Gail Honeyman wrote her debut novel, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, while working a full-time job, and it was shortlisted for the Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize as a work in progress. She has also been awarded the Scottish Book Trust's Next Chapter Award 2014, was longlisted for BBC Radio 4's Opening Lines, and was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize. She lives in Glasgow.
I don’t understand why people are rating this already. There isn’t even a summary out.. that I’m aware of anyways. I doubt these 25 people have already received and read ARCs.
It’s unfair to the authors to be rated even before we’ve seen their work.
On a separate note, after Eleanor Oliphant, I’m looking forward to all the characters Ms. Honeyman brings to life. Can’t wait to know more about the book.
People who are giving this unpublished book bad ratings are probably doing just FINE and are just salty at Eleanor *insert eye roll here* I, on the other hand, cannot wait for this to hit the shelves and plan on cozying up in quarantine with another one of Gail Honeyman's wonderful books.
Also, shame on Goodreads for books that have yet to be published receive ratings!
