This is the third book in the Hard, Fast & Forever series by Sasha Burke. I was looking forward to this one since the hero in this is a rancher. Because, cowboys!!! And Cade lived up to everything I hoped he would be!
Cade Walker made his billions in the city wearing a suit and working his life away. Until something happened that made him re-evaluate his life and he left it all behind to be a rancher on a horse farm. Cade is a one and done kind of guy. He doesn’t do relationships. But he finds himself obsessed with the little devil that keeps sneaking onto his property to study his rocks. He can’t seem to stay away from her. She’s ridiculously accident prone so he needs to stay close just to keep her from hurting herself, right?!
Katelyn Carr is twenty six years old and is a bit of a career student studying geology. She loves rocks. They fascinate her. And there are so many to study on Cade’s ranch. But the more they interact, she finds herself noticing the rocks less and him more. Was he always this sexy?
Katelyn was so darn adorable and Cade agrees. She mesmerizes him. Both of these characters have ties to the ranch that go deep, both have sorrow in their pasts. And they are both drawn to each other in ways neither can understand.
It was so much fun watching Cade struggle with his feelings for Katelyn. She kept him on his toes most definitely. They were just so cute together. I love watching a stubborn man fall. He was just so perplexed as to why he couldn’t stay away from Katelyn! This was a fun, sweet, sexy, angst free book that was just so enjoyable. I enjoyed all three books in this series. I definitely hope to see more from this author in the future.

I adored both cade and Katelyn..I also loved all the secondary characters..
the story is so endearing..she is a riot and so clumsy..she has a heart of gold.
Cade is gruff and hard everywhere lol, but just like her he has a heart of gold.
Great story..made me smile all the way through.

Cade has been chasing Katelyn off his property for a while now. But the slightly deranged geology doesn’t give up so easily and Cade has to get creative to deal with the stubborn woman he’s so attracted to.
Jesus. Ahem. I never do that. But I skimmed through most of the spice. It was the SAME DAMN THING. Again. For the third time. I mean, I didn’t expect much? But Jesus. 3 books and the characters are IDENTICAL. The quirky girl. The grumpy guy who apparently spends a bazillion hours going down on the strangely eccentric but obviously beautiful heroine who is super innocent but a sex goddess anyway. Also the horniness after literally 2 minutes. Why. Just. Why.
All the stars are for Joe Arden. I said what I said.

Cade and Katelyn story. Well let me tell you, I wasn't happy that I have to stop reading this book. I loved this book. The story. The characters. The way they interacted with each other.

This is a new author for me and they promised a feel good read, with some schmexy times and no angst so I took a risk. The author does deliver on all of the above. Katelyn is sweet with a giving heart and is mostly down to earth with the exception of her love of rocks. Cade is a billionaire turned cowboy who has a big mushy heart despite his brawn.
Katelyn finally looks up from her rocks and discovers that Cade is a rather appealing man. Whereas Cade has always noticed how adorably sexy Katelyn was. Between Katelyn’s accident proneness and Cade’s need to keep her safe, plus the matchmaking schemes of his ranch hands not to mention the old cantankerous neighbor that likes to meddle in both of their lives keeps this book moving along at a great pace. It will have you laughing at Katelyn’s antics to slip onto Cade’s property unnoticed to visit the rocks, Cade’s exasperation at how she manages to get herself into so many different dangerous predicaments. How all of his ranch hands have decided that Katelyn and Cade belong together, and how they are all secretly trying to maneuver them into each others arms.
Plus who doesn’t like a gruff curmudgeon with a shotgun and a heart of pure mush that is looking out for both of these two loveable characters. Katelyn and Cade are very sweet with some serious heat. There was a bit of angst not too much thankfully it almost looked like things were going to fall apart at the end of the story but thankfully the author kept that part low key and things were resolved fairly quickly. There were a few areas that could have been smoothed out a bit, however it does not detract from the story.

For heaven's sake, this book should come with a warning label!
Words are not enough to convey just how much I loved this book. If you've ever enjoyed reading romantic comedy with fantastic characters and a good dose of steam, you don't want to miss this one. Cade is as alpha as a book boyfriend can be, gruff and growly enough to curl the toes of a nun with such a soft spot for those he cares about. Katelyn is feisty and adorable, the perfect sparring match for Cade, a woman who just can't help making the world around her a brighter, better place.
As with the previous books I've read by this author the writing is stellar, the chemistry and tension is hotter than hot, and the multifaceted characters are instant favorites. The witty banter between all the principle characters is filled with so many laugh-out-loud moments that required putting the book down and wiping away tears. From the curmudgeonly old drama king next door to the four stages of drunkenness when Katelyn discovers moonshine, this book is a non-stop adventure that was a true joy to read.
In addition to the light-hearted humor and delightful characters, there's real heart and love throughout this book. The history that both Cade and Katelyn have with the land is beautifully, if hauntingly, depicted and binds them together on an elemental level. The humor is only exceeded by the emotional depth of the story, making this one of my top favorite reads this year. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Gruff Ass in Love is the third book in the Hard, Fast, and Forever series, but can be read as a stand alone. Katelyn loves rocks and has devoted her life to studying them, especially the ones on Cade’s ranch. Cade tolerates his little trespasser, but is constantly worried about keeping her safe. When they strike a deal to let her stay on his ranch for two weeks, neither expect any of the turns that show up, such as their attraction and how well they fit with each other’s lives. But when someone from her past shows up, can Katelyn keep Cade safe so they can face their future?
Oh my goodness, this book was so good, with the perfect balance between humor, sweetness, steam, and drama. I loved all of it, and every second I spent with Cade and Katelyn was just amazing! I have been looking at this author and series for a while now, but this book finally drew me in, and I’m so thankful it did! Cade is gruff and growly, extremely protective, and all around, a really good guy! Katelyn is a bit of a klutz, but she’s so caring, lived a bit too much in her past, but I loved the way she looks out for and protects those within her circle. I loved Cade and Katelyn together, as they helped open each other up some, but also, they made me giggle and feel so light hearted! Their notes to each other were so fun, I loved the handcuffs, and loved their passion! There were a couple of things that helped to add some drama, and I truly enjoyed everything that came up for this couple! I loved this book, and I definitely want to read the rest of the books in this series!

Gruff Ass In Love is book 3 in the Hard, Fast & Forever series by Sasha Burke.
Katelyn is so adorably clumsy, she was hilarious and so sweet.
Cade was the protective, grumpy, super sexy rancher.
They were so cute together, and the passion and chemistry were audible.
The reviews I saw for this audiobook said it was super steamy, so I expected a lot. Did my expectations get delivered? No, I think the blurb and the reviews I read made me expect something kinkier. Objectively speaking, the reviews were correct, and I would rate this audiobook as sexy or 4 peppers. The multiple descriptive sex scénes were well written and built-up. Sex plays an important aspect of the story but is not the central element.
It's still Joeuary, so obviously, Joe Arden was one of the narrators. I love Joe as hot, rancher Cade, his low, raspy rumble is so sexy. I love how Joe Arden always brings a story to life, every time he transforms into the character and puts every emotion in his voice.
This was my first time listening to the female narrator, Pippa Jayne. I loved her low voice that was sultry and seductive. She also blew life into Katelyn's character and was very into the story.
I enjoyed how the narrators voices meshed, complemented each other, and added to the story.
If you want an entertaining story that is low on drama and high on heat, narrated by two top voices, then this is a must-listen.

I can’t tell you how happy I was when I found out the third book in the ‘Hard, Fast & Forever’ series of connected standalones had finally been released from it’s Amazon prison where it has been languishing for the last several months.
And to say the wait was worth it is an understatement. Sasha is still a relatively new author but that hasn’t stopped her from delivering a fantastic story. Cade is a rancher with a past he wants kept hidden, and Katelyn, is a geology student studying for her Master’s degree and Cade’s ranch has the best rocks in the entire state.
When Katelyn appears on Cade’s ranch and starts playing with his rocks, he doesn’t know whether to run her off or run away wit her. These two had an instant rapporte but kept their feelings to themselves until they couldn’t deny how the felt.
It was a very slow burner but in the best way possible, and didn’t detract from the scorching chemistry they had. We got to know a lot about both Cade and Katelyn just like they did before they got down and dirty, and boy did they ever. It may have taken a while but these two set fire to the pages with their passion and desire. The whole story was filled with emotion and charm, and the secondary characters helped bring it all to life. Plus, I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to this sweet, sexy story than the one I got.

Although this is book 3, I read this one first based on the blurb.
Cade knows Katelyn, a geology student, because she's always sneaking on his property to study the rocks on his land. It is clear that he has a thing for her, but she seems oblivious!
Because we are actually introduced to them when they already have this dynamic, I never really got to the "Gruff" in the title. I suppose he is supposed to be a difficulty person, but he actually exhibits the opposite to Katelyn. He takes great care with her although it is unconventional. Also, she is supposed to be clumsy and accident prone. Fair enough, I guess those incidences happened before we (the readers) are brought into the story.
I just felt this one had no background and I was just thrust in the middle of this story that was already underway and I was suppose to catch up on my own.
It wasn't a bad story, it was actually funny in some places, but I just kept feeling like I was missing information, if that makes any sense.
If you have read the others, I suggest you finish up with this one. Maybe that's why I feel left out, I should have started at the beginning of the series. We'll see, I'm starting the first book next so I hope I feel more connected to that one.

Third book in the series and reads as a standalone just like the first two books. This was a fun quick read with some great sexy times with a side of humor. Cade is a total alpha, but doesn't take it to an infuriating level; and wealthy, but it's not important to him and he keeps it quiet. Katelyn is a book smart, a total klutz and a half, and that natural girl next door that pretty much everyone loves. Both characters have some tragedy in their past that plays a role in this store, but there is no "whoa is me" scenario. There is no "dark" moment that potentially drives them apart even though there are two places where you are tricked into thinking there will be that moment, but actually everyone (minus a tertiary character) is well mannered. My biggest problem with the story is a scene that takes place in a barn. Katelyn attempts to striptease against a wood post, umm... hello SPLINTERS!!! Also, we already known at this point how klutzy she is, but the author just continues with it a little too much at this point and it goes from cute to annoying.

Cade ist ein Millionär, der sich nach einem schlimmen Erlebnis auf seine Ranch zurückgezogen hat. Auf eben diese Ranch schleicht sich mehrmals wöchentlich Katelyn, weil Cades Ranch die besten ......Steine zu bieten hat. Katelyn studiert Geologie und hat immenses Interesse an Cades ......Steinen.

Ich liebe den Schreibstil von Sasha Burke, er ist so lustig und humorvoll. Extremly cute. Die Protagonisten sind sehr gut beschrieben und die Story in sich absolut stimmig, auch wenn es nicht um viel geht. It is an Insta-Love Book with a hot Alpha and a clumsy but very cute woman.
In den Büchern ( dies ist der dritte Teil der Reihe ) von Sasha Burke steht recht schnell fest, dass die Protas sich zueinander hingezogen fühlen und die Geschichte an sich ist eher oberflächlich ohne großen Tiefgang oder markerschütternde Probleme.Was an diesen Büchern jedoch unvergleichlich ist , ist der eingängige, absolut lustige , trotzdem ehrliche Schreibstil der mich oft genug kichern ließ.
Fazit: Beste Unterhaltung mit einer Prise Insta - Love.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I absolutely loved this book. I missed the first two in this series and will have to grab them. Katelyn is smart, funny, sexy and has put a spell of the gruff Cade. Cade is sexy, grumpy and a little bit of a recluse in that he’s left his business, the city and found himself on a ranch doing what he loves and trying to keep his past in the past. Katelyn also has secrets of her own and the chemistry between them is off the charts deliciously hot! Katelyn is a little accident prone and Cade is very protective of her and the more time they spend together the feelings are coming to a head and the question is, will he break his one cardinal rule? One-night and that’s it? Or has his little trespassing fire cracker gotten under his skin to the point where he might want more than one night? Such a great read, highly recommend this book.

Katelyn sneaks onto Cade ranch to looks at the rocks on it for her research. No matter how many times he tells her its too dangerous and not to keep coming the more Katelyn does. Cade gives in and agrees to let her come when she is almost bitten by a snake when she tries to camp out on his ranch over night. Sparks fly between them and Cade fights not to take what he feels is advantage of her. Katelyn gets involved on his ranch and soon even his ranch hands are wrapped around her finger. When Cade finally gives into the temptation and sleeps with Katelyn he knows that he can't let her go. Will Katelyn stay or will she leave to continue her studies?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Sasha Burke is back with Gruff Ass in Love! This time around we get Cade and Katelyn’s sexy and steamy story! Though this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone, however, the previous books were just as sexy and steamy. Cade is a rich rancher with a beautiful and stubborn trespasser. Cade was stubborn, sexy and grouchy. Katelyn was so damn lively and spirited and a whole bunch of charming.
Cade and Katelyn had great chemistry and banter. There is no crazy drama, just two people with a crazy connection, some rocks, an alpha male and the woman who drives him crazy. Sasha Burke gives us funny and sexy romantic comedies that are just so much fun to read. Gruff Ass in Love was full of steamy chemistry I could not put down.

5 stars just doesn't seem good enough!
Gruff Ass in Love by Sasha Burke. Okay first of all -where in the heck have I been (since I apparently missed the 1st two books in this series). No worries, I went and bought them ASAP and both are next on my TBR list. I read ALOT of books and I like ALOT of books but this one went above and beyond any of my expectations just from reading the blurb, to obsessing over the cover; I was hooked before I even started the story. I thought the characters (Cade and Katelyn were incredible – there chemistry and banter was so refreshing (as was the storyline). I loved that it was told in dual POV format and I highly recommend to others looking for humor, hot sex scenes and charming banter. This is definitely one that I will read again and again.

This started out really strong. I was loving the clumsy innocence of our heroine and the sweet and patient over-protectiveness of our hero. The characters are well crafted and even the supporting brought a little something extra to the story.
The storyline was smooth with most of the scenes blending seamlessly into one another making for an easy read. The chemistry between the main characters was off the charts explosive. I really did enjoy them as a couple.
I got a bit hung when it came to Cade's full speed ahead then suddenly slam to a stop antics. And Katelyn, I adored the clumsiness and the innocence- but in my eyes, that does not equate to someone lacking in sense. I felt too often her intelligence and awareness of what was going on was downplayed.
For the most part, a very enjoyable romance that had me laughing, swooning and overall entertained.

I love this Rom com series. This book was hilarious, sexy, and so sweet.
It all starts with Katelyn trespassing onto Cade's ranch. He "lets" her Because he likes the interaction they have when he goes get the accident prone woman to "kick" her off his land, but only so she doesn't hurt herself...more so than she probably has. She gets so into her rocks that if the world was falling around her she would only notice the rocks that were falling.
Cade is a very alpha male and he is finding out just how possessive/protective he is of Katelyn. He just wants her to look at him like she looks at her rocks.
But everyone has a past, can they overcome theirs?

This is kind of a 3.5 for me. Mood-wise it’s PERFECT. The verrrry rare unicorn of all conflict happening strictly outside of the characters so I don’t need to suffer through a manufactured relationship meltdown.
What lowered the stars is the fact that the characters, although both likable (very important!) are utterly unrealistic, to the point of fantasy genre. She’s a klutz to the point that cannot be possible, and he’s not even gruff in practice because he’s fawning over her like a puppy dog the entire time. Not a complaint, necessarily, but this book taught me that in addition to stories that are drama-free, I like to connect to the characters to a degree that I feel like I’ve met them. These characters are quite 2D in that I can’t see them possibly existing.
But that’s fine! Depends on your tastes. Like I said, they’re likable, so no harm no foul.

One Gem of a Romcom!
Gruff Ass in Love by author Sasha Burke is absolutely the funniest book if read so far this year and the author has been put on my “To-Be-Followed” list.
Where to start? This storyline has so many great scenes and exchanges between characters. And it’s not just exchanges between Katelyn and Cade, but also the ranch hands and the neighbor, Winston. One of the best scenes is when the ranch hands are explaining to Cade how Katelyn went through the “stages” after drink moonshine. That was just priceless. Then there is her clumsiness.
Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure.

En FEELGOOD 5:a! Fantastiskt charmig och skön story när man släpper den fåniga titeln o bokomslaget. En klar HEA-bok i sann genrestil men den ger en absolut ALLA myskänslor man kan önska sig (ja även dom lite vuxnare).
Man faller direkt för ranchägaren o alfa-hanen med guld hjärta och quirky-tjejen som ständigt snubblar men samtidigt sprider feel-good-känslor omkring sig i både vildmarken och bland rancharbetarna -en äkta Snövit (fast med ett gäng cowboys istället för dvärgar). Jag lyssnade med ett permanent leende på läpparna genom hela boken. Blir helt kär i alla karaktärer och miljön o önskar det fanns uppföljare eller sidospår om resten av ranchen.
OBS Står dom bok nr 3 i en serie men har INGENTING med de andra 2 böckerna i ”serien” att göra alls.

Not only will you being laughing your butt off with this one but you will probably need multiple panty changes too. I love the give and take between Katelyn and Cade. They just have this amazing chemistry that makes you feel that they have been together forever even when they are just kind of starting out as "friends". I love how they both take each other as they are. You'll just have to read this one to get the full Cade and Katelyn love affair. Sasha Burke hit it out of the park with this one. You have the hot and sexy mixed in with the funny and sweet. I loved every moment of this book and couldn't put it down.

I really enjoyed this one from start to finish. I was hooked right from the beginning. I loved the way Cade is with Katelyn. Cade is definitely alpha and gruff, but Katelyn flips a tender protective switch in Cade. I liked Katelyn's clumsy personality and how she brings out a different side to everyone on the ranch. There is a ton of humor and heart in this book, but it also delivers on the heat. I have to say though the humor is one of my favorite things about the book. The playfulness that Katelyn brings out in Cade is another. This is one you definitely don't want to pass up on. I had a book hangover because i just couldn't put this one down.

I’ve got to admit that my enjoyment level was at its peak reading this contemporary cowboy-like romance between gruff manly Cade and quirky nerd girl Katelyn! The inner dialogue was well written, upbeat, easy to follow and so entertaining!
The author was talented in creating such a good vibe between the couple that had me caring for them from beginning to end.
Just enough drama and sweet witty banter to keep this story a page turning event.
This is the kind of story that will have me search out this author for more!
