I hated him.

From the moment I walked into Tig’s Tattoo and Piercing I’d hated him.

Garret was beautiful—because that was the way that fate worked and also because if I’d had anything in my life, it was bad luck. Still, with his derisive green eyes, tats peeking out from beneath the edges of his sleeves, and the scruff on his jaw, he was the sexiest man I’d ever seen in my life.

He also seemed to delight in disrupting my life.

I was there to fix a few pipes; he was there as a guest artist. I was there to do a job, he seemed to take pleasure in upsetting mine.

I was a grown up.

He was a tattooed troublemaker.

This was not going to end well.

Tattooed Troublemaker is a standalone story inspired by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward’s (Stuck-Up Suit). It's published as part of the Cocky Hero Club world, a series of original works, written by various authors, and inspired by Keeland and Ward's New York Times bestselling series.

First things first. Let’s take a moment and block out all thoughts of anything from our brains so that we may appreciate this lickalicious cover #winning

Now, about this story.

I think I have read just about every theme/trope imaginable with my obsessive like of this author. She is as multifaceted as they come, and I love her for it. One thing I can always count on with Elise is female character growth sass and grit. I absolutely love every single female lead this woman has ever written. Not that the men aren’t likable, quite the opposite, but they’re too much of a given in this genre. Alpha females with sass and grit are hard to come by and Elise represents every single time!

Charlie and Garret sparked from the moment they hit the page. Their story was a little bit sweet and sexy with a whole lot of heart. Their chemistry was incredible, and the story building was very on point. I liked that it felt very real and relatable. We all come with baggage and history and it’s always nice to read when two people with such weight on their souls find the perfect match to help them alleviate that weight. *happy sigh*

This is a good one guys. You’ll want to read this story #trust

Tattooed Troublemaker was a story that held me captive to the pages from start to finish. Garrett and Charlie have a chemistry that radiates from the pages and permeates your skin. It was a story that took you full circle, it had witty banter, emotional struggles, passion, drama and the intensity between these two was electric. The flirting and the steamy moments will have your senses tingling. A great story that intertwined with the Cocky Hero World seamlessly.

This book is part of the cocky hero collection and is a great addition into this world. I really love how this author writes her stories and I love her style and once you open this book you are hooked from the very beginning.

Garret is a tattooist and has also been thorough so much in his life and when he opens the door to the person to fix the leak she was most defiantly not what she was expecting.
Charlie is a beautiful woman who has been through a huge tragedy when she was younger. She has come a long way and is stronger and is now a plumber and when she gets called to fix a broken pipe and meets Garret for the first time. Theses two both have a past and weren't looking for love or a relationship but they have great banter together, but they have also been through a lot of pain in there lives and they were not expecting each other.

I enjoyed reading this book and the story line flows beautifully throughout. I enjoyed reading about these characters and how this author has written them. There were moments that made me laugh and made me really feel and the chemistry between these two was amazing. This book oozed passion and the pages turned themselves. This book had my emotions all over and at times I really felt for the characters and what they went through. This book is a fantastic addition into this world and I cant wait to see what this author writes next.

To say Garret handled badly the surprise of the plumber he called being a woman is a slight understatement. Said woman, Charlie, may not have reacted well to Garret's chauvinistic reaction, but she certainly noticed her friend Tig's new guest tattooist was hot! But she wasn't open to love, to relationships, to dating, to men, period, so there was no chance of her acting on the attraction, even if he had been remotely as attracted to her as she was to him.

Garret was hurt by an ex and carried that baggage with him, just as Charlie carried the scars of her past with her. Did that mean these two damaged people didn't have a chance in hell of ever being together?

Charlie and Garret are quiet fire together. I like how low key but emotionally substantial their story is, how well they ended up fitting together, and ultimately, how sweet they were, even when they were snarking at each other. Tattooed Troublemaker is sweet, sexy and witty, a great addition to the Cocky Hero Club.

Charlie has to put up with the judgement of others. She’s also not had an ideal life but she’s learned to make due with what life has handed her. Garret is a man that may have certain opinions but is willing to have his mind changed. He’s had things happen in his life that may have skewed his way of seeing things.

These are two people that couldn’t be more opposite but also have some things that may seem similar. He’s a man who fits the term “cocky” or is it that he’s just arrogant. Or is it that he’s confident of who he is? Charlie is willing to stand up for herself. She’s learned that if she doesn’t who will? Maybe they’re just a piece of a puzzle that needs to find the other piece so that things fall into place. I loved watching their interactions – you will find it hard not to chuckle.

We have secondary characters that are there to be both a sounding board as well as the voice of reason. This story is an inspiration from a book written by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. Now your decision has to be which story do you want to read first. Maybe read this one first and then check out Stuck-Up Suit”. Then if you decide you want to read the book again, you could switch it up and read the other book first.

The story doesn’t seem rushed at all. Everything went smoothly and it gave me an ending that had me thinking “typical for Garret and Charlie”. The only thing I had trouble figuring out was how he was a troublemaker. Maybe when you read it you can figure out what I seem to have missed. But make no mistake, that one word did not stop me from loving the book.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

4.5 Stars for Tattooed Troublemaker ( Cocky Hero Club)
Another great addition to the world of Cocky Hero’s and another fairly new author for me to follow.
Tattooed Troublemaker is a fun, entertaining read that’s full witty banter and plenty of sass, it’s Charlie and Garrett’s story and it’s a tale that will captivate you from the first page to the last line.
Charlie and Garrett are both broken, they are both hiding from painful pasts and just doing what is needed to get by but a chance meeting over a broken pipe has all sorts of feelings coming to the surface for both of them but will they be brave enough to take one more chance on happiness.....
Tattooed Troublemaker ticked my boxes, I laughed and smiled at the witty banter, I swooned at the steamy, sizzling chemistry this couple shared and I fell hook, line and sinker for this adorable couple. So I guess all’s that’s left for me to say is please one click this gem of a read, you won’t be disappointed. Great job from the very talented Ms Faber.

I am a huge fan of Elise Faber’s books and Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward’s Cocky Hero Club and was so very excited to read this book!

Tattooed Troublemaker is exactly what I’ve come to expect from one of Elise. Her main characters are strong, beautiful and complicated and she writes them beautifully.

Both Charlie and Garrett are hiding painful pasts and living a meager existence causing them more pain than necessary. Stuck in their heads and their suffering, neither is prepared for the impact the other will have on their lives.

The witty banter and on point exchanges between them, was sassy, sexy, and endearing. Watching them overcome their pasts in order to have a bright and promising future together, made this a read-in-one-sitting book.

Tattooed Troublemaker gets the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval and is a wonderful addition to the Cocky Hero Club, TBR and Enjoy!

This is only my second time reading this author and I don’t know what it is but I can’t get enough!! Her characters are well developed in the storyline is intriguing and fun. Charlie and Garret’s chemistry is off the charts and they really balance each other out well. The banter between Garret and Charlie is filled with so much sexual tension it’s almost palpable from the pages. They both are chasing demons from their past that affect they are relationship. This author does such a good job as having the readers really feel what the characters are feeling. Great addition to the The Cocky Hero Club series!!

Tattooed Troublemaker is a fun and easy read, full of pipe puns and sass.

I loved Charlie, she is an awesome boss be-atch with oodles of spine and so much tenacity and grit. Garret is just this big bad softie, trying to overcome his past and heal a broken heart.
Together, their chemistry is off the charts, their rapport is hilarious and their story is highly entertaining.

This is DNF for me! I'm 30% in and I'm skipping paragraphs just trying to get through. A book should not make you feel annoyed or just finish this book already feeling! It should make you feel immersed into the story and characters. Both main characters are A-nnoy-ing!!! Both seem emotional crippled and unable to move past it. I know what they've went through was crazy and heartbreaking but this book isn't that long and if I had to hear about Lorna and what she did to him ONE MORE TIME, I was going to loose my $h!t!!! Hence deciding to END this book rather than throw my kindle or best my head against the wall!I
I applaud this author for putting her heart, hard work and stories out there, this book just isnt for me! Thank goodness it's a free read with K.U.

Tattooed Troublemaker is a part of the Cocky Hero Club series and features tattoo artist Garret and plumber Charlie. Their first meeting when Charlie came to fix a burst pipe at the tattoo parlor that Garret works at set the tone for their relationship: snarky quips and steamy sparks flying between them. Garret is only doing a guest spot at the tattoo parlor for a few months and recovering from a toxic relationship, so he's hesitant about acting on his attraction to Charlie. Both characters deal with quite a bit of internal struggles and have to undergo reflection about their past choices and actions before they have the courage to pursue a relationship with each other.

I love a strong heroine, and that's what Charlie is. After aging out of foster care, she's really had to focus on taking care of herself, taking an apprenticeship as a plumber rather than going to college to study psychology. She doesn't have that many friends or family, and her goals are practical and based on survival: get a bigger apartment, expand her business. I love that she is also so adaptable: she takes care of herself and is not dependent on anyone, she works in a male dominated industry but she is also quite feminine, and though she's gone through some trauma when she was young, she doesn't self destruct or wallow in self pity. While Garret is cocky, deep down inside he is gentle, suffers from insecurity issues, and tries to find out who he truly is without allowing his past relationship and his family issues to define him. While they have many differences, there are more similarities between them, such as their desire to create a family who loves and accepts them, to be independent and successful with their own business, and to have courage to pursue a relationship. I'm hoping their happily ever after includes lots of bubble baths that smells like the tropics, lots of double fudge brownie ice cream, with a sprinkling of Cosmo magazines in case Garret needs some inspiration to keep Charlie happy.

Don't let the title fool you 'Tattooed Troublemaker is a deeply emotional story wrapped up in a well written book. Elise Faber has produced a romance that has both Charlie (Charlotte) and Garett dealing with pain and betrayal that span's years. One from a relationship and one from family.

"I was just a broken, scared girl underneath everything, someone that everyone in my life had left behind without a second thought".

Charlie has been on her own since her parents were killed tragically when she was 11 and add in the further betrayal of her grandmother, Charlie has learned how to look after herself now she own's her own business as a plumber she can stand on her own two feet even if it is lonely most of the time. Charlie didn't have time for relationships in her words which I love "emotional vampires, that was what men were". So she really didn't need to be swooning over the brooding tattoo artist Garett that worked at the shop she was currently fixing the plumbing in! But out of nowhere Garett becomes her new addiction even if most of the time he doesn't know how to crack a smile!

"I was broken. Charlie was broken. But I was also toxic".

Garett's broken comes from being betrayed by his girlfriend and deep rooted feelings of loss that he has carried around since his was a boy. Although Garett is attracted to Charlie more so than he ever thought possible he won't bring her down into the toxic he thinks surround him. Before the walls can come the two have to heal what is broken inside them before they can see what could lie before them together.

This story is not a slow burn it is fast paced with a great big punch to the heart!

Another excellent addition to the Cocky Hero Club!

When Charlie was 11, she endured a tragedy that not only left a huge hole in her life but shaped her future. She now manages her own plumbing business and although she doesn’t allow many people close Tig and Delia are the exception. When she finds herself working at Tig’s business she meets Garret, and they are drawn to each other in a way that neither expected or wants.

Garret is a tattooist who is temporarily workings at Tig’s studio to put some distance between him and his past. He is attracted to Charlie, but he also knows that she is special and believes that she deserves so much better than him.

This is a story about two people who still carry the emotional scars of the past. There is no denying the chemistry between them but if they are to have a future together, they both must heal from their pasts.

Charlie(Charlotte) is a feisty plumber trying to make enough money to go back to school. As she is working on her friends’ tattoo studio she runs into a cocky, heartbroken Garret who hides behind his pain from a cheating ex.
Both having abandonment issues that cause complications with their attraction to one another.
But when they finally give in to their chemistry, the heat they create is smoking.

There were quite a few times the characters were repetitive in their inner battles but as long as that doesn’t bother you, the story was enjoyable. I just struggled with it myself however it could have been my current state of mind as it felt to me a little excessive.

Overall, this was a very sweet heartwarming love story. Quite a few laugh out loud moments will keep you smiling and turning the page.

let me just start with Charlie. A female working in a male dominated industry. She has overcome a tragic past. It has made her stronger, determined but a little closed off. Her circle is small. Garrett past while not tragic was painful. He becomes somewhat of a jerk. He is a traveling Taylor artist. He has been moving around to distract his mind from his heartbreak. When he meets Charlie, he gives her a hard time. The chemistry between them is hot. The banter is fun and sexy. The story is written from the point of view of both characters. You get a glimpse of the pain in their past and how it shaped them. The story is easy to follow. Full of emotion and fun.

Charlie & Garrett have erected large, thick walls around their hearts, so they are both surprised that with each other things are so... Easy. Will they let their insecurities ruin the best thing they've ever had?

With his cringe-worthy blunder hanging in the air when Charlie turns out to be the very female plumber that his boss hired, Garrett finds himself enticed by her fire and sass. Though he knows he only planned on staying a short while, he finds himself drawn into Charlie. He wants to know what makes her so defensive, as well as how to chase the pain in her eyes away.

Charlie can't help but notice how hot her friend Tig's guest tattoo artist is, but she knows that she's not the type to inspire people to stay, so she tries her best to pretend that the only feelings Garrett stirs in her are of the I-hate-you-so-much variety.

I liked how sweet and steamy their romance is. It is seemingly a low-key love story, but the story is pretty deep. As usual, Elise Faber did an excellent job of creating a story that tugs at your heartstrings. It is a perfectly awesome addition to the Cocky Hero Club.

I recommend this read unreservedly.

I enjoyed this story via audiobook narrated by Jason Clarke and Michelle Ferguson. Both did a great job playing their different roles and there is nothing bad that can be said about Jason Clarke's beautifully growly voice.

The story was sweet. Garrett is a tattoo artist who is visiting his friend. Charlie (love her) is a plumber who is strong and sweet. She was a fantastic character who, while so nice, stood up for herself. There was chemistry between the characters and I enjoyed listening to them banter. The story did lose me sometimes because I felt like there was a heck of a lot of push and pull for a 5.5 hour listen but overall, I can see how their past, which was well covered, led to the way the characters acted. Overall, an enjoyable listen!

Good read

Liked Charlie and Garret a lot as a couple and was a good read. Started off strongly but did start losing some of that with me when Charlie got cold feet and fixated on being on holiday from real life and Garrett hung up on the past. Picked up nicely and well worth the read.

I don't see Garret as cocky. Maybe a little in the beginning when he first met Charlie. No, that wasn't even cocky.

I wanted him to grow up and get over the bitch.

Charlie deserved to be treated better and I wish he had done more to make it up to her.

Instead of cocky, he was more of an asshole.

Maybe 3.5 stars.

I enjoyed the characters. It was fresh for me - I’ve never read anything featuring a tattoo artist and a plumber. 😃

But the storyline was also believable (even with the twist regarding Garret at the end!) and flowed well ... not too much drama, but not fluffy at all.

Thanks to Kindle Unlimited for the promotional trial that allowed me to read this!

I had to force myself to finish this. Didn't really care for either character that much. He was a whiny baby IMO and she claimed everyone left her, but really she left people. Way to instalove. I get that is sort of the theme with these books, but one week and a few conversations was too much. Skimmed 50% of this.
