This book is fun, but it's not one of my very favorites. It's another adventure including the Wakefield twins and their friends. In this book, the Unicorns (a club that Jessica is a part of) have to come up with a good idea for their booth in the school's carnival. After a lot of brainstorming, they decide to go with selling love potions! Of course, that needs the right costumes and a little bit of kitchen work to make the potion, but they manage to pull it off.

But that's not all. Johnny Buck is coming to Sweet Valley and there are only two thousand tickets for his show! The Wakefields are in a mad scramble to get tickets and even bet on it! It's made all the teenagers and tweens in Sweet Valley crazy! Unfortunately, not everyone can get a ticket to the concert...

At the same time as all of that is happening, though, Peter Burns is having a horribly noticeable crush on Mary, a girl in the Unicorn club. The rest of the Unicorns think he's a dweeb and not worth her time. After all, it'd be bad for her image! But Peter is nice and actually cares about her, unlike the basketball jock that asks her out. Will the love potion help Peter win Mary, or is it really just a small bottle of pineapple punch?
