after midnight. *smirk*

If you have read this author's books before then you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't read her books before, just trust me on this one, grab a copy and dive in. It was darling. There's so much goodness inside these pages. Family, friends, work, laughter, swoony-ness, butterflies, tears, tears from laughing, second chances, Christmas, an amazing epilogue, surprises galore, misperceptions, kisses and much, much more.

Just don't start it late at night like I did, at least if you have a full day ahead the following day. You have been warned.

Content: Clean. Some mild innuendos, some kisses (on scene kisses for the show as well).

I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

I was so excited to see that Cindy Roland Anderson had a new book out! I love the way she writes her books. She always has great characters and plots. Her books always make me smile. This book saved me from waiting in boring lines so many times on my vacation last month. Do you always have to have a book with you to save you from boredom?

I loved Madison in this book! It was pretty funny how she ended up having to work for her ex-fiancé when she wasn’t planning to ever see him again. Madison is the kind of girl who helps her single mom sister, Jenny, out every day. They work together to take care of the baby. I loved her character!

Caleb is great too! I loved the way he went out of his way to help Madison out. What guy, let alone a famous one, is going to loan a girl his car so she doesn’t have to drive hers that doesn’t work? But he did. And so many other things as well.

I loved the way these two worked through their issues. And the ending was the best! I’m really hoping that Jenny gets her own story sometime.

I first read this story several years ago when it appeared as Forgotten Kisses, a short story in a Christmas romance anthology. I enjoyed Madison and Caleb’s story and their second chance at love. Second Chance Kisses is an extended version of this story. Madison and Caleb are very likable characters and it’s fun to read more about their story. I liked that Madison’s sister, Sarah and her love interest Jake’s story was also told in more detail. A great Christmas romance!

I really liked the idea of this book, but novellas tend to disappoint me because everything wraps up too fast in the end. I would enjoy this story better as a developed novel.

This was just okay for me. At one point, the character points out that it feels a little like a Christmas Hallmark movie. Actually, it totally feels like that. Very formulaic. The title is very appropriate, because "kisses" (and snogging) is talked about a LOT (nothing beyond kisses - this is PG/Hallmark). While I can't put my finger on anything specifically negative about the writing, it just didn't have that complete flow that some writers obtain. It felt simple, self-published, just not quite on the level. Like "He longed for her sweet kisses instead of the fake ones he exchanged with his co-stars."

For such a short book, it got quite repetitive with the "oh, I don't trust men because of Dad" (who cheated on her mother) and the MC had such issues that it did seem insurmountable, as the guy in question is an actor who is constantly cast in love scenes on set. I actually didn't feel it was something Madison could overcome, and I wasn't even rooting for the relationship.

I love P&P ... I'm not sure if I loved the allusion to it here (maybe because it was more to the movie than to the actual work). I'm NOT a big Merlin fan ... not that you need to be. That's just the what the series the crew is working on. I don't know if that made a couple metaphors more appropriate ... or just a tad corny (ie "Wishing he had Merlin’s magic" and "Caleb’s blood turned to ice as if he’d just confronted a dragon without a weapon."

So, just 2.5 stars for me. Maybe I'm just too jaded to enjoy something so sweet and simple. Maybe more aimed for the "Hallmark Movie" crowd.

Madison is a costume designer for a popular show and lives in her family home and is helping her younger sister with her 8 month old daughter. She is also trying to pay off her student debts and her parent’s debts who were killed a year ago. She is shocked to find that the lead actor who she was in charge of dressing has been replaced by her former fiancé, Caleb, who she broke up with because she thought he was unfaithful and couldn’t be trusted. Her father hd also been an actor who had cheated on her mother but now Caleb wants a second chance to clear up the misunderstanding with Madison because he till loves her. Will Madison be willing to follow her heart and trust Caleb with a second chance at love?

I loved this second chance at love shorter story and highly recommend it. The author did a great job showing you how both Madison and Caleb thought and why they acted as they did. Madison had to learn to trust Caleb’s love for her and her friends and family tried to help her see that he deserved her trust. The epilogue was a perfect ending for their story.

This romance story is romantic and clean with a touch of steam. The main characters, Madison and Caleb, used to be engaged but they broke up because Madison lost trust in Caleb. Now, two years later, Caleb shows up as the replacement for another leading actor in a popular TV show where Madison works as a costume manager. Caleb sets to work to win his love back but can she ever trust him when his job requires him to kiss and woo his onscreen love interests? What will it take to bring this appealing twosome together? Highly recommend! I was entrusted with a copy of this book by the author and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Second Chance Kisses is a sweet, heartwarming, second chance romance. Both Caleb and Madison are very likeable characters. I really enjoyed Madison's devotion to her sister and niece. I also enjoyed Caleb's fighting for Madison - even if it took him two years to realize hoe wrong he had been not to fight for her the first time. Yes. there are a bunch of jerks in the movie industry, but there are also some wonderful people like William and his wife. This book grabbed my interest immediately and did not let go even when I reached the end!

I was disappointed that the story of Caleb and Madison is retold under a different name, was previously a short story Forgotten Kisses in the Under the Mistletoe Collection. However still a enjoyable read I could identify with Madison’s fight against her jealousy. A clean romance as always by a skilled writer.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author, I was not required to write a positive review

I understand Madison’s fear. I had a husband that for some reason women seemed to like to flirt with and hit on. The first few times it was sort of funny but that soon paled. I really can’t imagine having to watch him kiss someone else regularly. Caleb was a nice guy but he really failed to realize Madison’s deep-seated insecurity. Yea for William. This story was almost painful to read but was well done and overall enjoyable.

This is a sweet romance. I loved Caleb! He is everything a great guy should be and has a British accent to boot! Madison has trust issues because of her Father. I did understand Madison's point of view with Caleb being an actor and having several kissing scenes. I would have issues with that as well. This is a delightful second chance sweet romance.

This was a cute story of second chance love for Madison Taylor and Caleb Matthews who broke up two years ago but fate seemed to bring them back together if Madison could trust Caleb, an actor. My favorite part of the whole book was the epilogue which was really romantic. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Delightful

There was a lot to love about this story. It was still ridiculous to imagine being married to a movie star and having to watch him kissing all those women. I couldn't do it.

I really liked this story. It was fun reading it and remembering the original story. But this one was much better. It was great to see Caleb deal with all of Madison's concerns. To let her know she could rely on him. What a great Happily Ever After!

This is a fun novelette that's worth the read with cute characters and their very realistic emotions. And let me just say that Madison is a lot more forgiving/understanding/confident (keep going with more adjectives) than I am.
