I can’t remember what I’ve supposedly done, or who’s trying to kill us. All I know is that I have to find Charlotte and get us both out of this mess alive.

Only I hadn’t counted on Charlotte having her own agenda...

Three books featuring three deliciously dirty SEAL’s and three ladies who discover a fondness for the less-vanilla end of the bedroom antics scale make up this series, and taking us to destinations full of heat in more ways than one, there’s no scrimping on said antics.

description Kink starts here.”

Whilst each romance is a stand-alone, an ongoing suspense storyline spans the three books so I definitely recommend reading in order. And with falling for your mark, friends-to-lovers and best-friends older brother all featuring, there’s three reasons right there why this series worked for me.

*I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Let me first start by mentioning that I didn't know this was part of a series. When I originally read the blurb, it seemed as though this was going to be a standalone (which totally still reads as one), but it turns out that this is most likely the final installment in the trilogy.

Charlotte is a control freak. No, seriously...she has to be in control of just about everything. Which is why she's always the go-to person when things need to actually get done. She makes lists and can pretty much think of plan for any situation. That's a good quality to have considering she's been kidnapped by a drug cartel, mistaking her for her roommate, who's brother stole guns (that was a mouth full). Oh...did I mention that there was a one night stand fling that took place with said brother, right before he died? Or did he......?

Liam is the brother. He just woke up from a coma in a foreign country with amnesia, finding out that he's considered dead and has smuggled guns illegally to a drug cartel, pocketing millions of dollars. He's also having vivid dreams of his sister's best friend. While he's trying to process as much as possible, he hears that Charlotte's been kidnapped, because of him. Time to bring on the Navy SEAL, rescue the girl and figure out what the heck is going on.

This book starts off with a memory (a damn good one, if you ask me), which leads us to the present situation. Although Liam doesn't recall the fling they had, the chemistry between these two is undeniable. But I have to admit that the story is what pulled me in even more than the actual romance. I absolutely loved that there was a "bucket list" that was used as a map to find the missing pieces. But OMG!!!! How it was all tied together in the end was perfect!!!!

I just wish I had read the other books before this one. Because I KNOW I would have loved those too!!!

A danger and heat-filled adventure…

I have loved every book I have read by this author and these stand-alone reads (yet connected) were just what I hoped for!

Liam was cocky with a great sense of humour which balanced his SEAL persona perfectly. Considering the trouble he and Charlotte found themselves in, he was James Bond-like in his confidence and certainty that it would all work out. Is that attractive? Oh my stars, YES!

Charlotte was a wonderful counter-balance to Liam’s off the cuff approach to the danger they found themselves in. She was all about responsibility yet he was able to coax her to throw caution (and her lists) to the wind…

Together, they had heat, humour and a lot of heart as they worked their way through one dangerous situation after another. I might have been screaming for the hills but these two never lost their cool. Even as things between them - and their enemies - heated up! A few unexpected twisty turns meant a completely satisfying read!

This can be read as a stand-alone but you really want to read Rogue and Renegade so you can savour this ending just I like did…. ~Diane, 4 stars

Liam may come off as if he doesn't care, and it could be true, or maybe it's just a facade to protect himself. Who knows? Maybe we never will. But the one thing we do is that he will do anything to protect those he cares about, including his little sister's best friend, Charlotte.

Yes, he's wanted her for a while, and they did act on it once, but he knows he should stay away. However, when she's kidnapped, mistaken for his sister, McKenzie, he will stop at nothing to rescue her. That's after he awakens from a coma and remembers what's going on. He may not recall what happened between them, though he's having some very vivid dreams regarding her, but he refuses to let her be in danger.

Charlotte will forever cherish the memory of her time with Liam, and though she'll always wish it could've been more, she'd give anything if he was still alive. But, maybe the reports of his death aren't true after all. Maybe they could have another chance. That is if she survives being kidnapped by the bad guys believing she's McKenzie.

Can Liam and Charlotte work through everything to find themselves again? Will either of them heal from what happened? How will McKenzie react when she finds out about them? Is a HEA possible?

One-click now and follow along as two people are finally able to explore what's been between them.

Incredible ending to this fantastic series! I have been waiting for Liam's story and I loved it! With Charlotte the responsible list maker, let's get it done girl home running the business while her two besties are off with their men; Charlotte is kidnapped, a case of mistaken identity. She wakes up in Mexico. Liam is presumed dead and has been living in India with the Dr who as been helping him recover and regain some of his lost memory. He still has a span of months prior to the explosion that are a blank. Those months include a steamy night with Charlotte while the group was on vacation in Mexico. Liam now knows he's a wanted man, accused of dealing in arms with a Mexican drug lord, not delivering and now dead and where's the money for that shipment? Liam is a man of honor, a Navy SEAL despite his "f**k it" motto, things are serious here. He leaves India when he hears of Charlottes kidnapping and rescues her. Holy hot hell those two together. Liam and that flirty, dirty mouth and Charlotte gives as good as she gets. List maker or not. This story is a wild ride as they set about finding the truth, the twists and turns were killer and Brynley holds you captive until you get to the very last page. And then there's Liam!
Wow, what a wild ride and Wow what a great series! All absolutely must reads!

So we finally got Liam's story and we have been waiting a while. I implore you to start from the beginning with Mckenzie's book to get the whole story and to know who is who. Liam has been thought of as dead and he left behind a necklace and a bucket list, and so McKenzie (his sister) has been living thru him so she can feel closer and ends up finding danger. Then we have in the second book his best friend Walker and Gemma looking for clues trying to clear his name because all sort of info came out on Liam that were not very good, and Walker can't believe it and so he and Gemma begin there journey, but now we get to Liam and Charlotte. Charlotte is McKenzie and Gemma's business partner as well as best friend and she had a crush on Liam and they had an explosive night but then he disappear's and then is thought of as dead, but now she is kidnapped and it is Liam who saves her and explains what happened to him and that he is not who they are thinking that he is (a traitor) and while they are together they rekindle their romance and try to stay ahead of the danger surrounding them...Grab a copy!

Liam woke from a coma in India. He barely remembers who he is, never mind what he may or may not have done.

But when a news article kickstarts his faulty memory, he begins an adventure he's not sure he can finish. His motto may be "Do not underestimate the power of "fuck It" but somethings need more consideration - like the damage a certain female could do to his heart!

Charlotte thought losing Liam after their one night stand was bad enough but now she is the subject of misidentification and she has been kidnapped in the stead of her best friend, Liam's sister. When a figure enters the room she is being kept she almost dies of fright - it seems Liam may not be as dead as they thought!

Charlotte and Liam are a great pairing. Charlotte with her lists of lists and Liam's gung ho approach to life are just fireworks in the making. I loved the premise and the characters are strong and have plenty to say! First book i've read by this author and won't be the last!

When Liam awakens from his coma all he knows is that not only did everyone think he was a traitor, but they thought he was dead as well. When he realizes that Charlotte, his sister’s best friend and his one night stand, has been kidnapped his next mission is to rescue Charlotte and regain his memory.

Charlotte has always been attracted to Liam but when he avoided her after their night together she believed that was all they would ever have as she believes that he has passed away. It will take all her organizational skills and rational thinking to try and get out of this situation with her life.

Once Charlotte got over the shock that Liam was alive and had no memory of his past or them it became a search to find out the truth before the people behind the plot endangered them or their loved one any further. Action, suspense and hot chemistry all lead up to a great ending. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

First, let’s fangirl the fact that our lady Brynley is back at it!!! Now let’s give praise where it is oh so due. Liam is the perfectly flawed man that makes us swoon. He’s lived life by a ethos that as served him well. Even in his current predicament, he will will out as it were. Now if only he could have the foggiest idea what’s going on that would be fantastic. When his kid sister's bestie Charlotte is kidnapped, it seems it’s not only himself he needs to get out of a jam. Charlotte is boisterous, strong minded, and goal oriented. Anyone who messes with her plan, better get out of her way. And when Liam becomes part of the plan, there’s no escaping it.

Wow, I was really sad for this book to be over. I really enjoyed it.

I really liked Liam in this book. He had so many sides to him that I enjoyed. He is a NAVY SEAL who after waking from a coma finds that he needs to clear his name. Problem is, he doesn't remember what happened. This man goes above and beyond to protect everyone that he holds dear. He carries himself as a leader and isn't afraid to take risks.

Charlotte is seen as the responsible one and the list maker. This is a woman after my own heart. There were times in the book that Liam would make some sort of offhanded comment about her need of lists and I wanted to say something to him.

The parts I enjoyed the most was the times when Charlotte could let go. She was able to live in the moment and the only way she was able to do that was because she knew that if she got in trouble, Liam would be there to catch her.

The suspense was amazing. You didn't know how/if he was going to get himself out of this mess.

I would highly recommend this book.

This is my first book by Brynley and I have to admit I really enjoyed it! It took a little getting used to with regards writing style but the characters and storyline were intriguing and grabbed and held my attention. Who doesn’t love a kinky Navy SEAL😍

Liam and Charlotte enjoy a one night tryst in Mexico while on vacation. They see each other a month later and Liam appears detached and not quite as interested in her as he was in Mexico. Thinking the worst, she leaves without spending time with him and her bestie, who also happens to be his sister. Not long after, Liam dies in an explosion and is named as a traitor! Question is, is he or isn’t he? Danger and action around every turn but storyline engaging and the characters had good explosive chemistry❣️.

Thank you to the publisher, Brynley and Netgalley for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review. I’ve purchased the first two books so I can catch up with the other two couples, but from my experience this one I read as a standalone which was perfectly fine.

Action, Suspense, Romance
Resurgent is a steamy, action & adventure, romantic suspense story that got my attention from the page. You have two people who very much like to be in control and do things their way. There is an intense and undeniable chemistry between them. During their time together, Liam shows Charlotte how to let go, live a little, and have fun. Charlotte in return teaches him that he doesn’t have to always do it all alone and to trust the people he loves. Wonderful characters, great banter, and well written. This is part of a series but worked as a standalone. I enjoyed Resurgent so much I picked up book 1 & 2. This is my first book by Brynley Blake and I look forward to reading more of her books.

I loved it! It is such a well-written book and has some amazing characters. Charlotte is a control freak who has a ten years plan. Her life is going exactly the way she wants it to. Unlike her two best friends she isn't willing to take risks or fall in love. Men don't have a place in her perfectly planned out existence at least, not until she is ready. But that doesn't mena that she couldn't have a crush on her friend's brother. Liam is every woman's dream come true. The only problem is that just like her he is also not ready for a relationship. Then she is kidnapped and he is the only one who can save her.
I really enjoyed this adventurous read and I'd recommend it to all my friends who enjoy a good romance novel.

What a great finish!!!!

I've been waiting a long time for this book. RENEGADE and ROGUE were both wonderful 5 star reads. But, the story that ties them together had me hooked. And this book brought the conclusion. It also brought a great new BBF. Liam is wonderful. A sense of humor and maybe the best mantra ever. Charlotte is a terrific partner. A real smartass. A girl who never gives a thought to dumbing herself down. No real angst here either, a pleasant change. HEAs for everyone. This was an all-around delightful read.

Take the time (you won't need much) to read all three of these books. Maybe it will encourage this author not to go away again. I'm so glad she's back.

Charlotte and Liam on paper are total opposites. But like magnet to steel they are seriously attracted to each other. After spending one very hot night together they are separated. Later they are back together as danger lurks around every corner. With the heat still sizzling they have to rely on each other to survive the many perils that surround them. The action in the bedroom is off the charts. They get the danger off their back and are able to begin the real adventure of life together. Excellent fast paced and smoking hot reading.

Wow! I had been waiting for Liam's story after the way Walker's story ended. And this one had everything: love, sexy times, friendship, action, suspense, humor, discovery of one's true desires, and more. The chemistry between Liam and Charlotte was explosive. I loved how they brought out the real person in each other that was the opposite of what they thought they wanted. The ending was worrisome for me, but our guy made it all better in a beautiful way.

Holy hot stuff Batman! This book was delicious! An all alpha Navy SEAL, a kick-ass heroine bent on saving her own life, killer kinky sexy times and a super suspenseful plot!

What does a Navy SEAL do when he wakes up with no memory but a handful of evidence that he's a traitor to his beloved country, then finds out the woman who haunts his dreams has been kidnapped? He goes hunting! Liam's family and his country think he's dead but they also think he's a traitor who sold guns to the most dangerous drug cartel on the planet. Now he has to find a way to save his little sister's best friend, find the missing pieces to his memory and clear his name before the people he loves become collateral damage, or he winds up as dead as the world thinks he is.

This book was fantastic! The hero and heroine had explosive chemistry and excellent banter with intriguing backstories. This amnesiac traipsing across the globe attempting to clear his name was very Jason Bourne-esque, if Jason was also a kinky Navy SEAL! The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat and the sexy times sizzled off the page. This is one thrill ride I was happy to be on!

**I received a copy of Resurgent from Entangled Books and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. The opinions below are mine alone and voluntary.**

Resurgent by Brynley Blake is the third book in her Phoenix Rising series. I've read the first one but skipped Declan and Gemma's story (It's on my TBR though). Resurgent is all about how the bro code of not touching the little sister of your best friend. She is a avid list maker and so organized that she'll have you making a list of things to do. But Resurgent is for Charlotte and Liam, yes, he's alive but has amnesia from his last mission and will provide a wrap up of the series. I highly recommend reading them in order so that you can get the full story in this series.

Charlotte is mistaken for Mackenzie and kidnapped by El Gato who never received the guns that Liam sold to him. But she doesn't know where they are only that both Kenzie and Gemma are researching Liam's bucket list. When Liam shows up to rescue her he doesn't remember their fling or what happened in Pakistan. Can they finish off the list and help him remember before the drug cartel finds them?

Liam wakes up in India with no memory of his final op in Pakistan when he sees that Mackenzie is missing he immediately goes to Mexico to rescue her. When he finds Charlotte he doesn't hesitate to rescue her as well as teach her how to throw her lists away and show her that the life she had was nothing without Liam in it. When a double crossing CIA mole show up Liam begins to put all the missing pieces together and with the help of Walker and Noah take down the mole and drug cartel. But can he convince Charlotte that he's her happy ever after?

This is the third book in the Phoenix rising series.  I haven’t read the other books and I was able to follow the plot easily.  It seems to me that each book in the series is a standalone and can be read without having to read the others.

I love a good contemporary romance with a hot, muscular and smart hero with a pretty, smart , and sassy mouth heroine.  The reader will get all that and more with this book.  I loved that this book was funny, fast paced, and the banter between Liam and Charlotte was off the charts hot.

The reader needs to be warned that there are some elements of BDSM, but nothing hard core.  It’s important to mention this as some readers don’t like any aspect of BDSM and if it wasn’t mentioned in this review, it would be remiss of me.  I loved the BDSM elements as I thought it brought the two characters closer together and made the time they had together in and out of the bedroom more meaningful.

Charlotte made Liam work for her submission, as well as her love, but she wasn’t a bitch about it and it was funny and entertaining to read the interaction between the two of them.  That being said, Liam was no pushover and he made Charlotte work too.  He was an alpha male and put up with no crap, but he was funny, gentle, and sensitive.  How can any woman resist that combination?

Now I want to read the other books in the series to find out what happened before.  The question needs to be asked: will there be another book in this series?  Also, what new books will be written?  This inquiring mind needs to know, you know?

Pick up this book to begin a Brynley Blake binge-a-thon.  It was just so, so good.

A nice wrap up for the series

Book 3 in the Phoenix Rising series, while each book can be read as a standalone, with the mystery underlying the entire series and crossover mentions of events and characters (though with only relatively brief appearances of those characters), for the best experience I’d highly recommend reading the series in order.

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series so I’ve been looking forward to getting the conclusion. I liked both Liam and Charlotte here; I especially liked that they are both intelligent, capable people who prove they work together just as well outside of the bedroom as they do inside as they try to follow the clues of Liam’s bucket list to solve the mystery of the missing guns. And yeah, wow, there was a lot of heat between them in the bedroom!

While I did enjoy this story, it didn’t pull me in as well as the previous books. That could in part be due to it being a second chances / sister’s best friend story, plot lines that just aren’t my favorite. I think I also would have enjoyed this more if I’d done a reread of the previous books first—while I remember the basics and that I really liked them, it’s been a while with a few hundred other stories read in the meantime. Or maybe my expectations were just a little too high coming in, lol.

Plenty of heat and suspense, along with interesting characters and a nice wrap up for the series means 4 stars from me.
