Love all the of wonderful Christmas Anthologies that are coming out! What could be better than nine lords at Christmas? These nine authors each have stories that are wonderful on their own, but together will keep your heart smiling for hours!!
The Duke's Impetuous Darling - Cerise Deland
"Promise me," Alistar insisted as he faced the young woman he had loved since he was twelve. "I must hear you say it." Of course that beginning line pulled me right into the story. Off to war and leaving Bee behind to promise she would be careful, he asked her to wait for him so they could marry when he returned. But when that wonderful day came, he was a changed man in so many ways. Wounded in body and spirit, in his darkest days he had only thought of Bee, even when he knew nothing else. Could Bee love him, wounded as he was? But she was determined to clear her family name and bring honor back that had been lost by her father.
My romantic heart was fully engaged in this story with Cerise Deland's amazing prose and detail combined with her gift of making you feel the character's emotions. A bit of mystery, danger and of course romance, I cannot recommend this story enough that kept me captivated until the end.
The gift of a Christmas Scandal by Arietta Richmond
A story of an arranged marriage and an almost forced betrothal that was entirely unwanted and looking for the choice to chose their own. Alexander, the Duke of Southolton found that his arranged marriage was legally binding, but he was determined to get out of it. Selina, was being pressured by her parents to marry an Earl that she found so boring and could not fathom spending her life with him. Could two such people be meant for each other? Attending a house party held by the Duke of Southoton and his mother, who does she meet but Alexander! This is a story of reaching for the almost impossible and striving to achieve that happy ever after! I truly enjoyed this tale and the rocky road to happiness!

Noelle had been in love but Trevor had abandoned her with more than just herself. But Noelle had brought herself forward to be a respectable member of society who helped young ladies with their education and ease into the social world. It a twist only fate can achieve, she is brought back into his presence when a she is asked to host a gathering at his estate by his nephew. Can the two find the truth about what happened and begin again? A lovely story that warmed my heart as I turned the last page.

I bought the anthology so that I could read this the third of the Christmas Belles trilogy, a lovely story of two childhood friends who grew to love each other & are then torn apart only to be reunited but there are obstacles in their way, inheritances & smugglers all impede their HEA

I quick read that I read in a session, I loved the update now that Jack & Abbie are married, it does follow on closely from A Code of Honour so I would recommend reading it first. Fast paced & steamier than earlier books. I loved it.

A very mixed bag, with most of the novellas trying to cram in too much plot and exposition for the shorter form. Although only 807 pages (Kindle edition), it was tough sledding and would have been a DNF if I weren't such a completist. Best of the lot, imo, were "A Merry Wicked Christmas," "The Gift of a Christmas Scandal," "Yours by Yuletide" and "Doubt Not."

I have now read two of the nine books, and am hooked. I will review those two now and add the rest later. This is one set you will be eager to start!

This book is an amazing testament to our heroes and the families and loved ones they fight for. These are the trials they go through and have gone through for many centuries. In this Christmas story, you will find no shortage of brave men and equally brave woman. This hero was injured more than just physically and I feel the author does and excellent job of portraying the aspects of PTSD that are present here. No matter his injuries though, he comes back to claim his love. Will she be able to love him as he is now? With many surprising twists and turns throughout, you will find a bit of mystery and danger that will keep you wondering what comes next. Although a short story, you will find amazing detail that will captivate any reader. A perfect read for any time, year round!

I found this story to be a beautiful tale of overcoming unforeseen obstacles that life throws our way. In this case a misunderstanding not of their making. Christmas is the perfect time to embrace the new and this story does that perfectly. I love the strength Noelle shows throughout the book. She has had hard times for twenty years and still finds the ability to not only teach her children how to be good people, but other young ladies as well. Doing so in the time period she lives is a massive achievement. When her lost love returns to the area, some secrets are revealed that neither of them could have expected. You will want to read this book to find what they learn and how they react.

“Christmas is coming, my bookshelves getting fat, from regency to sci-fi, what do you think of that?” (Sorry, I just had to)
What is about holidays and regency collections anyway? I think the pageantry is really what draws us in. Each of these nine stories sweeps us up and takes us away from “current events”.
My favorite story was “The Gift Of A Christmas Scandal “ by Arrietta Richmond. Selina is a woman forced into a betrothal that simple bores her to tears. Alexander’s arraigned marriage is the last thing her wants but he can’t break the contract. Then, Alexander meets Selina and.... their attraction adds to the mix!
Enjoy a chance to spend time in another world! Highly Recommended 5/5

Another awesome collection to keep the reader occupied for hours on end. These nine authors have all contributed some wonderful Christmas tales, which make me want to experience a white Christmas (Australia is just so hot). I received an ARC from Arietta Richmond, of her story "Gift of a Christmas Scandal", and just had to have the entire collection. The stories are unique in their own way, and you can’t help loving the characters in all of them. There are a few twists and turns throughout, with some fun experiences and incidents as well as some danger. I just couldn’t put this collection down and look forward to reading more from these fantastic authors.

The stories are entraining, with good plots, turns and different ways to bring joy and happiness...
My favourite story is "The Gift of a Christmas Scandal": shows the importance of not losing hope and fighting for what you want to achieve that happy ever after...

The story I have read in this set is by Gina Danna it was called A Merry Wicked Christmas and is now called To Catch A Lady. The first book in the Lords & Ladies & Love series by a Author I have not read before. Lady Marina Lockhart and Phineas, Marquis of Huntington's story is well written and held my interest until the end. I want to read the other books in this series. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Light, VERY light reading - this group is for reading before bedtime or while waiting in car pickup lines - nothing here to make you want to keep reading in to the early morning hours. These are very simple stories. All of them would have been improved by a bit more character development. All would have been improved with editing.

This collection of stories by nine authors was good. Each story was enjoyable and fast reading. If you like your books clean, this isn't it. It was steamy. Some stories were better than others. I did read every word.
