Gamer. Lover of comic books. Nerd-jock who will do anything to score. That about sums up Jameson O’Connor.

He’s also my friend. One of the few people on campus who knows my secret. I don’t know what I was thinking when I kissed him. I must have lost my mind when I asked him on a date… or agreed to cook for his teammates.

I never expected to fall for him. But Jamie knew every button to press. Every level to hit. And he scored every time… until a threat from his past changed everything.

This is a bit of a continuation of The Face Off Series. In this series - Face Off Legacy Series, we have the children who are in college now, just about all are living together and going to the same college.

In this book we have Jameson (Jamie) who is a gamer. He loves coding and computers. He is having a hard time deciding what to do after graduation, if he should try to go pro in the NHL or join his father's computer gaming business.

Shannon is in a sorority, going to college, and working part time. She works at a local bakery, and wants to own her own bakery one day. Shannon has liked Jamie for the last few years, however, she isn't one to rock the boat and do anything to jeopardize that friendship.

Jamie and Shannon, have known each other a few years now. However, they have always just been friends. One night they have a little bit of a make-out session, and things turn in their relationship.

Jamie isn't sure if he should go for things with Shannon, or if he shouldn't and just be friends. He discovers that he loves Shannon and wants to be with her. However, will Shannon take Jamie back?

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest review.

This review was originally posted on my review blog Deanna Reads Books
This is my first time reading a book by Jillian Quinn, but her hockey books are set in Philly and she's a hometown girl so I definitely want to read more of her books! I was intrigued by Jocking Jameson because it has two of my loves - hockey and video games!

This one kind of reminded me a little bit of Elle Kennedy's The Chase, but mostly because of the hockey + video games thing. I loved hearing about Jameson's video game company, but I HATED the plot with the crazy ex. That girl was just too much. I think we are supposed to hate it, but it did feel a little too over the top.

I really liked Shannon and Jamie together. I also liked how independent Shannon was and her drive to start her own business. I liked that they started out as casual friends who crossed the line one night and then slowly turned into something more. I really liked that Jameson realized that Cece wasn't actually a good person. Or "the one for him." She was manipulative and cruel, and Shannon was none of that. It was good to see him understand what a healthy relationship was like.

I loved that these books were set in Philly, because yay that's my city! So I definitely want to continue reading the other books. This one is part of a series, but it can standalone, so I don't think I missed anything not having read the other ones.

Jameson had his heart broken by his first love, a she devil named CeCe, so he's been gun shy when it comes to women since, but somehow, he and Shannon became friends. It didn't take long for that friendship to turn into more, as Shannon was ten times the woman that his ex was, but unfortunately, his ex wasn't done messing with his life, and Shannon was caught in the crossfire. Man, I loved Jamie, as he wasn't like the other hockey players, or should I say man whores, as he truly was very sensitive. He loved playing hockey, but he was also a nerd as well, which Shannon could appreciate, since she played games with her little brother when she went home to visit. They also had some serious chemistry that lit the sheets on fire during super sexy times. And I really loved getting to know Shannon, as she always seemed so different as a secondary in previous books, because in this one, she had more depth to me. Plus, the twists of getting rid of The Queen had my colorful metaphor yelling game strong. So another hit by the uber talented Jillian Quinn, and I can't wait for the next book in this awesome series! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wow, another amazing book by Jillian. This one was really good and I was really happy with it. I loved Jameson and Shannon. They were perfect for each other. He was such a good guy, not a jerk, or a player. And I didn’t see him as a nerdy type really. I thought he was a smart guy who took things seriously, like his hockey, studies, his gaming and his relationship with Shannon. Shannon was good for him. She wasn’t a bitch or some silly ass girl. I liked her. Now Cece that’s another story. I had my thoughts about her anyway. And she should have been ratted out to everyone for her actions. That was a shitty thing she was doing. Anyway I loved the book. It was 🔥🔥, loved the storyline, characters, the cover was awesome, and the way the book ended.

I am new to this series, even legacy series, but the author did a great job in explaining things so that I knew what was going on and was not confused, which was super great!

This was an interesting read. I felt as if there was a lot going on in which the main characters were not only in college, but had multiple hobbies that they were doing as well. Jamie was not only a hockey player, but he was a brilliant coder and was being pushed and pulled in two different directions and Shannon was a little more of the norm in which she was working as well as spending a lot of time with her family.

It felt a little busy, but other than that, I loved the story line. Give me a hot jock any day!! I love that and a coder no less, yes please!

Jamie is a wonderful guy, like I mentioned before, he is a hockey player and his family creates some of the most popular video games and he is a bit of a geek himself. He is struggling at the beginning of this story because he fell for his long time friend a while back and she completely stabbed him in the back, like AWFULLY stabbed him in the back. This has definitely hindered his decision making skills for the female variety.

I adored Shannon! She has a work ethic like none other and even though she is shy, she is able to put herself out there with Jamie and not be walked over either-- you go girl!

This was an entertaining read and while there was a lot going on, I enjoyed reading it and will definitely check out more from the author!

4 outta 5 from me!

PS: I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest feedback!

Okay read. Kind of boring. Skimmed a lot.

2.5
Jaime is another member of the hockey team and roommate who falls for Shannon. She’s in a sorority but she doesn’t come from money and has to commute to school. She works at a bakery and wants to open one in the future. Jaime is really smart and really good at hockey too. He’s struggling to decide what to do in the future. Follow his grandpa, a famous hockey player, or his dad who is a famous game developer.

I was a little irritated with all the repeats in this book from previous books. I understand they are all supposed to be the same timeline but couldn’t the author think of anything new? I was skimming. I almost felt like Jamie didn’t need a book because of all the stuff about him in previous books. We already found out who The Queen was, that Jamie started dating Shannon and broke up over something and that Jaime will get back with her all from the other books.

Also why all of a sudden in the third book is Killian Kade now mentioned as a roommate? It’s strange how the others are close like brothers and then there’s Killian. He was never mentioned in previous books.

I like Shannon and Jaime but the chemistry between them fell flat because it was overshadowed h The Queen stuff. I wish there would have been more focus on the two of them.

For me the book was just okay. It could have been great if there was new scenes in the book and not so many previous word for word scenes. I’ll still read the next three books, but I’ll also know what to expect. More of the same story line.

I honestly don't understand how Jamie didn't know Cece was The Queen.

Other than that glaring problem, I thought it was cute. It seemed the drama was a little forced and I don't think either Jamie or Shannon are innocent in this. He lied about what his relationship with Cece really was and seemed to just shrug it off as unimportant when she sees pictures of him kissing Cece, but Shannon appeared to forgive him, sleep with him and then proceeded to go through his stuff and get pissed off at his pictures. She also jumped to the conclusion that Cece was his girlfriend based on the pictures. Once she realizes that Cece was not actually his girlfriend anymore, she does nothing to get back in touch with, talk to or apologize to Jamie for going through his stuff and jumping to conclusions, making Jamie do some grand gesture to get her back. Why? They both screwed up.

But seriously, how would someone who appears to be quite intelligent not get that the girl who he knows messes with him on a regular basis, who is good at coding and gaming, the girl he screwed over in a publicly embarrassing way, was The Queen?

3.5/5 Stars.

Jocking Jameson was an intriguing read about Jamie, a hockey playing college nerd and his love interest Shannon. But when his past comes in between him and Shannon, he's forced to find a way to make it right and win back the love of his life.

What I liked about this book was the characteristics of Jamie and his down to earth nature. He was friendly and compassionate and didn't flaunt his wealth or success. He cared about Shannon and her very different lifestyle from his. He was the brains of the group he surrounded himself with and took his future seriously.

Shannon was a sweet and truly charismatic heroine. She was focused and worked hard for what she had and tried her hardest to hide her difficult financial situation from the wealthy peers she hung around.

This is the 4th book in the Face-Off Legacy series and I will say that unfortunately it mirrors a LOT of the same content as the previous 3 books. Because the story line runs concurrent with the other books, many of the conversations and scenarios are repetitive, just from another character's viewpoint. A lot of the book feels like you've read it before... because if you've read any of the previous books in the series, you have. I would have liked to see more unique content or a different timeline for the story.

Jameson O’Conner is a hockey player through and through, but he also has a nerdy side and he loves technology as much as he loves being on the ice. Which is something that he comes by naturally, as his father has made a name for himself in the gaming world, developing some it's highest grossing games.

His interest in technology has brought him many rewarding moments, one being a friendship with his fellow classmate Shannon. From the moment they met they hit it off, on an intellectual level of course, not romantically. But somewhere along the way things started to be a little less about computers and a little more about the sparks bouncing around between them. But before they have a chance to embrace them, a former flame of Jameson's comes back into his life, and shakes things up... and leaves him trying to decide which one deserves his heart!

The Dating Game is a dramatic little page-turner that brings smiles, swoons, and gives the heart a good squeeze. I loved meeting Jameson and the ladies who compete for his time and attention, their exciting little adventure kept me enthralled from start to finish. I highly recommend you get your hands on this series, each book comes brimming with heartfelt emotion, and characters that will leave permanent indent on your heart!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

Book four in the Face-Off Legacy series is another wonderful read. Jameson and Shannon's story had me on tenterhooks. At the beginning I was hoping the heroine that would win Jameson's heart was Shannon, as I really didn't want ti to be Cece.
I liked how Jameson acknowledged Cece as his first love, and that a part of him would always love her. But I think what he found with Shannon made anything he had with Cece pale in comparison. It just took him a while to work that out for himself.
I also thought Jillian has done a wonderful job in that all the books run somewhat parallel to each other, and when certain things happen, it is like a light bulb moment and it makes even more sense!!!
Donovan's book is next and I just can't wait for his story.

What a fantastic story from Jillian and you can't help but fall in love with this nerd boy and his girl Shannon.
I absolutely didn't want to stop reading this book once I started reading it I was afraid I would miss something and believe me there was always something going on.
Jamie is trying to get over what he thought was the love of his life only to have it end in him being stabbed in the back he's at a party when Shannon who has been there all this time he just never paid attention until now comes up to him and there's something about her that catches his eye.

This is definitely a must read and you don't even have to be a fan of hockey to enjoy this book or the whole series. Just be warned when you find yourself falling for these hockey player's and their escapades and the ladies who find them irresistible.

This is just my opinion and my review

I loved it

Hot hockey lovin', enough to melt the kindle screen! Jamie is a member is the S. University hockey team. He's torn, does he pursue a career in the NHL and make his grandfather proud or does he use his gamer and coding smarts and join his father's firm after graduation? Either way someone will be disappointed. Jamie is still searching out the identity of the queen who is causing trouble for the who hockey team but most recently, she is trying to come between Jamie and his girlfriend Shannon. And the queen will do anything to split them up, including hiring photographers to take pictures of Cece and Jamie at a convention to make it look like Jamie is cheating on her. With all that is going on it's hard to follow at times but you know there has to be a Happily Ever After
I can't wait to read Drake's story next

By far my favourite of the legacy series..
I really fell in Love with Jamie’s character, he is unassuming and an all round great guy.
His love life is in a right pickle.... will he give in and return to CeCe his controlling, nasty high school love or will he start afresh with the sweetheart that is Shannon... a hard working, lovely character with drive and enthusiasm to learn?
Not only has he got this love drama he is also hell bent on luring out the Queen and also finding out what is going on with his dad’s company....
A great story with Jillian back on her best form...
Drake next.... for how long can Taylor fend him off😉
I received an arc from the author and am choosing to leave a review

I loved Jamie and Shannon. These opposites were so perfect for each other. They simply made my heart melt. Jamie was totally swoon worthy. I mean come on, hunky hockey player and cute nerd all rolled into one delicious package?! Sign me up! Shannon was sweet, proud, determined, shy and a true nerd girl. I was rooting for this couple right from chapter one. There is lots of drama, emotional turmoil and heat as the story unfolds. I though that Jamie's ex CeCe was a complete witch. If anyone deserved getting a house dropped on them it was her. In my opinion she was vile and in case I have not made myself clear, I hated her. This was a terrific book in an awesome series and I am already eager for book five. This is my freely posted, frank review.

I really enjoy how intertwined each book in this series is. Each one takes place basically during the same time frame but you get to see the events through each different couples eyes.

Jamie & Shannon have been friends for a few years. One night at a frat party, they both realize they want more from each other and their relationship finally heats up. But The Queen is causing havoc in everyone's lives, mostly Jamie and all his friends. He's determined to find her and stop her for good.

The past comes back to bite Jamie and causes some problems between he and Shannon. They will have to work through things and really learn to trust each other again in order to get what they want.

Another great story.

OMG! This book was so darn addicting. WOW! I love you, Jamie. The sweet loving, nerdy, jock is just everything that you would want from a book boyfriend but so much more.

You have poor Jamie, who gave his heart to the devil and she took advantage of it and struck him where it would hurt the most. Jamie, then thinks there is no way for him to ever love or trust again. That is until his friend, Shannon and him end up kissing and taking their friendship to the next level. The question is, will Jamie be able to resist the devil's temptations...?

This book had me addicted and on pins and needles wanting to know more. I definitely have to go back and read the other books in the series after I have read this one.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I am loving these books. They are all sons from the Face Off Series and they are just as crazy as their fathers. James and Shannon have been friends for a while and they are both now exploring their feelings for each other, but when something happens it tests their relationship. Jamie’s ex decides to stir things up a bit and make him question what her truly wants. Will Jamie make the obvious choice and pick Shannon or will Cece succeed in destroying any happiness he could have with Shannon? I guess you will need to read to find out how this all ends for Jamie. Loved it, highly recommend it.

I loved Jamie and Shannon but I think because we already knew a lot about them their relationship got on board super fast in this book. If I had been reading as standalone then I would say it seemed like there was hardly any chemistry or insta.
Good thing I've read the other books because all the housemate's troubles are once again thrown out there but this book HEA, except Drake's character.(hmmm)

So I took one star because I would of liked more together time with Shannon and Jamie (not sex but spend time with). These series have so many characters spinning around. What did happen to Cece?

Always a pleasure to read!!!

His Queen

Holy smokes another mind blowing addition to the legacy series.

Jameson and Shannon have been friends their freshman year of zippered. Along the way things flipped from friends to more. And “The Queen” post a blog about him, and ruins things before their relationship really gets going.

Can Jameson fix things before it’s too late?

Jocking Jameson is definitely a score for the legacy series. You’ll fall in love more with these characters as the book goes along. I can’t wait for the next book in
The series. You will absolutely want to one click this book now.

Jocking Jameson is book 4 and is a great addition to the Face-Off Legacy series written by the talented Jillian Quinn. This installment is about James and Shannon story. The hockey team is being attacked by a blogger named “The Queen”. Everyone wants to know who is the Queen, and how she knows so much about the players and their girlfriends. The plot is full of great characters, drama, outstanding friendships, lots of parties, lots of cooking and pastries, video gaming, humor, a very malicious ex-girlfriend, mystery and a very charming romance. I absolutely love this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Can't wait for next book, Drakes Donovan and Taylor!!

My favorite story of the series

Jamie is the nerd hockey player. His Dad has developed some of the biggest video games and has alot of money but Jamie never acts like the spoiled rich kid.. He and Shannon have been friends for a few years but Shannon really likes him.. Jamie and Cece have had an on and off relationship for years but when he starts to see how toxic she is and how much he cares for Shannon will he cut her loose and try with Shannon?

The Queen storyline from the other books is discussed more and we see a bit more of Drake and Taylor.. Can't wait for Drakes book

OMG Jameson and Shannon story was off the hook, They have been friends since their freshman year, They both realise that they both like each other dont want to act on it right away because of their friendship. Just when they start their relationship the Queen throws a spanner in the works and Jamie EX Cece pops back up. Want to no more you just have read it find out how their story plays out plus if Jamie finds out who the Queen is. I definitely recommend, I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy. Great addition to Face-Off Legacy Jillian. Drake your up 🥅🏒

Jacking Jameson

The book was a page turner and a great addition to the series. There is a mystery to solve, two complete opposite girls involved, some decisions to make and all the characters in the series are involved. There is more about the tech side of the family than the hockey and we get more information on Jamie’s immediate family. I don’t know if I agree with one of the decisions made. I was kind of hoping he would compromise with both, but I don’t want to give the decision away. Enjoyed the story and can’t wait for Donovan.

Geek jock for the gAme

Ok,so I have to start off this review by saying the first time I read this book I really did not care for this couple. They were dull and predictable nothing like Parker and Bex. But I looked at in a different light, just as a college romance not a sports romance and I found myself really enjoying this book.
The couples chemistry was hot the story was very sweet and detailed and you can see why Jamie fell for his girl.
Can not wait for Donovan's book especially after the epic epilogue in this story.

Love this group of kids

The team is being attacked by a blogger named Dethroned. Jameson is the computer whiz but can't seemed to find who it is. He is also on the hockey team. He has been friends with Shannon through school. They are so good together once they go further than just friends. The Queen from Dethroned strikes against them. Love the ups and downs with this book and trying to figure out who the Queen is. Another exciting, adventure of this series of the kids of the original group.

Cupcakes and games

Who doesnt love a hot nerdy jock? And cupcakes are everyone's sinful secret but mix them together and you get an explosive story written by Jillian that melts your heart. Jamie sees Shannon as a friend but that changes one night during a party. Throw in some cooking (of both food and sex) a nemesis who hides their identity and agenda and this face off legacy book keeps you guessing who Jamie's HEA will be. I love the FO series and can't wait for the next book!
