For Berliners the stories are most probably going to seem familiar- perhaps too familiar.
Seven Nights in Berlin follows seven strangers living in Berlin today. On their search for understanding, love, or an escape, they scrape at what is legally and socially acceptable, risking to lose their mind for a moment of pure joy. A generation that has it all struggles to find itself. Meanwhile, we are left to wonder whether these are strangers at all, either to us or to themselves.
I read through this book, or better said, I live it through. The writing is in fact so clear and fluent, I read it at once and felt I was there living Berlin through the eyes of these seven strangers.
You'll be surprised by how easy will be to relate to each character. But aren't we all strangers living in a reality that often feels unfamiliar, looking for a further meaning, hoping for more, while swimming in the ocean of experiences, changes, emotions, life?
