Bad Decisions

Rate this book
Reformed bad girl and unapologetic nerd Tabitha Wells is focused on just one thing... making it though her last year of law school. Any free time she has is filled by her job at Fernando’s Club, scheduling other people’s illicit encounters. Arranging that schedule is the closest she’s come to sex in ages - until she finds out that her friends Jason and Nate are now a couple, and one night, her dirty fantasies about them come true.

Nathan and Jason want to take that one night, and build a future with it. They see exactly what’s missing from their lives in sexy, goofy, YA Fiction-loving Tabitha. Can they convince her that they’re worth her time? And worth the cost to her (already battered) reputation?

Even if they win Tabitha over, can they steer around Jason’s past, and navigate Nate’s career ambitions?

With three people’s futures at stake, is love a bad decision?

DNF. The main character of Tabitha just annoyed me. I realise she had social anxiety, but she also seemed to have a victim mentality because of her colour and she got on my nerves.

This book was soooooo good! Loved it! I've been looking for good multicultural menage romance and it's so damned rare that stumbling onto this jewel was an unexpected end of the year gift. So yeah, forts : best menage bisexual MMF I've read for a looong time. I love bisexual MMF. With every one in the relationship in love with one another. Also it was a multicultural one, with 2 POC (and considering the 3rd can be seen as more 'white passing' and definitely NOT wasp). So this was the second, no 1st best thing. The writing and characterization was also top notch. At first I wanted to get the other perspective as well as Tabitha's, 'cause I always feel a bit cheated when having only one of the main characters POV. But I ended up not minding.. Much. Although it also meant that as readers we were not as close to the guys as we were to T. Tabitha was a great character. I may have rolled my eyes a tiny bit with her description as light skinned (I can' t help! #teamDarkskinned Representation matters folks! And colorism is alive and still fucking with our cultural representation so much... Ugh), but that was the tiny little slip. And the story and writing was so good, I let it slide. Tabitha's world, mind process, smart, insecurities, boldness, mental issues, hopefulness made for a compelling and enjoyable character. I felt the coincidence of her fantasizing about both her future lovers who happened to be connected to her differently was pushing a bit, being a bit contrived. But I get it was necessary to tie her two professional worlds together. And the similar interests and activities she shared with both Jason and Nate was also a bit too convenient. The understanding of T and Nate family about their relationship was a bit... too easy, even if, in T's case, being from SF would make one assume that they would be a bit more 'open minded'. But even that wasn't too jarringly unrealistic. And T's family were an interesting bunch. And I liked how Tabitha, Jason and Nate's relationship started so sexually charged and while their chemistry kept being strong and hot, the emotional side of the relationship also grew throughout the story. The sex was hot, hot, hot ! And the dynamics of their relationship so caring and sweet. I liked how upfront the guys were, even though they let her come to them. There were no stupid misunderstanding or fake drama for the sake of it. The crisis they had to go through was a realistic one, not due to some immaturity or jealousy, but very organic to the situation. And the ending was a bit abrupt, but very satisfying also. Ah! Take that Weasel!
So great story, great characters, great sex, great emotional connections. Yep, that was a great read!

Again a cover that makes a book look like it’s more about sex than anything else. But I’d say this book is more about relationships and life changes. How to balance friendships, romance, school, work, family and passions/hobbies (protagonist is/was a dancer). And once again we learn that communication is key above all else.

And again with the funny references to driving in San Francisco, which for the record SUCKS!

I’m excited to see what else this author writes.
There are some typos but not a bazillion like some indie authors.

Sometimes books feel too real for me to enjoy them. I use fiction as an escape so normally I'm not into romances with realism. This one, however, was both hot and genuine. I rooted for all the characters with their individual struggles. Tabitha is a fantastic heroine and has ideas ans morals that are similar to my own. You go girl, Tabitha. You get those boys!

The story is a great set up and a fast finish. I recommend!

I loved this book. The black female MC isn't whiny or a damsel in distress. She deals with anxiety and some real life problems. She's independent, quirky, and her family is awesomely supportive. As are her men who have issues of their own.

Oh man, I adored this book. The heroine is a black YA fantasy nerd with social anxiety, and it's glorious. I could relate to her so well.

I also thought the guys were wonderful, and they were characterized extremely well, something that can't always be said for menage romances.

I have the prequel to this book, about the heroine's boss, to be read, and I'm looking forward to it.

I'd recommend this one especially if you like Charlotte Stein. It's got the same deep heroine POV, and while the sex isn't quite so graphic, it's still extremely hot!

Also, I read this because a Goodreads reviewer said the heroine played the victim too much because of her color... so that's how we know one-star reviews sell books.

Excellent quick read. I came for the hot threesomes, but stayed for the plot. I was up entirely too late at night after the reveal of Jason’s heritage, and couldn’t stop until I found out what was in his father’s will!

I downloaded this because I wasn’t in the mood for any of the dozen fantasy and sci-fi romances in my Kindle and physical libraries. I wanted simple contemporary romance. What I got was not simple, with frequent references to the genres I specifically was not in the mood for, but I couldn’t put it down. While the romance is sweet and super satisfying, what I really enjoyed was the way the protagonist’s anxiety is written. While my anxiety manifests differently from Tabby’s, and I cope (or don’t) differently, I really appreciated the way it intrudes constantly into Tabby’s consciousness. I can relate to that far more than to the experience of dating two insanely hot guys—even if one has ADHD like my husband.
