Monsters and Gargoyles #4

Cerberus Unleashed

Rate this book
Hellhounds have feelings too…If Hades thinks he’s going to drag me back to the Underworld, he might just learn that this fiery hound is more than just his daughter. Or his pet. Without my leash, this bi*** has a bite that’ll make him piss his godly pants. And maybe just maybe make him rethink that whole chaining me to the Underworld for eternity, decision. I can hope, right? The thing is, I know I’ll never actually be free of Hades. No matter how much I try to blend into the human world, a creature as wild and dangerous as me just can’t. That means my goal will always be just to stay one step ahead of him. To never get distracted. And never get attached. If I do those things, I might get to remain free.So then I must be a complete moron, because the second the three men move into the crappy apartment across from mine, I can’t seem to stay away from them. It isn’t love. Not even like. It’s more that they seem wild, untamed, and innocent in an unexpected way—just like me.I’ve been called every name under the sun, but the one that rings the truest is monster. I am a monster. Dangerous to everyone around me. So even though I can’t seem to fight my attraction to three strange men, I will. Because no matter what people call me, I won’t drag mortals into a fight among gods and monsters.Only, what if the three men are more than what they seem? And what if Hades isn’t the only one hunting me?CERBERUS UNCHAINED is a steamy reverse harem romance. It involves one lucky woman and three sexy gargoyles. It’s also a #whychoose romance, meaning the heroine doesn’t have to choose between her love interests.

My favourite of the series so far!

This is honestly my favourite of the Monsters and Gargoyles series so far, and I think, my favourite of Lacey Carter Anderson's books altogether!

This one shook up the pacing of the series by having the gargoyles get to know Cerberus as a person before knowing what she is, and by that point it didn't matter. I'll admit the final showdown with Hades was predictable, I called it from early on in the book, but it was still a really satisfying conclusion. Cerberus had great chemistry with each of the guys and I'm excited by how much the series is improving each book.

Another hit in this series! I absolutely love reading about these mythological creatures, and Cerberus is a fav. I loved her struggle and her need to protect the innocent and mete out justice of those who wrong others. It was different reading about the gargoyles who just been unstoned because of how unfamiliar with the human world they were, but it didn't take away from the story!

This is part 4 (other parts already read). It was fun because the Monsters and Gargoyles now got to know the main character. However, I found the hades piece a bit predictable

I will try my absolute best to keep spoilers to a minimum or completely out of my review. Sometimes it can be hard to do so.

Another fantastic book in this series. I love Greek Mythology and Lacey has a way of writing these stories that just makes them incredible. Cerberus is a strong, fierce woman. The things she has had to endure from her father, Hades, is unbelievable. Cerberus escapes from Hades and the underworld with help from Keto. Hades makes a deal with 3 gargoyles (Kage, Draven, and Soren). If the return his hellhound, Hades will give them any mate they want. While they are hunting the hellhound, they meet Cerce (Cerberus). Can they give Cerberus back to Hades once the truth is revealed?

I read this as part of the Monsters and Gargoyles: (Books 4-6) bundle. I'll review it after I finish, but I just can't help enthusing about this story.
Cerberus in this story is Hades' daughter, not a 3-headed dog monster, though is capable of shifting into a large hellhound. We were introduced to her in Keto's Tale (another great story). She's been magically chained in the Underworld for eons, but is finally free of the torture for the first time in her immortal life since she was chained at age six. Hades enlists Kage, a gargoyle, to hunt for Cerberus. Soren and Draven complete the Brotherhood. Soren meets Cerberus, now Cerce in human form, but doesn't know it, and sparks fly. Then Draven meets her, and again sparks fly. Kage is attacked by Hades' Rotters and saved from certain death by Cerberus. Unfortunately, the gargoyles don't realize Cerce is Cerberus. That misunderstanding causes intense pain and suffering until it is resolved. This was a very intense story, the passion, sex, violence, suffering, and pain were overwhelming.

All this story seemed so hopeless. All of characters, which was very well-defined, so broken buy still so compassionate, specially Cerce. She is supposed to be a monster, she is everything but that, trying to fit into human world. Soren, Kage and Draven are also new to this world, freshly awaken from theirs stone sleep. They learn quick, but not quick enough to not to make a deal with a God, a God not to mess with. They make mistakes, some heavier than others. Situation go from complicated to dangerous and even more than that. This book is wonderful and beyond, with plot which keeps you on edge of your seat. This book is memorable and beautiful. It’s different from others in this series, but I think I love it even more because of that.

Simply the Best...

This book was one of the most beautiful written books that I have had the pleasure to read. It was soul shattering, having you feel her emotions, all the pain and heartache that she went through growing up as Hades daughter, fear and anger and so many tears that she cried, makes you want to get out the can of whoop as@. It was such an extraordinary book will have you laughing and cheering and fanning yourself with the hotness, Oh and the gargoyles... They are super hot.. love Greek mythology and how she combines her books with mythology, so much fun and adventures, never disappointing, cannot wait to see what happens with the next one... Keep up the great work, we love your books !! This book was reviewed by a Book Loving Vixen..

This book is different from the first three books . I was really scared in the two books when Cerberus take a place in the lines because it meant Hades was the evil one and I already loved him from another book so this was kinda hard to read and just like I expected, I truly hated him and wished him death. This was a really wonderful book, we get to know each characters well and know about their past and whenever Cerberus talked about how Hades treated her bad it made me really emotional cuz I never thought a God could be so cruel to his own child. I know it's a book but it so touching, I cried when the heroes knew the truth and how Hades deceived them and the ending was more than perfect. This is my favorite from this series. I can't wait to read the next one.

True monsters are sometimes hidden within

Kage makes a deal with Hades to retrieve his hellhound Cerberus in exchange for a perfect mate for his brotherhood. Soren and Draven are the other two gargoyle brothers.
Cerce is trying to live in the human world after escaping her father and the Underworld. She has finally found a place she feels at home. Here she protects women from evil mem that hide behind great looks, jobs, etc. She encounters three gorgeous men who she believes are human. She also stumbles upon minions of her father's. She struggles with feelings she has never felt before as well as her decision on whether to move on or not.
The men also debate with themselves about their feelings toward the "human" woman and the perfect mate they were promised.

Love this series!

I absolutely adore this series. Each book is a stand alone that focuses on one female monster from ancient mythology who finds love while teaching the gargoyles that not all monsters are truly evil.

Cerce is an amazingly strong character with good morals and intentions which I love. Even though this book is a little on the shorter side, I’m still able to finish this book feeling like I know all the characters fairly well. Each of the gargoyles have their personality quirks that help me easily differentiate between them all.

This is a rather short read but things never felt rushed or dull in detail. I highly recommend this series for those who want short and steamy standalones.

Amazing! I love these monsters and I’m so glad Cerberus finally gets her story told. She finally escapes from Hades. But he won’t give up getting her back. So when three gargoyles are sent to find and capture her things get very exciting. I love the character of Cerci. She is so loving and protective. She has such a wonderful heart even if her whole life she has been tortured by Hades. And the three gargoyles seem to be just as lost as her in this modern world. Plenty of adventure and definitely some very hot times. Can’t wait to see what monster is in the next book.

This one had more emotion than the others in the Monster abd Gargoyle series. I feel for Cerce, I really do. She's lived a life of nightmares with her Father. Then she comes to know true happiness but it's ripped away with a deal with the Devil.
This book is full of misunderstandings between the characters. But there's forgiveness and finding that you can trust others to do what's right.
This one had a lot of heartache but with Lacey she always gives us our HEA.

Love this series- and this was a fantastic addition. The story sucks you in from the very beginning and holds your attention to the very end. This twist on Greek mythology has action, adventure and serious steam. Even read one of the smoking hot scenes to my husband for a “guys opinion”. I dare say Lacey just gained another fan. Looks like we’ll both be impatiently waiting for the next installment 😜

I really enjoyed Cerberus's story, she was so tough, a fighter and defender of innocents, and had such a soft heart, my heart was aching for her as she was revealed, and still willing to defend to the end! The gargoyles were arrogant but a good match for her. The narration was good, expressive, I can't wait to see which monster finds love next. I received this book in exchange for my unbiwased review.

I loved that Cerberus finally got her own book. Cerberus is one of my favorite monsters. I wanted to love this book but found myself a little disappointed by it. The connection between Cerberus and the guys just wasn’t there for me. I loved the grand gesture towards the end but this book just kind of fell short for me. There were also a lot of editing errors and places where the wrong man was referred to. It really pulled me from the story.

I love when I monster gets there story told

Good quick fun read. Not as much world building and character development as the previous books but that was not necessary if you read them already. This is a long series with overlapping characters. I really liked how Sara but was finding her way in the real world by working at a shelter helping animals. This book went more into the personal relationships of the characters but it's still had enough steam to keep you interested.

Brilliant read.
Cerberus has finally gotten free from her father, she is now free to live her life how she wants but consistently looking over her shoulder gets old she could never expect to suspect the men next door.
Kage, Draven and Soren have recently woken and are new to this world and they are getting used to everything but their neighbour makes everything a little better.
Brilliant read.

This book is a bit different to the other gargoyles and monsters books, it had more of a horror feel and I loved it! Hades, the underworld, new monsters, new characters and a cast of 4 main characters who are all broken and vulnerable in their own way. Great story and building tension. If you haven't discovered this series yet, get onto it!

I loved this addition to the series! It gave a fresh perspective on the Cerberus myth. I loved Cerce as a main character. She was tough, strong, and didn’t need anyone to take care of her. I liked that some of the characters didn’t have the mystery discovered until near the end of the book. I think it really added to the overall suspense. Overall a great read with steam and a HEA!

love this series

Cerberus’s story was sad. She’s had a horrible childhood but she grows up to be a fierce women who is mature and a good person. Considering who her dad is and what he did to her that was not the outcome I expected. Her and her men were amazing to read. I love this series!

Another amazing story

Gargoyles and Cerberus - a match made in hell... or heaven. Cerberus is a strong woman with a soft and fragile heart. The gargoyles are a bit chauvinistic but they bend and fall in love with Cerce without realising the truth. A brilliant monster story.

Cerberus is Great!

Cerberus is another great addition to the Monsters and Gargoyles collection. Like previous monsters, Cerberus is hunted by the gargoyles and unwittingly gets involved with them. Hiding from Hades while on the run is lonely.

Cerberus is finally free from Hades' grip. Now she has to try and blend in with humans. Then handsome men move in next door and she is drawn to them. All of the parties have their secrets. Secrets that could get someone hurt or killed or loved. But which one?

Absolutely heart wrenching but filled with caring

I like how she found great supportive female friends. Her intro to the human world was funny and all the things she found weird and strange. The battle scene had me in tears it’s just such a great story
