This review is purely for me and does contain spoilers and of facts from the book to keep myself in the know at all time.

Arianna and Kade are now facing two enemies; The Dark Lord and Isalinda, The Winter Court Queen. While trying to find ways to defeat them, they most try to use something that might destroy them all; the darkness. Overall, the book was filled with action, it never slows down, filled with friendship and love and all that, however, it didn't work for me. I think I'm just over the series, to be honest. I feel like it's too much Queen Arianna, instead of King Kade AND Queen Arianna together. I thought they were supposed to do everything together, but I feel like Arianna is making every decision, while Kade is acting like the muscle. I don't feel like their equal. In fact, I don't think I've ever felt that, and it has been bothering me. I needed Kade to be more. I'm glad I'm done with the series.

“Swirling copper eyes caressed my skin. I will back whatever you decide. This is your mission. I’m just the muscle.
I laughed, which had a few people looking my way. I’m the muscle, buddy. You’re the pretty face.
Kade shrugged. “Nothing says I can’t be the pretty muscle,” he said out loud. I barely stopped myself from rolling my eyes.”

I like the new covers though:

Other characters:
I've put these in a spoilers tag simply because it's a long as list.

Kade interrupted me before I could finish. “We have a very powerful weapon actually.”
Violet’s eyes got very wide, and she was bouncing on her feet with both hands out in the typical gimme-gimme pose. Kade reached over and pushed me gently into my friend’s arms.
“Arianna is the weapon,” he said.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (NA) Urban Fantasy.
Series: - Series, Book Four.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - King Kade.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Yes.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Unsure.
Will I read this again in the future? - Probably not.
Rating - 2.5 stars.

I can't believe it's over. The series is really over guys.

Arianna and Kade are facing two enemies now: Dark Fae and the Winter Queen. I couldn't decide which one was the bigger threat in my eyes throughout the book. Then these two have to work together to find something that could defeat these two and save the world! Of course I was instantly hooked because I wanted to know how and what these two are going to do.

Arianna and Kade are completely lovable and shippable. I love them so much. However, I feel like this book gave me a lot more of Arianna.. and not enough of Kade. Or of them together. Call me crazy but that's how I felt after reading it! I mean I get that they were a "team" but I feel like Arianna just made decisions and Kade kind of went along with it. Not offering anything into it. HE was just the muscle and that was that. I wanted more from Kade and a little less of Arianna in this book.

Besides that, this book was jam packed with action. I feel like it was constantly happening throughout the book. This overall flow was definitely the main reason as to why I flew through this book. It just somehow escaped my mind to write the actual review until now.

Now of course this book wasn't perfect - it definitely had some flaws. A lot of confusing moments - which could be due to my part if I'm being honest, but it also couldn't be. I just feel like I was missing pieces of information about why characters were acting certain ways or making certain decisions.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was definitely a bittersweet moment because this was the last book for the series. I'm happy that I dove into this series and fell in love with characters. I even loved getting confused and then figuring out everything to ease my confusion. Arianna and Kade were my everything. I can't wait to dive into this series again.

Perfect Ending!

I'm sad to see this series end, but I loved this book. Leia and Jaymin have been some of my favorite authors for a while and I was super excited for this book. Action, adventure, love, betrayal, this story has it all. If you have not read this series start at the beginning and get ready to be sucked into a world where the heroine knows I'm the power gained from love.

Heart racing perfection. I really loved this series and I found this was a good ending to the series. I found the ending was a little rushed. Would have loved it to be a bit longer. Seen more into the future of what happened after all the action in this one. Other then that I thought it was perfect. The cover is absolutely beautiful as are the characters. I enjoyed the writing duo.

Overall, the plot wasn’t as involved as the previous books and the ending was pretty anticlimactic.

“Kade’s eyes deepened to a dark brown and a frown touched his lips. “What if we don’t make it back?”
I sighed. It was a damn good question, just not one I wanted to think about. “You owe me a wedding and babies. We’re making it back. You have forty-eight hours to master that staff. We leave in two days.”
The mention of future babies had a soft sort of grin lifting his cheeks. “With that sort of motivation, how can I refuse?”

Also, it was pretty weird in my opinion how everyone started treating Winnie as Ari’s daughter all of a sudden. I get that she’s much younger, but why?? Don’t get me wrong, I’ll always like this series and would recommend it, but it’s not one of my favorites anymore.

Queen Mecca by Jaymin Eve and Leia Stone a five-star read that fulfils a journey. This is the fourth and final book in the NYC Mecca series and it completes the series in such a manner that you will have a full heart but it will also be a little heavy. It was so nice seeing the end, four books were the perfect length some series go on and can drag a little, but this one ended on a high. I will admit I am sad that it’s over, Ari and her Bear Kade will always have a special place in my heart. This was such a great series the battles that the Wolves and Bears faced apart and then together were some great scenes and the love and passion on the pages made you happy to be alive, not just the love and passion between Ari and Kade but also the love between all of the main characters.
This is such a great series, one of the best shifter series ever written, I have total fan girl down moments whenever I see anything by them is being released I know a good read is coming. Thank you both for a series that I won’t forget these characters have become a part of me and I’m so glad you wrote this story. Once again thank you both.

Read other books from this author in the future: yes

In the last part of the book Ari and Kade fight against the dark fairies and the queen of the Winter-Courth.

I was very happy that I only read the series now after all the volumes had been published. Leia and Jaymin have really good ideas and one waits eagerly for every book of their series.

Deutsche Rezension:

Divine story and absolute adventures!

Wow...if you like stories that are perfectly told, in lands and worlds that incredibly rich in character, read this series! There’s a strong female protagonist and the romance is even believable and very well told! And yes, tears of joy at times along the way. Lots of chewed fingernails during the exciting bits...no spoilers here as these women have many novels each and if you’re new to them, the Queen Mecca series is the last series I read and it’s amazing too :-))

True pure power

Arianna and Kade rush to find the answers they need to overcome the Dark Fae and the evil Winter Queen. Finding the other evil stone before the dark fae finds it is terrifying. Who is safest from the evil energy it emits. Time is running out and they are doing everything for their people. A great good versus evil read.

Magical journey comes to an end

This book was my favourite by far and Ari has grown so much since first being crowned. An interesting journey delving into the other world's and finding out who she was. Family is not just blood sometimes it the people we choose to love that become our true family. I liked the way the authors tied up all the loose ends and they all got the ending they deserved.

Well what I drug out for far longer than I intended too. I loved the start of this series the whole though, I waited for the next book to be released. Then when Queen Mecca finally it my kindle I kept putting it off. I didn’t want to be let down. It seems to be the theme for me this years the final books seem to not believing up to their previous leg of the series.

Sadly this book did not break that cycle.

When we first met Arianna in book one she was training to become a fierce Queen, She was strong and powerful and held her own ground while protecting those she cared most for, but by the time book 4 has come around she seems so consumed by her relationship that with every action she decided is necessary to take to win the war it seems to stem around Kade and their relationship. I get that they are trying to merge not just their two worlds but now the world of Fae also, but it no longer seemed that Ari was able to stand on her own two feet.

I was disappointed that this series seemed to be more than the romance and lacking on the action that seemed to be built up through the other books.

I also found the new cover to be off-putting. The character look stiff with each other. They are supposed to be madly in love, but it seems as though they are having an awkward 6th grade slow dance. I do however thing the remake of the covers for book 1-3 are remarkable.

The plot still while thicken just enough to keep me reading and wanting a conclusion was dry. The connections seemed arbitrary. It felt like an ending to series I had never read. I found the use of magic (Dark, Mecca, Fae) to be used to the fullest potential and was really the driving force behind the story. Which was both a good and bad aspect. Good because it kept things moving but bad because it seemed be the only factor linking the works.

It just didn’t cut it for me.

Queen Mecca (NYC Mecca Series Book 4)

I loved this book, Its a toss up between which one I loved more the 3rd or this one.... but either way this was still an amazing storyline that I couldn't put down. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better this book has everything you could imagine all tied up in a messy bow.... It is fast paced and yet you never get lost ~ Magic ~ Romance ~ and a Kick ass heroine.

I love ❤️ all of her familiars and Arianna’s dominates because they are great, and they work so amazing together. I know that they have been together since a young age, and they are loyal to Queen Arianna because she always puts them 1st, but they are more like family and care for each other. The dynamics between all of the main characters is one to be RESPECTED IN THIS SERIES...

Wonderful conclusion to the Ari and Kade (NYC Mecca) series. The authors did a wonderful job of wrapping up the unanswered questions from the previous books. Who couldn't love Ari and Kade. I know I did and they make a fabulous duo! They complimented each other and brought the boroughs together the way they were meant to be, she is a true Queen in all sense of the word!!!

The book is definitely a page turner, I would definitely NOT recommend that you read this before going to bed because you WILL NOT PUT IT DOWN!! I started reading this one around 11pm telling myself I would only read a chapter, that was until I almost finish the book the next morning and my iPad was in my hands while I was sleeping 😴, lol 😂!!!!

I would DEFINITELY Recommend this series!!! Just remember that you will NOT want to put these books down once you start, you will pick it up every time you have a free moment !!! 🙂☺️
Hoping for a spin off series!!!! 😉🤩

4.5⭐️

‘Queen Mecca’ is book four and the Finale in the co-authored series NYC Mecca by Leia Stone and Jaymin Eve. This is the finale for this series, books 1-3 must be read prior, everything is coming to its conclusion. I have loved reading this series and now I’m sad to leave NYC and all the shifters I’ve come to grow and love.

After getting her crown back and the wolves and bears agreeing to work together. Ariannas short moment of peace is ruined with the fear of the Winter Queen and Demons coming to Earth. New powers, new enemies, new troubles and issues, how’s a Wolf supposed to enjoy her mate and life if there is always something new coming up.

OMG!!! Where do I start, this book had all the feels, so much happening. I’m so happy with the way this series ended, but I’m also so very sad it has ended. I’ve loved every moment following Ari, Kade and the rest of the guys, I feel like I’m part of the pack.

It is so hard to write this review as I don’t want to give away spoilers and ruin the roller coaster you are about to embark. If there is one thing that I can say with certainty is you must get this series and read it, go now READ it you will not be disappointed.

The character development throughout the series is fantastic, and you feel connected to every one of them. The chemistry between Arianna and the love interest, Kade, the tension between allies and enemies, and the constant twists and turns of the plots kept me on the edge of my seat.

World-building in this series is also phenomenal, with shifters, the familiars, dark and light Faes, Magic Borns and Elves and their magical abilities that are both beautiful and dangerous. I was fully immersed in this world and didn't want to leave.

However, what I loved the most about this series is the message of love and the power it holds. Arianna's journey has shown us that love is not a weakness but a strength. It can heal, protect, and conquer even the darkest of evils. This story is a reminder that love is the most potent force in the universe that can overcome any obstacles.

In conclusion, this series is a must-read for all fantasy lovers who enjoy a strong and capable female lead, friendship, an engaging plot filled with magic, epic adventure filled with action, and a touch of forbidden romance. I was not disappointed when I joined Arianna on her exciting adventure!

Holy Shifter Babies ♡♡♡ What a heartfelt and uplifting end to one of the best shifter series ever written!! This series has been filled with conflicts, loss and sad goodbyes. But... it's had moments of immense joy, unending love and scenes that feed your soul. The story was unique and fresh and completely captivating!! What an absolute thrill to read a story that was mature in both theme and content. These were wise and conflicted characters and yet at the same time they were perfect in their love for each other and for their duty to their people and families. One can not praise Jaymin Eve or Leia Stone enough for creating this beloved series that was so memorable, positive and uplifting ♡♡♡ These ladies each posses such beautiful hearts that everything they pen is amazing and breathtaking. They know how to weave one magical tale that is beyond memorable ♡ I could not have dreamed up a more marvelous conclusion to this love story ♡♡♡♡ Thank you ladies for sharing your talents with us readers!

A satisfying conclusion to the series. The writing is solid, no plot holes or inconsistent characters or action sequences. But even considering this and my love for Jaymin Eve’s work, it took me a while to get into this novel. I think perhaps it might have something to do with this being a 4th book instead of a 3rd- no psychologically neat trilogy here. Or it could be adrenal fatigue resulting from the series of death defying scenes. Or because the characters seemed to have boundless energy and don’t need as much sleep and sustenance as I do. Apparently there’s only so much perfection I can take. The romance between Kade and Ari is too sweet and perfect and of course there is the traditional baby HEA. I don’t think it’s really spoiling anything by commenting on it. If you didn’t see it coming from book 2, then you weren’t really paying attention.

Overall, it beats out nearly every other book I’ve been reading lately and so was a lovely respite from my inner grammar critic. She was silenced during this novel. Huzzah!

I had taken a break from this series after book 3 not because the series was bad but because book 3s ending had a finality to it that made the series feel almost completed to me. Making me feel it was ok to move on for a bit. I am glad I came back to finish the series! I do like happy endings! There were a couple of things that I wasn’t a fan of in this series. One being the self doubt monologues from Ari, that being said a couple of self doubt monologues aren’t bad in fact they make an otherwise too extraordinary character feel more real, however there were a couple of times I was sighing and rolling my eyes at what should have been such a strong fierce character’s morbidly extensive self doubt. Although I feel most loose ends were wrapped up, I still want to know about the rebellious shifters what becomes of them? Also, what did the prince of the summer court whisper to Dante before the quest, and how is their alliance fairing? All in all a good relatively fast read ended kind of abruptly for my tastes but all’s well that ends well.

It's Time For The Final Battles To Decide Everyone's Fate!!💥👑🐺🌹❄🍁
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)
Queen Mecca (NYC Mecca Series Book 4)

This was an excellent finale to this series!🌟 The briefly mentioned 'Dark Fae Lord' is in this book in quite a big way. With a scary find from the late Red Queen's bed chamber, it sets Ari & Kade on a path that they may not survive!!😱 In preparation for the coming war the children, all heirs, non combatants & core shifters, that both the Queen & King feel could help train new Royalty if they were to fall, as well as keep the shifter traditions alive, are all evacuated to California!💔🙏😍 It's heart breaking but necessary 😭

Wow, this was an action packed, roller coaster of a story!😳 I loved how Ari & Kade always tried to grab a little time together, no matter how brief, just to touch base with each other & remember exactly what they were fighting to save!!💘 I adored the epilogue 😍🎉 This was a wonderful series 👑🌟

I didnt want to see this end!

I fell in love with Arianna and Kade throughout this series and this final book in the series did not disappoint! I encourage everyone to read this series, it will take you on an adventure, with amazing MCs and side characters, great battle scenes and love scenes, and some snarkiness that I absolutely enjoyed the entire time.

One of my top 5 series that I have read over the last year! I hope Jaymin and Leia will come back to this world and write some spinoff series or novellas from some of the other characters POVS. I usually include a summary of what happened but I think if I tried, I would do it a disservice. You will want to read this book without any spoilers or hints of what is to come. Thank you Jaymin and Leia for this incredible story <3 Also, I seriously need my own Kade!!

Talk about going out with a bang. This final installment had me rolling around in a field of emotions. I laughed, I teared up, I got flipping frustrated, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy vengeance. The story began slowly, knitting the final pieces of the puzzle together before it takes off like a rocket. It was awesome watching Ari step fully and completely into her power as Queen of all the things. Talk about a boss! One thing that these ladies do very well is creating well rounded side characters. Violet is probably my favorite character in the whole series, she's BA and super funny. The ending had me bouncing around wishing there would be more, but knowing my heart felt good with how everything was wrapped up. It was a joy reading the Mecca series. <3

Rarely is the last book in a series the best but this one truly is. Ari is the strongest and most capable heroine of any of the books by either author. She rules and makes decisions with such grace, love and ferocity. I adore the relationships she has with each member of her close knit family and friends. Each person is treated with such respect for the person they are and the place they are in life. I want to be her. Not in her queenliness but just the person that she is. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The ending was very satisfying. I approached it with a little sadness that i wouldn't be able to continue to spend time with Queen Arianna, King Jade and Princess Winnie, but happiness that the world had come together as it should..

I finished this book because of two things - I like to complete a series and I like other books from each of these authors separately.

It's a good story and has action that moves it along. Unfortunately for me, I was distracted by the number of times Arianna talks about being worried for action over actually performing action. Everything is also super easy for her. If something blocks her path, she suddenly has a hidden affinity for it that surfaces at just the right time.

While a bit sappy sometimes, I do love that there was not a love triangle in this series. True love stuck the first time and they stayed together.

This series in general is an easy, quick read and can be fun. Like a good hallmark channel movie while you sip wine and eat chocolate.

I started this book in the airport and told my boyfriend he had to stop texting me so I could read my book because Queen Mecca was AMAZING--I couldn't put it down! King Kade and Queen Ari are quite possibly my favorite couple of all time! I absolutely loved how Jaymin and Leia worked together to tell such an amazing story and somehow, you can't tell which of them wrote one part (which is a good thing--it means the book flows and is cohesive and very well written). I sincerely hope the duo writes more books together, the story of the Bears and Wolves was beautifully written and I was sad to see it come to an end, though the ending was wonderfully done. Well done, Ladies!

WOW! What an ending to the series. I LOVE IT! Seriously, everything was tied together and questions were answered. From book one Kade was a new book boyfriend to me and throughout this book I loved him even more. He’s one strong dude. The chemistry and love between Kade and Ari is stronger than ever and overcomes so much. Ari is amazing. She’s so strong and never gives up on herself or those she loves including her people. The battles Ari, Kade, and their friends go through is nail biting and will have you captivated. Great job, Jaymin Eve and Leia Stone on this whole series. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

For some reason I had such a hard time getting through this one. I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the series but maybe I just felt that this was just one book too long. The last one just left it with an almost perfect ending that I guess I was satisfied and didn’t need another one so it made this one feel dragged out. I found myself rushing and skimming so much up until about 60%. There just wasn’t anything surprising and it felt standard: training, studying, more training, go someplace for fun to just get attacked, etc. Luckily I did enjoy the final battle and the ending wrapped the whole series up in a nice little bow.
