I love reading books about werewolves shifters. Blu met her true mate in Jax. She was told the story about how her parents met. This man Yusef trying to make Blu his mate because of something between their family years ago. Jax and Blu wasn't having that. Everything was taking care of. Hopefully their is a next book about Deadwood and Pix. Good quick read.
This book gave me life. I love the dynamics between Blu’s crew/family. Hoss had me cracking all the way up talking about Jax and the BabyBoy (Ving Rhames) reference. I still got tears running down my face. If you want a nice yet quick thrill, I truly recommend this book. I’m looking forward to this turning into an amazing series.
I really enjoyed this book. Jax is really funny and cocky as hell, he's lucky Blu gave in to him the way she did. I loved how they all came together to defeat the stupid wolf.
I loved this story ...albeit there were alot of repetitive words/ phrases. I loved the characters, hopefully there will be more to each character's story.
Enjoyable though a short read. It is a shame that the writer could not have given the reader much more insight into the characters, especially Jax, the male protagonist. His sudden and coincidental appearance in the area where Blu lives. Their instantaneous attraction, though explainable, shortens the build up of their relationship which is half the fun of reading romances, in my view. However it does introduce the readers to other characters who will be the focus of other stories in the series. It was worth the read and can be read on Kindle Unlimited. I shall be reading the other books in the series, I just hope they are not as short as this was. Butt on the whole an enjoyable read with likable characters
I love shorts, and this one had potential but it was missing one key component, the attraction between the leads. Their first sighting of each other was strange as all get out & then with their first encounter they are mates.
I’m ok with the mate part but before that and out of the blue, for real no pun intended, he flips her the bird? I couldn’t connect them hooking up when that was the first impression he wanted to make when they didn’t know each other.
And yes there are editing errors, but I’m a read between the lines reader. It gave me hiccups but not enough to throw me completely off.
But...none of that will keep me from moving to the next book in the series because this author is a boss, I’m thinking and hoping this is a one off 🙂.

When Blu was young her mother was killed by another wolf pack. Since he parents were true mates, she watched her father suffer for many years to come. When he gets killed in the line of duty she realizes she all alone. She is content being alone and independent until Jax walks into her tattoo shop. That's when all hell breaks loose.
Blu a tattoo artist and wolf, living in the US. Raised by her parents, who had fled Africa because they were true mates. Blu finds herself coming face to face with her true mate, Jax. While trying to get her mind around that trouble comes from Africa. I would have enjoyed their story more if it wasn't for the profanity.
I know this is a short story, but it's so short I didn't even connect with the characters. Don't get me started on how a lot of the characters also speak bits of ebonics. There were also some editing issues. I think this story had potential, but just fell short and is forgettable.
I'm not a big fan of shifter stories but this caught my attention. I love a story that doesn't mess around and the alpha male claims his strong female. All of the right plays were there without being over the top. I liked this one enough. Not sure I will read the rest of the series. I have to be in the mood for these types of stories to read and appreciate them.
I liked the over all story of where Blu was from and her true mate Jax. Oh and the danger. However what I didn't like was the Author is telling the story one way then changes it. Not sure if it was to show that they were both of a different race or what.
Fast paced from being to end. Having a family that is made up of several different shifters that have come to be your friends and love ones that have come to be your pack. The descriptions of Blu and Jax’s wolves really brought the story to life.
The book was ok, just seem a little rushed. A few grammar errors and run on sentences, but it didn’t lose me in the story, just thought she could have added more to her characters. I’m ok with reading another book by this author.
I really didn't think I was going to like books about shape-shifting but I actually liked this one. This is my second book about shape-shifting but it won't be my last. I'm onto book 2 of this series.
This book was recommended by UniqueWords,LLC. This is my first time reading a book like this. I hope that Blu and Jax have a baby. Hopefully the Prince’s family doesn’t send anymore people to kill Blu
Could have been really good but the grammatical errors were tough yo get past. There were a lot. It also seemed like some editing changes got marked but not removed. Errors broke the flow.
This is my first time reading your work Sonja B. And I must say I enjoyed reading this first book to the series.i am now on book 3. Your stories are short and sweet and to the point. Thanks for an enjoyable book series.
Nice story line. Straight to the point. It kept me entertained. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of editing. This is my first time reading this authors work and I like it. I will definitely continue reading from her.
I love the spicy romance between Blu and Jax but I wish to see more development with their relationship. The writing style I wasn’t what I was used to but I go into it when I got used to it. I can’t wait to read more.
I definitely recommend this read. I enjoyed it and read it in one sitting. The right start, right amount of drama, and some erotic mating... You have gained a reader.
The writing is....different. The storyline is fast paced and short. I don't care for the dialogue, but honestly, it made me laugh. Wacky, corny, but I guess cute too, lol.
